Quick responses and they answer every single question. I had multiple questions in each reply of correspondence so nothing was missed. The only change I recommend on the site is to clearly stipulate the location of every retreats location at the beginning of the details and if they share with a sister premises and make the photos unique to the property or the specific retreat activities. I asked the question and bookretreats did clarify and confirm that some photos are the same on other retreats as they utilise a sister property.

Sugar coated “Happy Yogis” After telling the team about a very bad experience with a retreat leader, promoted on this page, I got a insulting answer and the *aren't we all just happy* attitude showed that they didn't take my complaint seriously at all. I realize that it is difficult to make a decision when two statements contradict each other. However, their respond was in bad taste.
They were able to assess the intentions from the retreat leader after getting the respond to my complaint from her and then gave a recommendation, based on that.
Recommend that a person who has had bad experiences in the form of crossing boundaries, insults and the spreading of conspiracy theories by the retreat leader/ therapist/yoga teacher should continue working with that person further on.
Stating, that working together with that retreat leader again is recognizing the before mentioned concerns. Even emphasized that that is what they truly hope. Suggested to me with their message that I should play it down. That is exactly the yogi shit I wanted to avoid by choosing a retreat from this page.

Yet again they spam you constantly after the retreat. I have had 5 requests for reviews in 2 weeks, and I’ve sent 5 emails asking to be opted out. Which have been completely ignored. The world’s worst and most disrespectful spammers.

We looked into what happened right away. It turns out our automated system sent 2 review requests and completely missed your replies asking to stop. That’s entirely on us, and we’ve since shut those automated emails off completely.

I had two different "people" contact me…
I had two different "people" contact me at the same time. I tried to explain that I was talking to the other. I asked one if they were a bot, and they said "no". But after getting disconnected and reconnected, the same "real person" had no idea who I was literally 1 minute after re-establishing the connection. Seems like there are bots, which is totally cool, but don't lie about it. Also I ended up finding my own retreat without the help of your bots/persons.

Trusted and Vetted with all the Details! When we began our journey of looking for the perfect retreat we came across a scam which really shook our confidence in the process. After looking at reviews for Booking Retreats and having spent A LOT of time researching retreats through their website we could see the difference between a legitimate resource versus a scam. Details: from searchable descriptors that helped us find the type of retreat with the vibe we were looking for to details about accommodations, food, hosts/service providers, surrounding area, what is included...this website includes so many helpful details that we could really get a feel for the experience. We found that hosts that could provide a full program to look at was more helpful than the information in Retreat Experience, Summary, and What makes this Retreat Special (which seemed to say the same things but in different ways). Photos and videos were helpful to get a feeling about what the experience could be like as well as looking at reviews.
