This initially was a good product for our small company. However, we grew fast so I as CEO wanted to hand off the Admin duties to my executive assistant. After multiple emails over several days, (where my question was not answered, just a set of guidelines which I already told them I’d tried) the “customer success” team sent the most convoluted, enormously complicated instructions which none of us can figure out. In effect, my @me. iOS email is ok but none of my company gmails can be used to create a co-admin account. That’s all we have, and anyone knows that @me email is specific to my own computer. I can’t “add” a remote worker to that. If you could speak with a real person it may help but we are not renewing our subscription, it’s been a complete waste of our time. They need a team there called “customer failure” to help keep good clients from jumping ship.

Scam.

I used a QR code app for something and accidentally clicked on the advertisement without realising it. I clicked on paying 0.01 and accepted without any indication that I had just agreed to an incredibly expensive abonnement.

SCAM- they charged my over £57 for 3 business licenses that I was totally unaware that I signed up for - I clicked a link that a colleague sent me to access some files, no explanation that the charges would be taken and their customer service is non-existent.
I can't even log in to my account online any more so I have no idea whether the charges will continue. Being held hostage by slow and unhelpful replies to emails.

Adding new seats is easy, but be CAREFUL!!! Once you add, they make it IMPOSSIBLE to reduce. They say its for "security." But really, they just want to keep billing you for seats you are not using.

They provide a number to call if you need to reduce seats. You will get a very unhelpful, scripted response directing you to billing. If you call billing, they say you need to email "cancel@box" This is a blackhole that will get no response. From there, you can try submitting a support ticket which also will get no response.

Any new seats you add are impossible to remove! This should be illegal, honestly it might be. Anyone file a class action yet?

Già il fatto che accettano solo contanti dovrebbe farvi capire che è una truffa. Potete vendicarvi solo in un modo: ordinate e, al momento della consegna rifiutate il pacco. Loro si pagheranno le spese di trasporto. Se tutti facessimo così, smetterebbero. Io non ho ordinato perché sapevo dall’inizio che è una truffa.

Impossible to figure out how to opt out of the free trial and cancel the subscription.. Frustrating experience that lost my trust and desire to re-signup when the needs matures to use otherwise a very fine cloud system.

Suspected of sharing personal information and confidential conversations with end client without permission.

I have 3 users in business plan but it limits only 1TB. not good for business.

We're paying $1500 a year for just 600 GB of storage with no option available to increase storage. Have found an alternate solution to replace Box and am never going back. Is stunning how terrible this company is at customer service.

If you want to get to know your city, Box now is your courier. You will be chasing your shipment for days. They will send it not where it is indicated, but where it is convenient for them. Never use this courier voluntarily.

Lost 98% of my files, terrible customer service, slow in coming back to help, moving over to someone else as soon as they pull their finger out.
Update.
They have solved my issue by not gaining any of my work back.
I would suggest staying away from Box as a safe option and am now in the process of taking them to court.
Avoid at all costs. If I could give no stars on this I would.

I’ve been using Box with an Enterprise Plus subscription, paying over €1600 annually, and the support has been nothing short of terrible. For over a month, I’ve been dealing with issues related to upload limitations and a failed migration of 13TB of data. Despite repeated attempts to get help, I’ve been bounced between multiple support agents with no resolution.

The biggest frustration is the rate limitation placed on my account. Even after upgrading to a higher plan, I was told the issue would be resolved by a certain date, but it wasn’t. Every time I try to get help, I’m asked to provide logs and captures, and even after doing so, nothing gets fixed. The response time is slow, and it feels like they’re more interested in passing the problem around than actually solving it.

If you rely on Box for your business, be prepared for serious delays and poor support. I expected much more from a premium service, but the experience has been a nightmare. I’ll be looking for alternatives that offer better customer care and service reliability.

I had to set up a box account to transfer files to someone WITH a box account. I DIDN'T WANT a box account, just transfer files as is easy with SharePoint or Google Drive. Setting one up took too long, involved too much personal information from my system, and now, I can't delete or deactivate it without going through a long process. DO NOT USE BOX

Plenty of reviews have already mentioned the scam (and they're right - their business model is clearly based on extorting you for your own documents)
But that's not even the worst part! A user deleted a root folder by accident. Shouldn't be a problem, just log-in as the admin and restore the folder, right?
Instead 1,000s of files came back with no folder structure - I cannot exaggerate what a serious disaster that was for our company.
Since then we tried everything we could to manually back-up Box ourselves, but you can't even do that! To download through browser is impossibly slow and the connection would break (can 100% confirm that has nothing to do with our end). When we finally left them we had to pay extra to download our files through an FTP client - and even then it took 12 hours and was an unmitigated nightmare.
Customer support just copy and pasted links to the FAQ - honestly it was insulting how poor their treatment was.
