Really disappointing experience. We had to drive around and wait for more than 40 minutes when returning the car because no Autovia staff were at their own office. Someone from another rental company eventually had to help us. On top of that, part of my deposit was taken without any notice or explanation. Very poor service and transparency. Would not recommend.

In Corea ci sono poche recensioni su Autovia e alcune erano piuttosto negative, quindi prima della prenotazione ero un po’ preoccupata. Tuttavia, la mia esperienza è stata molto positiva. In particolare, il personale del punto di ritiro presso l’aeroporto di Firenze è stato molto gentile e ha gestito tutte le procedure rapidamente. Grazie alla cortesia e al servizio efficiente, la mia prima esperienza di noleggio auto in Europa è stata davvero piacevole. Anche la riconsegna dell’auto si è svolta senza problemi. Grazie!

Super service bij de balie op de luchthaven in Florence en een top auto !!

Alquilamos un coche en el aeropuerto de Florencia.Te retienen 950€ de fianza. Le entregas el coche sin ningún rasguño y luego se sacan de la manga un parte. Te pasan la factura y o pagas o se llevan los 950€. No os lo recomiendo. Son estafadores.

Nous avons louer une voiture via ce loueur de véhicules.
Nous avons filmé intégralement l'auto à l'arrivée de notre voyage puis filmé à nouveau lors de la remise du véhicule pour bien montrer aucuns
impacts ou autre de notre part.
Quelques semaines plus tard, un prélèvement de 420€ déduit pour dommage sur le véhicule. Malgré les preuves par vidéo de notre bonne foi.
Nous avons demandé des preuves de ce fait ( dommages que nous avons soit disant causé sur le véhicule )que nous avons jamais reçues.

ACHTUNG ABZOCKE!

Ich habe das Auto am Flughafen Florenz zurück gebracht und unterschrieben ohne Schaden. Fünf Tage später kriege ich eine Mail mit einer Rechnung über 367 Euro von einem angeblichen Schaden am Reifen. Ich habe sogleich meinen Rechtsschutz kontaktiert welcher mir gesagt hat, dass ich einer von vielen bin welche aktuell solche Fälle melden. Die Autovermietung versucht im Nachhinein die Kunden abzuzocken!

Ich habe auf die Mail geantwortet, dass ich den Schaden weder begangen noch unterschrieben habe und ich ihn nicht bezahlen werde. Wenn sie darauf bestehen wird sich mein Rechtsschutz bei ihnen melden.
Auf diese Mail kam dann keine Antwort mehr von der Vermietung. Somit haben sie dieses mal keinen "dummen" Kunden abgezockt welche aus Angst die unrechtsmässige Rechnung bezahlt.

Kleiner Tipp von mir, macht am besten lieber 100 Fotos vom Auto anstelle von nur einem von jeder Seite. Die versuchen die Leute abzuzocken wo sie nur können.

In Zukunft werde ich nie mehr bei autovia ein Auto anmieten!

Florence Airport Rentals Desk - Long wsiting line due to inefficient and entitled service staff at the desk.
The 5 people queing in front of me with valid bookings were turned away for various ridiculous reasons.
The girl at the desk loudly complained in italian for everyone to hear that - she had to put up whith shitty clients - „ Clienti di Merda „ the whole morning-
Just unacceptable behaviour
Her colleague, in the meantime was having a rant at people queing due to their innefficiency and left the desk stating „ they can wait „

Our experience with Autovia in Florence was extremely disappointing.
When we arrived, there was an incredibly long queue caused by the company’s complete lack of flexibility in handling reservations. Many honest customers with valid bookings were unable to collect their cars and were left waiting without any meaningful solution or clear communication.
What was even more shocking was the attitude of one staff member. While customers were waiting quietly and patiently to the side, he came out of nowhere and spoke to them in a rude and disrespectful manner. Instead of helping his colleague process customers and reduce the waiting time, he simply said, “They can just wait.”
This kind of behavior was disrespectful, and shows a total lack of customer care. When a company is facing operational issues, customers expect empathy, communication, and a genuine effort to resolve the situation,not contempt.
I would strongly discourage anyone from renting from this location. If you value your time and want to start your trip without unnecessary stress, choose a company that treats its customers with the respect they deserve.

The man at the Florence AirPort Autovia counter was the nicest and kindest. I was struggling because another company cancel my reservation last minute and he helped me finding the perfect car for my and my husband. Thanks to him I could enjoy my trip to Italy!

Be very careful with this company and photograph every scratch (and I mean every single one, including the roof) on the car, because they will try to find even a minor ‘damage’ when you return the car and charge you for it.

PS (following Autovia’s reply) When I was returning the car, your worker aggressively questioned every single scratch on the car, even those which were on the pre-existing damage list. I was lucky that I photographed every inch of the sides of the car, so I managed to fight off most of it, otherwise the list of the damages would be a mile long. Unfortunately it didn’t occur to me to photograph the roof of the car. The scratch he finally found there was a superficial damage on the roof, which would normally occur on any car after 40000 km, simply from chippings or gravel on the road. I will never ever use your company again even if your prices will be half that of your competitors’. It simply isn’t worth the aggro.

We hebben onze auto via Sunny cars gehuurd, deze laatste stuurde ons door naar Autovia.
Omdat Sunny Cars de volledige dekking van de huurauto op zich neemt, konden we na onze huurperiode de auto na een kleine controle door Autovia achterlaten zonder een probleem.

​I am writing to share my disappointing experience with Autovia. When I picked up the car, the attendant offered additional insurance. Since I already had full coverage through Rentcars, I politely declined. The agent then informed me that any new scratches would cost 300 Euros, stating that the car was "new."
​However, the vehicle I received had 95,000 km on the odometer, was not clean, and had at least 15 pre-existing marks. Thankfully, I took detailed photos and videos of the entire car before driving away.
​Upon returning the vehicle, I was surprised when they claimed I damaged the windshield and attempted to charge me 944 Euros. I asked them to show me the initial check-in inspection to prove the damage wasn't there before, but they could not provide any photos. Fortunately, my own footage from the pickup day clearly shows that the scratch on the windshield was already there.
​I have reached out to Autovia's customer service to resolve this issue amicably, but my messages have been completely ignored. As a result, I have forwarded my evidence and filed a formal complaint with the ECC (European Consumer Centre).
​I highly recommend thoroughly documenting your vehicle with photos and videos if you use their services, though I personally suggest choosing a more transparent rental agency.

Do not use them if you're an American. They will not rent a car to you without an international permit and try to keep any deposit you have them to secure the car. Do yourself a favor and go next door to Sixt. They are nicer and will rent you a car
