Ich habe bei der Registrierung versehentlich eine nicht existierende E-Mail-Adresse mit falscher Domain eingegeben (".fe" statt ".de"). Diese Adresse kann nicht existieren, trotzdem wurde sie akzeptiert – ein offensichtlicher Validierungsfehler.
Seitdem versuche ich über den Support eine Lösung zu finden. Trotz mehrerer Nachrichten und der Bereitschaft, meine Identität zu verifizieren, bekomme ich nur automatisierte Antworten, die mein Anliegen komplett ignorieren. Es wird stoisch darauf verwiesen, dass ich mich an den "E-Mail-Anbieter" wenden solle – obwohl diese Domain gar nicht existiert. Es scheint niemand wirklich hinzusehen.
Ich erwarte nicht, dass man mir leichtfertig Zugriff gewährt – aber ich erwarte, dass man individuelle Anliegen ernst nimmt. Das Verhalten des Supports ist intransparent, kundenunfreundlich und schlicht ignorant.
Box.com sollte dringend überdenken, wie mit solchen Fällen umgegangen wird. Fehler passieren – aber die Art und Weise, wie sie ignoriert werden, ist enttäuschend.
Admins can't force basic security on lower tier business accounts!
Signed up for a paid business account. It is almost impossible to believe that a company would restrict access to basic security policies (like MFA and password complexity) to their high priced accounts. I can understand limiting advanced security options but this a deal breaker. How could I use their services as a business when Box.com doesn't give me the ability to enforce basic best practices!

Truffa facile da individuare. Osservare sito, contatti. Non c'è un numero di tel, no la sede. Solo un indirizzo email. Poi con chi ti arrabbi? Con una mail che non risponde? Non vogliono essere rintracciati. La polizia postale non interviene in questi casi, perche 2 prodotti probabilmente li inviano nella scatola, quindi anche se dal valore di pochi euro, non hanno trattenuto soldi per nulla in cambio, quindi non c'è truffa. L'unico modo per fermarli è non credere a illusioni che manderanno smartphone o tablet etc. Arriveranno tutte cose che potete leggere nelle recensioni...si salvi chi può, non dategli vita facile, quei 50 euro teneteli in tasca. Osservate la pagina del sito ai contatti e se vi soffermate un attimo inizierete a notare cose strane, non sono trasparenti. Non si sa chi sono e dove sono. Fermate la frenesia di far l affare. Respirate 10 secondi, e rivedete il tutto. Frenate l'impusto momentaneo. Io ci cascai anni fa e so cosa si prova ad agire d'impulso. Ora vedo ancora pagine simili che provano ad abbordare gente in buona fede. Fatevi un regalo con quei 50 euro, teneteveli in tasca. Scordatevi la possibilità che vi inviino tablet, drone, smartphone. Nulla di tutto questo arriverà, ma oggettini di plastica cinesi dal valore complessivo di 2,3 euro, quanto basta per essere truffa, per non trattenere soldi in cambio di nulla. At no point during the booking process did their site indicate that the tickets in question were restricted view so when the booking receipt came through stating that the seats were restricted view I immediately contacted box office for a refund.
Box office allocated the case to someone called Samantha who was initially very helpful saying that I needed to activate my insurance protection and that once I had done so to let her know and she would cancel the resulting credit note and process a full refund.
Although I was happy with that scenario in the event since activating the insurance and emailing Samantha the company has simply ignored me.
Really poor customer service and clearly a misleading web order screen flow - T&C’s might say no cash refund but I do expect the actual sale to reflect what is shown as being on offer ie unrestricted view seats.
Clearly Samantha recognised the flaw in deciding to process a full refund but- just a shame she did not honour that commitment

Misleading plan subscriptions and abysmal customer service
I really wish I'd read the reviews on Trustpilot before signing up for a subscription with these scoundrels. They are willfully misleading about how their subscriptions work, but once you've bought a subscription you're out of luck. You can't cancel and they have absolutely the WORST customer service imaginable. It took me days to figure out how to submit a ticket and then the nightmare began...they are now holding my data hostage because I refuse to pay the exorbitant fee for our very small company's BOX subscription. To add insult to injury, it turns out that Box doesn't actually sync everything to your local drive, holding some files in the cloud for inexplicable reasons--well, actually it's not inexplicable, because what they do is hold your data hostage if you have a conflict with them. BUYER BEWARE: If you backup your data from BOX, make sure that everything is actually ON YOUR LOCAL DRIVE before backing it up. One of the most despicable companies I have dealt with in a very long time...

I need secure file transfer and have been sent Box links for this purpose. The system is impossible to get past the 2-factor authentication and as a consequence has been unusable despite a huge amount of wasted time attempting to resolve. Box customer service is abysmal. I would recommend any company considering Box to steer well clear of it. Fully justifies the 1.1 Trustpilot score

WARNING: AVOID Box File Service at All Costs!
I have never encountered such a frustrating, infuriating, and utterly unprofessional service in my life! Box File Service auto-renewed my subscription without my consent, and I was charged a day before I even realized what had happened. As soon as I discovered the charge, I immediately reached out to their support team to explain that I no longer wanted the service and asked for a refund. You would think that a company would at least try to make things right, but no — instead, they hid behind their Terms and Conditions like a shield to justify their blatant disregard for customer satisfaction.
Their response was not only dismissive but completely unhelpful. They refused to refund me, citing some obscure clause in their “ToC,” as though it somehow absolves them of any responsibility for poor business practices and their failure to inform customers about auto-renewals.
It’s clear that Box doesn’t care about customer loyalty or providing fair service. They trap you with auto-renewals that you don’t authorize and then hide behind arbitrary terms to avoid fixing the situation when things go wrong. This is nothing short of a scam. They’re not transparent, not accommodating, and not ethical.
The lack of basic customer care is staggering. I’ve had far better experiences with free services than with this so-called “premium” provider. I’m absolutely disgusted and will NEVER use Box again. I would encourage everyone to avoid them at all costs. There are plenty of other file services that value their customers and don’t play these shady, underhanded games.
Stay far away from Box File Service. You’ve been warned.
Auto-renews billing without consent, Cannot cancel account
UPDATE 11.2.25: I so wish I could add attachments to my review as evidence (which I do have). It would prove this company is a scam, by their own admission.
They came back to me yesterday saying 'correct, there is no auto-renew feature that YOU can turn off. Only we can do that - because it is not visible to customers.'
What the hell! Only this company can control the auto-renew payment???? That's as dodgy as it comes.
Then they promised me they would escalate to management and ask for a "special favour" to get me my refund for the current term I was fraudulently deducted. "No promises" management would agree to it, but they would "try on my behalf". On this, I sent them back a blunt email pointing out I have now escalated their scam to my bank, consumer protection, Choice Magazine, and ACCC, and sent those authorities screenshot evidence of my experience with their website, along with the link to the 500+ negative reviews on here about their scam billing practices.
NOT SURPRISINGLY, this morning I wake up to an email from Box.com saying 'lucky you - management has agreed to your refund and it has now been processed, AND, I have now canceled the account on your behalf'.
People - that this company controls auto-renew payments (not the customer), and the customer cannot cancel the account (only this company can), is a scam.
AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS.

It set my account to auto-renew without my consent. When I requested a refund it, it sent me a back a T&Cs saying I needed to alert them min. 3 days before the renewal date, otherwise I'm locked in for the full next term (another year) - no refund due to their T&Cs.
In their reply, they say they have 'done me a favour' and set my account to deactivate on 5 February 2026 so I won't be charged in an auto-renewal for another term.
>> To avoid further charges, here's what I did, I set your account to deactivate at the end of your term, February 5, 2026. Rest assured that no further charges will be incurred after that. Please remove any content you wish to keep as your files will be deleted.
So I logged in today to check my account settings to verify this 'cancellation' and there's NOTHING on the account page that shows me the account has been set to deactivate on 5 February 2026. In fact, there's NO LINK and NO POSSIBILITY to even turn OFF auto-renew. The option simply does not exist - ANYWHERE.
The only option available is to cancel the account - so I did that today -- only for it to tell me

What the hell??????? It's 2025 people - how are companies still legitimately allowed to be in business with over 500 one-star ratings, almost exclusively about scamming/ dodgy billing practices from THIS COMPANY.

Try to increase your seats and they will fall all over themselves to do so - charging you a proportionate balance of the residual term. Fair enough.
Yet try to reduce the number of seats and they quote contractual terms and say no refund possible.

If I could give Mika from Box Customer service 0 stars I would. Still locked out of my box account. The company I am an independent contractor for is a premium account holder, but apparently that means squat when it comes to getting one of their contractors logged back in. Further, I've sent them every piece of documentation they ask and then they need something else. Or it's... Well we can't use that. Send this instead. It's been a full week and all I need is for them to send me the damn QR code or take 2FA off so I can log back in. Short of mailing them my goddamn DNA, I don't know what more I can do to prove the account I have been locked out of is mine. Oh, and even better. Mika only deems me worthy of one email a day to try and get this issue resolved. What a dumpster fire of a company.
