Ankarsrum UK Arvostelua 

Bought this machine to replace an old Kenwood that was starting to overheat. I was initially looking at the Kitchen Aid however seeing the reviews I realised I would just be repeating the same issues and problems I had with Kenwood. Further investigations led me to the Ankarsrum and although a considered purchase I couldn’t be happier with it! I waited and used the machine for a month before writing this review and honestly I would buy this machine again!

I recently ordered an Ankarsrum Assistent Original directly from Juicers.co.uk (intermediary), expecting the high-quality, pristine experience that this brand is known for. Unfortunately, my experience was quite the opposite. Upon delivery, it was obvious that the box had been opened previously and resealed with standard tape over the original broken factory seals. Even worse, the dough hook inside was covered in flour residue and showed clear signs of previous use.

It is incredibly frustrating to pay a premium price for what is advertised as a new product, only to receive a second-hand return that hasn't even been properly cleaned or inspected. This suggests a serious lapse in quality control and warehouse standards. I have contacted their Juicers.co.uk customer service team to request an immediate replacement and hope they resolve this quickly, but I shouldn't have to deal with the hassle of returning a used item that never should have been sent out in the first place.

One star for the product which is great. It would be zero stars otherwise for the customer service, which is a classic Swedish thing: if they don't know or don't want to answer, they just ignore those pesky customer emails.

I had to purchase a new 'Assistent dough knife' which cost £23. The original thick metal attachment sheared in half... not something I would expect from Ankarsrum. I use the mixer a good deal and was slightly disappointed that the replacement part (ordered on a Friday morning at 11:45) was not shipped until the following Tuesday (though there was a bank holiday on the Monday). I did email them on the Friday afternoon asking when the item would be shipped - but never got a reply.

Tricky times to be ordering from EUROPE, however once imports had restarted a good device from our UK importer. I now have received the machine and after a few tricky moments trying to compare mixes with the old Kenwood Major Titanium, I am slowly tweaking things to be quite successful. The machine comes with an impressive array of attachments and accessories and I also purchased the De-Luxe accessory pack which is again very impressive. The mixer itself appears to be built to last and is quite quiet while operating. I seem to have to use both the dough hook and the roller in my mixes, swapping over halfway through. This is slightly time consuming but I am getting used to it.

A great accessory for an amazing machine.

Am absolutely delighted with the Ankarsrum Assistent Original. It is just the tool for the job for making bread and has more than met my expectations. Although the delivery date was not specific (delays had occurred due to the covid crisis), it did arrive fairly promptly. The instructions for using the machine are somewhat brief, but to be perfectly honest, the machine itself is quite straightforward to operate and can be used as required. Have not had the opportunity to use the whisk and beater attachments as yet, but the dough kneading tools and system is second to none. The brilliant set up of side-scraper together with either the dough hook or roller and the rotating bowl, is extremely effective, rendering the whole process of kneading the dough an absolute doddle!! A definite must-have for any enthusiastic home bread maker.

Having had a KitchenAid this mixer is totally in a class of its own.

You delivered the wrong items, we recieved two lasagna rollers and two grain mills instead of one and the deluxe accessories are missing!!!! I’m feeling terrible after waiting for MORE THAN TWO MONTHS over the expected delivery date, not only to recieve the wrong items. I was recommended to buy your products because of my friend even though i had to pay over 200£ Since i had it shipped from the UK to kuwait! Its very disappointing. I would like to return one of the grain mill and lasagna roller and recieve my deluxe accessories PLEASE since i already paid for it.

For the stand mixer, I give you five stars but
for the blender four stars.
I was making Tahini in the blender but it
was just turning without processing.

bought from Pure Cooking in Fulham. Delighted with the sales people who seem courteous and friendly.I have not unpacked the machine but I am optimistic it will improve my bread making when I start using it.

I appreciate Brexit and Covid delays were inevitable, but 8 weeks to deliver without a single update (the website had very general updates) is very frustrating. It's arrived now, but it's impossible to register the warranty online. Have emailed and received a response but still no resolution. All in all a bit frustrating for such a quality brand.

This is our 3rd Ankarsrum mixer. They’re all still working perfectly. Superb quality and really good after care too.

I love this mixer, makes baking so much easier and fun!

While I understand the delay way out of the hands of the distributor due to covid and Brexit. A bit more communication would have been nice to stay updated rather than having to do all the chasing myself
