Be.EV Arvostelua 

I was prepared to overlook a previous bad review I posted, but, true to form, this company has let me down again, big time! Today, after traveling 200 miles, we called into the charging station at Sanders Garden Centre at Highbridge, only to find that all of the chargers were not working, AGAIN! I pay a monthly subscription to this company to get cheaper charging rates, which I will now be cancelling and requesting a refund of monies paid! I did manage to get a charge at an instavolt station nearby, more expensive, but reliable and quick, unlike be.ev!

My local charging point over the last month every time I go to charge neither of them are working ,phone up and moan and they say a engineer will be along next week next week comes and they are still not working very frustrating!

tried using two chargers, one in blandford forum and one in poole. both failed to actually start charging and locked the cable in my car.
their support was unable to remotely unlock the cable, and advised i pull the emergency release in my car.
this is bad! really bad! you should never ever never have to do this, this is an EMERGENCY release for FIRES!
they use the same chargers as other companies like mfg, but mfg is actually competent enough to ensure their chargers function correctly.
i highly advise adding be ev to abrp's avoid list and use another vendor like mfg, who is not only more reliable, but also cheaper.
from what support said on the phone both times i called them to release my car, they appear to just be rebadging white-label products for a quick buck, and not to actually provide a real and good service. shocking stuff

Attempts with four different chargers at the Sanders Garden Centre, Highbridge failed. Tried the BE.ev rfid card, Octoverse, 2 different credit cards, Apple Pay - all failed to trigger a charge. Phoned the helpline which ultimately despite trying to reset the chargers, couldn’t help. I gave up and moved on to Ionity and had a successful charge there. A shame as I wanted to support the smaller companies.

Out of the 7 chargers I tried in the last 2 months, 1 worked. Absolutely appalling service, surprised they’re still in business. Dorchester area

Wasted half an hour trying to get a charge at Jones Lane Car park charger PA0021-1. Took £25 off me instantly through the app. Said it was starting a charge then few seconds later finished. On phone to Be EV for 25 minutes system just would not work. Told I’ll get my money back in two weeks!

Tried to charge at Sandbanks car park. Requires app. Tried to login but failed so tried resetting password which also failed. Just moved car to a non charger space. Completely pointless. All I wanted to do was pay for their service but they made it so hard.

Duke Of Gloucester, Crewe: £100 fine if you do not register your car at the travel lodge reception. ANPR cameras on site. Not remotely clear anywhere that this is what you have to do.

Nowhere does it state I have to register my car as a BE EV customer. The signage addresses the pub customers and the travel lodge customers but NOT those using the charging point and nowhere on BE EV’s signage does it tell you to register your stay.

Most expensive charge I have ever had and I would NOT recommend. I will not be charging here again or using any of this companies chargers ever again.

Sometimes it beggars belief how utterly useless some companies are. Today I tried charging my EV at the charge points in Broadwindsor, Dorset.

There are no instructions on the machines about how to pay or connect. I looked these chargers up on the Be.EV website and although they are listed there, there is no way to pay for it start charging from the website. All it offers is that you download and install their app. But when you open the app and look for the chargers the app knows nothing about them. The nearest of their chargers it states are 3 miles away in Beaminster.

It's companies like this that give EVs a bad name and add grist to the mill of those who argue that that they are too much hassle to bother with.

We have a Be.Ev charger on our site that has been out of order for 6 weeks. We have called the only number available on their website 6 times to report the issue, however we have just been told the number we need can't be given out. We are currently fielding their complaints as clients and guests are unable to charge their vehicles

Absolutely horrendous system. Payment does not work. Waste of time . Had a child in the car also. Get rid of be ev charging system

I have been to 4 different charges the first two “unavailable” I called them and was on the phone for 20 minutes just for them to say there is a technical issue and to go to another. I drove to another the screen actually worked on this one however in the app both free slots where said to be unavailable. This is the worst charging experience ever. Whoever works at the place make it better or work somewhere els. Because I am so done!

Price is good on the Mega subscription, but my word, 50-60% of the time there is a fault at the start of charging or during the charge. Such a waste of time. This isn't specific to one charger, it's across your network. Do better for your customers, please!!

I Often try to charge my EV vehicle at Adsa Hulme Manchester. They have six charging points which is always hit and miss. Sometimes you go there it can work ok. However sometimes you go there none of them are working correctly . The annoying thing is, it does not say its out of order, so you try another station at the same location and still have the same problem. On one occasion I tried 15 times and it failed to charge also i had £25 x 15 transactions pending with my account. Its a shame paying the subscription is a better deal financially if the charging points work correctly. I dread going to Be EV as there is no gaurantee it gonna work. I still Hope Be Ev get there act together and sort these problems out. I have complained to them several times but no response from them.

Went to charge my car in Manchester Asda. First two chargers simply didn’t work despite being green. The next one started but then gave up after c. 7% added. A stressful and dreadfully unreliable service. Certainly won’t be using them again.

Took 2 attempts to charge. 1st one just stopped after 10 mins. Tried again on the other connector A and it worked fine. Shame the app does not show the charge ot cost in real time it just stays in zero. I’ve used BE EV a few times at other locations and it always shows the charge and cost in the app in real time but. Of at this one (The Urmston’s pub)

Absoloute joke! Took me 8 times to get the charger working and its took £200 out of my bank account and still not returned 24 hours later! The last £25 worked but im still £175 down! Spoke to customer service an got no where with it! Literally been robbed. Avoid

II don’t normally bother writing reviews, but Be.ev genuinely deserves one. I’ve owned an EV for nearly two years and public charging has always been a bit of a nightmare, mainly because of the ridiculous prices some providers charge, so I usually avoided it where possible. Then I discovered Be.ev and it’s been a game changer. The £9.99 subscription is an absolute bargain I can get my car to around 80% for around £25, which would easily cost £60+ on many other public chargers. I’ve noticed they seem to have quite a few negative reviews, which honestly surprised me because my experience has been the complete opposite. Maybe I’ve just been lucky with the chargers I’ve used, but price-wise and reliability-wise it’s been one of the best public charging options I’ve come across. Even if you don’t use public chargers often, I’d still recommend signing up for the £9.99 just for a single charge and cancelling, because you’ll still save a decent amount.

Non transparent, mostly crappy charge rates! While I am generally happy with their parent company ‘Octopus Energy’. I think it is shocking or maybe the shape of things to come for Octopus! Ripping off with poor charge rates and non transparent charge rates!

Scammers. I charge my car from them regularly and last charge I went was last night on 12/02/26. No issue with charging. I go to the place called The Aviator in Stockport. The price was £0.39p/ kWh. The charge consumed by my car was 47.23 kWh on that day. Whenever I charge I take a picture at the end so I know how much I am getting charged. 47.23 kWh x £0.39p =£18.42. So the next day I am billed £27.82. I have emailed them they said. Our prices gone up. I have been charged correctly. But when I went there it’s shows me £0.39p/ kWh. If it shows me £0.59p/ kWh I would have not charge my car. They are saying it’s our fault our machine didn’t show the correct price. But That’s not my problem. When I charged it was showing £0.39p/ kWh. And I have prove. Now they are saying we can’t refund you. Because I have not used app or rfid card. That charger point was never asked me for app or rfid card. Price was simple £0.39p. Stop using these scammers. I am going to take them to court. In one night they might have scammed many people.
