Bargain Car Rentals Australia - Cairns Airport Arvostelua 

They keep trying to force you to take out the additional insurance in spite of telling him that i had taken the full insurance with Expedia. I was told that the Expedia insurance did not cover extra like tyre and windscreens which was not true.
The steering in the car tended to pull to the left without warning and when I reported this to the person that i returned the car to he was not concerned

the staff were friendly and helpful. long queue for checkin. Car was not really clean and still wet from carwash. We didn't mind- better to get away.

Enjoyed an upgraded vehicle when the smaller model ordered was not available.

Had to wait a long time at cairns airport, the car was also not what was promised, long queue during pick-up.

Swift efficient service both in the pick up and return. Excellent shuttle timing to and from the airport. Car was ideal for our needs and economical.

At the pick up and drop off site in Cairns staff were very good.
When trying to address a problem with the bonnet catch not working properly (noticed when we arrived at Mission Beach) the experience was not the best ie wasted the next day with 3 calls to the Hobart office trying to resolve the issue.
Finally after some hours the Insurance claims department arranged for a RACQ attendance to fix the issue.
The agent from claims department and the RACQ staff were excellent.
Suggest again that being able to contact the pick up depot direct rather than dealing with Hobart office could make issue resolution much quicker. A wasted day in terms of not being able to use the car until the issue was resolved - paying a day’s rental for no benefit was disappointing.

I will say their customer service is great, I believe my review was both complementary and offered some improvement that good company will follow that up. Thank you.

All went well. Picked up at Cairns airport. Took us to depot less than 10 minutes away. Check in was easy and very efficient. Car was in excellent condition and very clean. Happy customer!

Very happy with the entire experience when renting a car from bargain car rentals. Did not have to wait at the pick up point at the airport airport too long and the customer service at the office was excellent so all in all I would recommend bargain car rentals to any potential person wanting to rent a car in Cairns.

I have used Bargain Car Rentals many times. I’ve never encountered a problem. Staff are friendly and efficient.

The car was great, but I was misled into buying more insurance cover than I wanted. Document on the counter stated clearly that basic insurance cover had a maximum excess of $5500, but the Agent was adamant that I would be liable for anything up to the full value of the vehicle if I didn’t purchase the more expensive insurance option, which turned out not to be true. I felt obliged to buy the extra insurance when I would have been happy to accept the risk of up to $5500 excess.

First of all, we waited outside for almost thirty minutes for the transfer to arrive. We did call the number and left our information. However, there was no confirmation, which was not helpful. Upon the courtesy transfer arrival they did not assist with loading suitcases into the van. My husband had to help the poor elderly couple in front of us lift their suitcases into the vans. Then, we get to the counter and the lady behind the counter was not the most pleasant person. We purchased the insurance through expedia, and she told us that the already purchased insurance would not cover the car. After a little back and forth, I finally ended up purchasing their insurance for an extra 60USD. I still don't understand why expedia would offer insurance that they rental company would not honor. I do plan on contracting expedia once my holiday is over. Up until this lady, we have had the best customer service traveling through australia. Tone of voice really makes a huge difference as does facial expressions. The car was also dirty. Finger prints on the dash and door. We were just too tired to argue so we cleaned it. Next time I would chose another vendor.
