Absolute shambles of a company.
Kept changing our flights, at last minute to, the flight back got changed couple days before we were due to fly, we apparently were expected to land in UK a day before we departed Zanibar!!! And admin could not see this? We will never use Away Holidays again, they were blaming the air line (Kenya Airways) and like wise, we feel they do this because the flights are cheaper for them, no reimbursement to us even though we paid extra for decent timings because having children (even though the flights were stupid hours). Joe who i dealt with on the telephone had a little attitude on occasions & communication was appalling. My advice would be to stay clear of this company.

Reference your reply, the flight company also said it was down to your company changing the flights 🤷‍♀️ so whos telling the truth!!

Brooklyn was really good, made the booking process so easy and straightforward. He worked hard to find the deal that was suitable for all our requirements. Overall great experience and communication, he followed up regularly and promptly.

Very poor support from Away Holidays when things went wrong

We booked a package holiday to the Maldives through Away Holidays, including flights and an overwater pool villa. Unfortunately, when serious problems arose, the lack of support and responsibility from Away Holidays was extremely disappointing.

On arrival, the overwater pool villa we had booked was misleadingly described. It was not located out in the ocean as shown in promotional images, but instead on a side path with no sea access and clear signage stating no swimming in that area. This completely undermines the purpose of booking this type of villa.

The situation then became far worse when we discovered used female underwear with a sanitary pad and pubic hair left in the room, along with a strong unpleasant smell. This was a serious hygiene failure and extremely distressing.

We contacted Away Holidays during our stay, speaking to a representative (the hotel manager also spoke to them directly). We were told the issue would be followed up — however, we never received any further contact or assistance.

The following day (which was my partner’s birthday), we were forced to move rooms, but only to downgraded accommodation options. By this point, two days of a five-night holiday had been lost dealing with issues that should never have happened.

The hotel offered two additional nights as a gesture for the lost time. However, when we asked Away Holidays for help adjusting our return, we were told that changing our British Airways flight would cost around £2,900. We were also advised that a “cheaper option” would be to abandon the BA flight we had already paid for and instead book a new Emirates flight with a longer stopover — at our own expense.

This was not a voluntary change. The extra nights were offered because the holiday we paid for was not delivered properly. Asking customers to pay thousands of pounds to make use of compensation is unreasonable.

Most concerning was that Away Holidays refused to take responsibility, repeatedly stating there was nothing they could do and directing us back to the hotel to arrange compensation ourselves — despite this being a package holiday booked through them.

Instead of receiving support from our travel provider, we were left to manage a stressful situation ourselves while on holiday.

Given the cost of the trip and the special occasion we were celebrating, the lack of ownership and customer care from Away Holidays has been extremely disappointing. I would strongly advise anyone considering booking with them to think carefully about how issues may be handled if something goes wrong.

Amazing service provided by Brooklyn who arranged a split stay holiday for us in Dubai and the Maldives. All the booking arrangements and connecting flights were seamless and we had a wonderful time. I highly recommend Awayholidays and will definitely use them again.

Excellent service from Praveen, booking was quick and easy as Praveen was very helpful and professional, would not hesitate to recommend Away Holidays and Praveen to family and friends.

This was our first time booking with Away Holidays and we booked a holiday for 2 adults to go to Bali. We had a great experience dealing with Brooklyn our travel consultant . He been very helpful and informative from start to finish . Guess we will be going back to them for our next holiday :-)

He also was able to offer advise and tips regarding the hotel and area, great service form Rob

I recently booked our holiday for 8 adults to go to Dubai and had a great experience dealing with Praveen travel consultant .
He was and has been very helpful and informative from start to finish .
This is our 3 rd time booking with away holidays and dealing with Praveen who has always gave us an excellent first class service at all times .
I would highly recommend booking with away holidays for a hassle free service from start to finish.

Away Holidays was recommended to me by a friend who had used them previously.
I dealt with a gentleman called Rob who was most helpful and extremely knowledgeable, also very polite.
He answered my questions and suggested hotels.
From start to finish he was a star 👍

Booked a holiday to the JA Resort in Dubai for June 2026. Before I booked, I called and spoke to Ethan to find out if the all- inclusive package included the different restaurants. Ethan then sent me the details of the AI through email which was the full package. I then called and booked with Mason. A friend did then suggest that I double check as she had contacted other travel agents to find that their AI only included the buffet restaurants. I called and spoke to someone who was very short with me when I explained my situation! He put me through to Mason who told me the AI was basic and that I had booked with him and the fact that it was basic was in the terms and conditions. He was extremely rude to me. I was told the holiday was non refundable and it couldn’t be changed. I asked to be put through to complaints and he gave me 3 timescales of when they would get back to me - 15 mins, half an hour and an hour!! He did call later to tell me that the AI was not basic. However I received no apology. I will enjoy my holiday but will never book with Away Holidays again. I also relayed this story to a friend who was considering booking. A big customer service training course is required. Booking reference 79812
