Free sunglasses

There was a mistake with my order and i received prescription sunglasses rather than blue light glasses. I offered to return it so they could send the right order. But Ismael asked me to keep the sunglasses and that they would go ahead and send the correct order in a few days. I just received my order today and it's perfect.

Really poor customer service, incorrect lenses

Really poor customer service. My prescription was incorrectly filled and they're asking that I pay to go get the glasses checked by an optician, which is a ridiculous ask. I now can't get a response from them to extend the returns period due to this unreasonable request. Would not recommend in any way, shape or form.

I have been a loyal customer of BARNER Brand since 2022, and I must say, their glasses continue to exceed my expectations. From my very first purchase to date, every pair of glasses I've received has been nothing short of amazing.

Easy replacement process

I ordered eyeglasses which were smaller size than needed. I found on the website a button to request a return/replacement. The return process was fairly easy. They didn't have/produce the ordered model in a larger size and I needed to replace my model with another. The replacement was easy and ordered even a courier from them to return the item. I received the new model in less than 30 hours after I requested a replacement and there are more than 3000 km between me and Barcelona. I know how frustrating can be to try to return products to other companies and I do believe Barner has made this process easy, thus I am happy.

Excellent customer service

Excellent customer service (from "Rosa" mostly). Helped me when I got into a returns muddle. Note: returning things to Spain from the UK gets complicated because of post-brexit tariff complexities, but I'm not sure I can hold that against Barner.

Good for a while but ruined by poor build quality

I funded the Barber Kickstarter campaign. To begin with, the glasses seemed great. However after less than 2 years of light use and delicate care, the glasses are broken beyond repair. The lenses fall out of the frame as it's cracked. The hinges have disintegrated and no longer bend. Appalling build quality. You'll be happy for a few months then problems will arise.

Beware of import costs

Valley backpack arrived along with a bill from UPS for over £50. Trying to get in touch with Barner but absolute radio silence. I’ve read reviews here saying customer services is great, but with no phone, no live chat on their website, I’m relying on an email address and had no response. Maybe they care about bad reviews and this might prompt someone to engage with me.

Left Facebook messages, twitter messages, everything I can think of to get in touch short of swimming to Spain. Now it’s too late, UPS have taken it back and won’t attempt delivery again.

A shame, as I was genuinely excited to use the back pack.

Update: I was eventually contacted after about 48 hrs. I’m appreciative that they did get back in touch, and we came to a resolution, so I’ve changed my rating. But I still think 48 hrs is too long to wait for any sort of response. No phone line, no chat facility on the website. Only emails that they have to sort through one at a time. UPS kept trying to deliver the package each day and we were down to our last delivery before it would be sent back to Spain, at Barner’s expense.

In the end they refunded me for part of the import costs.

I don’t want to get all ‘do you know who I am’ but I’m sure the UK must make up a reasonable chunk of their clients, and I can’t be the only person to fall foul of this. They have pointed out that there is a comment in their FAQs that clients outside the EU might have to pay an import fee. But I feel it should be possible to put that message in the cart when the website detects a British delivery address.

It’s not nice for the first you hear of an extra 20% charge to be the delivery man demanding payment. So I would have liked to have been able to make an informed decision.

Always stylish and easy to get help

Fast shipping and very helpful and responsive customer service. I wanted to access the 2x1 lens offer after I made my first glasses purchase and Ismael was quick and made it very easy. Now I have two stylish prescription sunglasses that I was needing for some time!

The best daily use glasses I've ever used

I'm a brazilian customer and I wear Barner's glasses since 2020. Recently I needed some replacement parts for my Le Marais glass and they sent me very fast, and even helped with a taxes situation that ocurred here in my country. The product is very confortable to wear and I recomend to everybody.

Barner put the wrong prescription…

Barner put the wrong prescription strength lenses into my glasses. When contacting customer service, they didn’t believe me and wanted me to bring them to a local opticians and print out the strength check and email them the report. only after submitting this did they offer any sort of redress. They first offered to send the individual correct lenses to be put in myself. I had to ask for a full refund which was not offered. Terrible service, they had put in lenses that were stronger than the prescription given. My local optician spotted the discrepancy and said my eye sight was affected as a result.

The soft feel & texture of the frames is very nice!

I was previously a customer of Optical King but there frames are poor quality and customer services not good.
