Ive been a member of break into tech for 4 months now. Secured a job with 42k OTE with a leading tech company. I can honestly say, the support provided is amazing both from Bilal and the community. The resources range from how to do your cv, how to interview and role play scenarios. We even get guest speakers giving us advice and their experience working as an SDR / account executive. I’m 26 and recently secured a £58K OTE role in health tech sales – full-cycle, closing role.

I joined Break Into Tech because I knew I wanted to get into tech sales and had already been referred into an assessment centre by a friend, but I wanted some extra structure and personalised advice to make sure I was fully prepared.

The course helped me get clarity on how to frame my experience on my CV, understand the interview process, and feel more confident walking into the hiring day. What really stood out was the support from Bilal – especially when I got the offer. It took me about two weeks to land the role after going through the hiring day.

I’m in my late 20s and after months of coming across Lara’s tik tok videos, I reached out and joined the break into tech program. I studied Finance and worked in local government but I knew I wanted more. At the start of the program, Milan advised as I studied finance to look into Fintech and that’s exactly what I did. Hi my name is Dani! I’m 25 years old, and my background prior to joining the program was in customer service. I didn’t have no sales experience (never mind tech sales) with hardly any connections to anyone that works in the industry, plus - I have no degree. I joined Break Into Tech because I wanted to get into the industry that rewards you well for the work you put in, I was struggling with landing interviews, TAKING the interviews themselves and just getting the opportunity to present myself. In less than 2 months! I landed interviews and also an offer of £32k base + £15k uncapped OTE! A life-changing salary as a business development representative.

The BIT community helped me how to manage CRM platforms, reach out to recruiters, branding myself, 1-2-1 coaching, weekly coaching sessions on interviews, job applications, CV writing etc.

My final advice to anyone who’s on the ‘sea-saw’ of ‘should I do it?’ I say, take the LEAP OF FAITH! It worked out for me despite my usual skepticism mindset 😅.

Just Do It!

I’m a 25 year old who is a biomedical science graduate and has 2 years of sales experience. I came across tech sales on tik tok and discovered this is very similar to what I’m already doing but with double the salary and great career progression.
This appealed to me because that’s exactly what I was lacking in my role. As tech and ai is taking over the world it made sense to get into this field. It took me a few months to land my job - I could’ve landed it quicker if I wasn’t working full time. I’m now an SDR with first year earnings estimated to be 55k OTE. Being part of the BIT program I had a guide that I could follow but also a support network of individuals who were in the same boat which was very helpful. This program has also helped me build my personal brand on LinkedIn which helped me land this job and any other jobs in the future.

I honestly was stuck for two years because I just wasn’t sure how to go about jumping into tech sales (edtech)

I landed a £62K/year Tech Sales role in 3 months!!

This programme and experience took me from one career into the start of another!

At the start you experience a deep dive into your career and academic history and also your drive to break into tech, in my case tech sales! From here you can lay out the road map and goals within a certain time frame and set expectations between yourself and your mentor.

This was followed by a thorough breakdown of my current CV and guidance on what to add, what to remove, how to format etc in order to meet the requirements for those first stage interviews and bypass the ATS software. Once the CV is good to go, you’re given advice and tools on where to apply, how to apply and how to outreach to hiring managers or existing employees for referrals.

Luckily for me, by focusing on what makes me stand out as a person alongside Bilal’s advice and checking in with him regularly, I was able to land a ton of interviews and several offers within 5 weeks. I pursued the offer that was most suited to my passion, which is software centred around people and i’ve learnt so much already. Without break into tech, I think i could have definitely made it as a SDR in tech sales, but it would have taken me 10x longer to tap into a job market that is competitive without that insider mentoring and support. One thing I learnt is you need to act fast, so many people want to venture into this career path. The investment I put into this, be it time, money or effort has paid off and was worth it!

The day before a final stage interview, the founder of break into tech called me and ran through the brief I was given and guess what.. I got the role.
