Péssima experiência!
Alugamos um carro na estação de trem e, para retirá-lo e devolvê-lo, era necessário passar por uma ZTL (Zona de Tráfego Limitado). A empresa deveria ter registrado a placa do veículo junto às autoridades locais para evitar multas, mas isso não foi feito. Como resultado, já recebemos duas notificações por trafegar na área, algo que era completamente inevitável, já que o ponto de retirada e devolução ficava dentro da ZTL.
O atendimento também deixou muito a desejar. Os funcionários foram ríspidos, não prestaram suporte e não esclareceram nossas dúvidas. Em vez de facilitar a viagem, o aluguel só trouxe dor de cabeça e prejuízo.
Não recomendo essa empresa. Falta preparo, responsabilidade e respeito com o cliente.

lamentamos que sua experiência não tenha sido positiva, mas gostaríamos de esclarecer um ponto importante: a responsabilidade de verificar as regras de trânsito locais, incluindo o acesso à ZTL (Zona de Tráfego Limitado), é do condutor do veículo.
Nossa empresa não é responsável pelo registro da placa junto às autoridades locais, nem tem a facoltà de realizar esse procedimento em nome dos clientes, a menos que isso seja previsto contrattualmente — o que não ocorre em casos de retirada e devolução em áreas ZTL.
Quanto ao atendimento, lamentamos se não foi como esperado. Sua observação será condividida internamente para miglioramento do serviço.

Vente déguisée d une 2e assurance
Autovia florence aeroport nous a facturé sur place 144 euros d assurance en plus de l assurance de base prise en ligne, sans explication claire, et parlant de caution qui serait remboursée. Après la location de quelques jours, refus de l agence de nous rembourser. Méfiance et ne rien payer sur place
Plusieurs echanges sur le site customercare depuis 1 mois mais ils ne veulent rien entendre, pas de défaut d information selon eux et nous n avions même pas d exemplaire de l assurance rajoutée... Leur reponse toute faite sur trustpilot n a donc pas d utilité !

Terrible service
Very long check-in and 1 hour time for the check out. Nothing wrong with the single persons (sara and Samanta were kind and helpful, just embarassed as it was not her fault). This is the typical low cost car rental where they save money on staff (not enough people) and they try to charge you at check out for the lost Invisible scratch (this was not my case to be clear as the car was impeccable). I just say never use Autovia.

I received the car without the mandatory equipment
I received the car without the mandatory equipment (repair kit), unfortunately I did not check when I took over, I focused on the external damage to the car, which was very many and not all were recorded in the protocol. I was subsequently charged for the repair kit 160€ along with an administration fee of 80€. They paid no attention to my objections that the kit was not in the vehicle. I will really never use this rental company again.

Florence Airport office - aggressive sales tactics!
rented a vehicle from the Florence airport terminal, car was ok, speed of service not bad, however this company tried to hard sell us their insurance protection cover, and this was borderline aggressive and threatening behaviour on behalf of one of their male members of staff.
Be clear, this company does provide CDW and 3rd party cover as standard on all rentals - i checked their terms and conditions, yet the literature when you complete the paperwork fails to point this out clearly, the member of staff i mentioned repeated a number of times - are you sure you want to rent a car in Italy with NO protections. I had my own excess cover and explained this, yet they continued to insist that the vehicle would have NO cover if i did not take one of their protection plans. These protection plans are ONLY designed to provide cover for the excess and recovery costs in the event of breakdown or accident. You can obtain your own excess cover which is far more comprehensive than their own options for a fraction of the price in advance of the trip.
We stood our ground, however the intimidating behaviour of this member of staff was totally unacceptable and would no doubt bully other more susceptible customers into spending money they do not need to part with.
shame on you... will not be using this company again!! I thought these hard sale practices had stopped years ago. choose a more professional company!

1) Insurance coverage: our protection packages provide full coverage directly with us — this means in case of damage or theft, the customer pays nothing. In contrast, third-party excess insurance (like the one you mentioned) requires the customer to pay us first, then submit a reimbursement request to their insurer, which can be time-consuming and is not always guaranteed.
2) Explanation at the desk: our staff is required to inform customers of the difference between external and internal coverage to help avoid unpleasant surprises during or after the rental. The intent is not to pressure, but to ensure transparency and protection for our customers.
We’re sincerely sorry if the explanation felt insistent or uncomfortable. This is not the experience we want to deliver. Your feedback has been shared internally for review and improvement.

I am rarely moved to complain but feel compelled to do so in this instance.
We rented a small hatchback that was barely roadworthy. The engine kept cutting out and the engine barely had enough power to get us up hills.
It felt completely unsafe to drive (especially with 2 kids) yet the company refused to accept anything was wrong with the car.
On top of that they told us it took unleaded when it was actually party fuelled by compressed natural gas, which was difficult to find and caused us to panic about running out of fuel.
An awful experience that added unnecessary stress to our holiday

Upon checking your reservation, we confirm that you were assigned a new Seat Arona equipped with a Start-Stop system, which automatically turns off the engine when the vehicle is stationary to save fuel – this is not a malfunction.
We also note that this vehicle class, while suitable for small groups, may not be ideal for a family of four with heavy luggage due to its limited engine power. The choice of car category was made at the time of booking, and unfortunately we cannot be held responsible for its suitability to your specific needs.
Regarding the fuel, the vehicle is bi-fuel (unleaded and CNG), and this is clearly indicated both at pick-up and in the vehicle documentation.
For future trips, we’d be happy to welcome you again and hope you’ll give us another chance by choosing a slightly larger category that better suits your family’s needs.

Extreem lange wachttijd bij Firenze en weinig informatie.
Extreem lange wachttijd bij Firenze vliegveld. Medewerker had meer dan 1,5 uur nodig om 4 auto’s uit te geven. We kregen een heel andere auto dan gevraagd, wat helemaal geen probleem hoeft te zijn, als de medewerker ons had gewaarschuwd dat het om hybride auto met CNG ging. Allereerste hadden we niet door dat we bij ophalen twee tanks hadden moeten checken - achteraf bleek dat alleen benzine was vol, CNG was al op een kwart. En probeer maar dan uit te vinden in Italie waar en hoe CNG word getankt.. dat was een grote uitdaging. Ruitenwisser vloeistof was ook bij ophalen al op.. terug leveren was ook een drama- werd overal naartoe gestuurd om een mannetje in zwart t-shirt te zoeken in een enorme parkeerplaats. Terwijl alle andere bedrijven netjes een logo dragen en staan bij eigen kiosk auto’s op te wachten.

Ook de situatie bij het inleveren van de auto klinkt verwarrend en verre van klantvriendelijk — dit is zeker niet de service waar wij naar streven.

Worst Car Hire experience ever!!
They seem to have a well rehearsed plan of trying to sell their own insurance (I had insurance through Booking.com) then they keep your security deposit and make up damage after you have left.
You can’t contact seem to contact them- they didn’t reply to me. I emailed three times… no reply.
Check online reviews and you will see many others have the exact same experience. I won’t go anywhere near them… ever!!
I find it poor that a Booking.com allow them on their website. I have complained to them too.

Charged me extra and don't want to pay me back
I added a day to my car rental agreement. I arrived on check-out day to hand over the keys and pay for the extra day, but I didn't realize that my credit card would be charged that day. So I paid double for the extra day. I try to call them at least 10 times a day and no one answers, waiting for answers!
