I bought a battery for my ThinkPad T450S on 25 March 2025. Just after 1 year, it does not work anymore. Moreover, it even does not work as expected in the first year. The quality is so awful. I cannot believe it.

Customer Services listened to my concerns and processed my request to cancel an order for a replacement laptop battery and refund the cost. This was done quickly and efficiently although an alternative suggestion to cancellation, a 5% discount, was offered before it was agreed to process my request.

AolsteCell Faulty battery and terrible customer service
As per other reviews I received a replacement battery from them, which had zero charge and would not charge. In other words it was faulty. I wrote to them and they wanted videos and I had to download a program on my computer from them. It was all too hard and they
wanted more videos. How can I send you a video (multiple videos) of a battery not working? Ridiculous. They wear you down and now I will put the battery in the bin and buy elsewhere. I recommend you do not do business with this company.
Update 23April 2026. After posting this review Lily contacted me to say your refund is being processed please send us a photo of the battery in your computer. After doing this now 5 times I took the laptop apart again and took another video and sent it to her. She also said now that you are getting a refund can you please remove your bad review. I thought no I will at least wait for my refund.
Then 10pm that night I get messages from AolsteCell on WhatsApp! Saying I am the manager and your refund is being processed please send another video of the battery. I said my computer is now ruined because of the number of times you have asked me to send videos and pictures. All the clips are now broken on the back cover of my laptop.
She insisted for more videos. I said no I have given you 6 different sets. She said you are not getting refund. I then said you are actually wearing customers down with asking multiple times for videos. I no longer care about my $60 refund, I can see I am never going to get it, but I will warn other customers of your fraudulent customer service.
So there is my experience and I hope it is helpful in your decision to whether to use this overseas company or not.

Yes likewise for the benefit of other customers, you did say to me several times you were processing my refund. Then in the next paragraph you would ask for more videos and photos. How can you say you are processing my refund, and then ask for more information?
Furthermore videos are very hard to send due to their “size”. Many email programs can only support a few seconds of video before they are too large to send. I had several “people” within your organisation ask for photos and videos. I actually had to pull the back off my laptop 6 times to support your need for more videos and photos. And as I said before my laptop is now ruined as the back with its clips cannot hold the case together anymore. The laptop cannot sustain multiple case tear downs.
If you want to sell your product from overseas into Australia I suggest you read and understand Australia consumer law. It is not reasonable to ask a consumer to send numerous videos and pictures in, or in fact ask them to download your battery program to interrogate customers computer.
I am really disappointed in your lack of service. I see you have finally returned my $57 as a result of my review. It’s a shame customers have to paste a negative review in order to get a refund rightfully back. However the refund does not cover the cost to repair my laptop now. I hope you understand my frustration experienced and can improve your customer service significantly.

However, for the sake of accuracy and fairness to other customers, we would like to clarify the facts of this case.
According to our return and warranty policy, when a customer reports that a battery is defective, we require clear photos and a short video showing the issue. This is part of our normal after-sales verification process and helps us confirm the problem quickly so we can provide the most suitable solution.
In your case, only photos were initially provided, but the required video was not submitted. After our manager contacted you directly, we again asked for a brief video so that your case could be given faster priority handling. Unfortunately, the requested video evidence was still not provided as required.
Even so, in order to resolve the matter, our manager still arranged a refund for you.
We would also like to clarify that requesting supporting photos or videos is not intended to make the process difficult for customers. It is a standard procedure used to verify product issues fairly and efficiently, and it applies to after-sales cases in general.
We always try our best to help customers with genuine product problems, but effective handling also depends on the necessary cooperation and evidence required under the after-sales process.
