Claim was resoved expeditiously with no hassle.

I usually buy the travel insurance and have never needed it. Don't let that make you think for one second that you won't need it. I have Medicare Part A&B. I chose to insure my cruise in March with Aon Affinity Travel. Thankfully I did. I ended up in ship's hospital the first day on the cruise. I had an asthma attack that aggravated itself into pneumonia. 5 nights in the hospital and subsequent services is extremely expensive. My bill was a WHOPPING $32,000. New to Medicare I was told that Plan A would not cover foreign travel but I had to submit the bill to them first. That did not take long - it was going to be a negative. Second, I sent all documentation to my Plan B company. It took over 5 months and a load of documentation to get a decision from them. They finally paid 80%. I submitted that finding to AON and within 2 weeks I had the last 20% in my hand. It was a lifesaver. I will never travel without Aon. (PSS - if you are on a ship, they will not let you get off until you have paid your final bill. If you do not have access to a large sum of money to be transferred to the shipping company or a credit card that has enough room on it to pay the bill, you are screwed.). Be smart, travel with AON.

I had some trouble using the on-line aspect of filing the claim, but after contacting customer service we were able to get the claim initiated. In our case we had to get a physician to fill out some paper work, which took about ten days start to finish, but after those two issues, the claim went smoothly and was paid off expeditiously.

I bought travel insurance since my mother was very sick and didn't know if we would have to cancel our trip. The first day on the cruise boat a crown on back tooth fell out and that was going to ruin my entire vacation. Royal Caribbean had a dentist on board and repaired it! By luck, I noticed that AON travel protection covered dentist work and wow, the process was very easy and they were great to work with! Covered the entire procedure! Thanks! I will always purchase travel insurance with AON and have already done so again for our upcoming vacation!

We were charged when we should not after I saw the ship doctor otherwise the painstaking process would have been avoided. Nevertheless we still got our money back after sometime and completing the required paperwork.

From start to finish the claim process was very simple, easy an quick. While I was very disappointed I was unable to go on my very first cruise with my family, I am very pleased I was able to get a refund so quickly.
