I ordered an iPhone 17

I ordered an iPhone 17, paid full price, and Amazon.ae delivered… a bottle of shampoo.
This is not a “small mistake” — this is unacceptable and borderline scam behavior.

What makes it even worse is the complete silence from customer service. No reply. No support. No solution. Nothing.

I trusted Amazon.ae with a high-value order, and this is the level of service I received? A flagship phone replaced with a random cheap item and zero follow-up?

This experience destroyed my confidence in the platform. I’m still waiting for a real response and a proper resolution.

My recent experience with Amazon has been extremely disappointing. Multiple orders were cancelled even after the payment was deducted from my account. Now I’ve been asked to verify my identity, and both the refunds and verification are expected to take several days. When I contacted customer service for help, they simply told me to order using another account. I explained that this is my only account, yet they still insisted I create a new one. This is very frustrating and not what I expect from Amazon. They really need to fix this issue.

Amazon product made the laptop burn. After 2 months there is no resolution

I'm without laptop for 2 months because an item bought at Amazon damaged the laptop.
The item is a laptop palmrest without the proper insulation. After installing it, the laptop motherboard burnt.

Amazon don't reply to my emails and, when I call, the call center team doesn't know what is happening. They can only say that the Claims team and Legal department cannot be contacted.
How a company as Amazon doesn't allow another department to call the customers???
And then they have a team that doesn't know anything about legal to pick up the phone?

Furthermore, I was not contacted by Amazon but then I received an email from an insurance company with my information asking for a Passport and ID copy. Do you really expect to someone send information to a company he doesn't know with official documents?
Why don't your legal department contact the customers and take care of the situation themselves?

0-Star Review: 11.11 Sale Feels Like a Scam – Worst Experience Ever

I had a terrible experience with Amazon during the 11.11 sale. Honestly, it feels like a complete scam. I placed three orders, waited one full week, and then two of them were canceled on the exact day they were supposed to be delivered. No explanation, no proper update—just canceled after wasting my time.

The only order that did arrive was old stock in a very pathetic condition, definitely not what was advertised.

To make things worse, On top of that, the customer service was a complete disappointment. They don’t value customers’ money or time. It feels like the customer service team is trained only to say “sorry,” not to actually solve the issue. They kept giving me wrong information, told me to “just reorder,” and even disconnected the call and chat while I was still talking, without resolving anything. No call back, no follow-up, nothing.

This has been one of the worst shopping experiences I’ve ever had. If this is how Amazon handles major sales, I’m seriously reconsidering shopping here again.

Terrible delivery & service

Terrible delivery. Their shipping and delivery team treat parcels with complete disregard of keeping them safe or in a proper condition. 90% of my orders arrive broken, spilled, or opened.

As for their customer obsession motto and transparency, that only applies if you don't badly review their service. As long as you don't comment on their bad service or delivery, they allow your reviews to be posted.

Scamazon should be their new brand name...

Terrible refund experience — avoid Amazon UAE if you’re not a UAE resident

Shopping on Amazon.ae has been the worst online experience I’ve ever had. If you pay using an international card or bank account, don’t expect your refund back. When I requested mine, Amazon UAE refused to return it to my original payment method. Instead, they forced me to accept store credit or open a UAE bank account — which is nearly impossible for non-residents.

This is completely unreasonable and feels like a refund trap. I was left with my money locked in Amazon’s wallet, unable to use it outside the UAE. It’s unfair, unprofessional, and totally unlike the global Amazon experience.

If you’re outside the UAE or just visiting, stay away from Amazon.ae. Their refund process is broken, and customer service offers no real help.

Pathetic Service, False Promises & Complete Disappointment!

I have never experienced such pathetic and unprofessional service from Amazon before. This entire experience with ordering the Xiaomi TV Box has been a nightmare — full of false promises, cancellations, lies, and zero accountability.

First Order:
My very first order was cancelled without any specific reason. No explanation, no apology — just cancelled. Extremely disappointing start.

Second Order:
When I reordered, the tracking showed delivered, but I never received the product! I spent hours on calls explaining everything in detail. I even told them how I had promised someone this gift, but because of Amazon’s complete mismanagement, I had to break my promise.
They then assured me a refund of AED 200 within 2–3 hours and promised that if I reordered, it would be delivered the very next day.

Guess what?
The refund never came until I followed up repeatedly. No one bothered to proactively resolve it.

Third Order:
When I placed the order for the third time, the price had suddenly increased, and on top of that, they said “we cannot deliver it on the same day.”
Even after getting written confirmation from agents that if I ordered again it would arrive within a day — they completely went back on their word!

It is clear that Amazon prioritized new customers over existing loyal ones. The same product’s price was increased overnight, and the “same-day delivery” option was removed just to favor new buyers. Absolutely unacceptable!

Throughout this entire mess, not a single agent took genuine responsibility. Nobody tried to understand the emotional side of the customer. All they did was repeat scripted lines, offer refunds, and move on — no empathy, no ownership, no solution.

This is not the Amazon standard we expect. I demand that this case be reviewed urgently and that Amazon take immediate corrective action. I lost time, money, trust, and patience — all because of incompetent service and false promises.

Extremely disappointed and frustrated. Amazon.ae must do better.

Amazon UAE customer support is getting…

Amazon UAE customer support is getting worse day by day. I first contacted them, and the initial representative assured me that everything was fine and the delivery would arrive on time. Then another person, who claimed to be a manager and said he would continue the support chat, told me the opposite , that it wasn’t possible and he couldn’t help. Right after that, he simply ended the chat and disappeared.

This was one of the worst experiences I have had with Amazon, please review as I feel I was treated with no understanding or empathy for the situation and my ask was for order to be fulfilled or an alternative supplier fulfill the same order. I spent two hours re explaining myself time and time again. No explanation, no commitment to resolve.

Do Not Trust Their Refund and Minutes

I recently tried the new Amazon Minutes Now service on Amazon AE, and it has been nothing short of a disaster.

The items I ordered weren’t available, yet Amazon still accepted my payment. Naturally, I expected a quick refund – but it’s been over a month and I still haven’t received it. Every time I follow up, I get the same scripted response: “We’ll update you by email.” But unless I chase them, no one bothers to follow up. Zero accountability.

It may not be a huge amount of money, but it’s the principle. The system is broken, and Amazon AE’s customer service is absolutely useless. Incompetent responses, no resolution, and complete silence unless I initiate contact.

Extremely disappointed. If this is how Amazon plans to run "Minutes Now", I won’t be using it again – and I’ll think twice before trusting Amazon AE at all.

Prepaid return pick up service is not available

"Prepaid return pick up service is not available for this order. Please arrange return of the item to the provided address via any courier"!??!

Return policy of some sellers was a surprise for me. Even if it's written 15 days returnable under the item, you need to dig deaper, read return policy of each seller!!! Which is confusing and such a waste of time!

At first I asked the seller "JetSouq" questions in Q&A about the product, nobody replied to me in a week and was not going to.

But I took a risk and ordered that vacuum filter kit, because I couldn't find it anywhere else.
The filter didn't fit to my model of the vacuum.

I requested a return and nightmare started.

The seller kept sending the same robotic replies requesting me to send it back to Sharjah by myself! Informing that it was sold directly by brand (though Bissell has an office in Dubai!).

Amazon customer service seemed helpful at first but then I understood they care only how many stars you give them for their services!!

So they provide any pleasant information which can be absolute lie!

Every agent provided different information. I was going round and round without ZERO RESULT for 5 days!

Several agents asked me to wait for a delivery pick up from the seller who "agreed to send someone"!

And the seller at the end of the day kept sending the same messages that he's not going to send anyone!

Finally after 4 days of nonsense conversations I requested a refund and agent Priyanka confirmed "Success. The refund will be issued within 2-24 hours!"

After that I received an email from Amazon that due to the policy of seller I should return an item to Sharjah before receiving a refund!?!!

Another agent Pawarr promised me that the refund is already in process and we just need to ignore that message and no need to return the item!

Another day after 24h I wrote to customer service and they informed me that they need 5 more days to review my case!!!??

And they sent some additional questions to my email which I didn't receive!! And only after that they'll start reviewing my case!!??

It looked like I'm a criminal in the court!

Supervisor Dhare (Hemant) sounds like a robot, he didn't read previous messages attentively, didn't read my questions and started to argue with me telling me that I am confused!??!

I explained that I didn't receive any questions from Amazon and he replied check your messages and respond ASAP.

After all he proposed me to return the item by myself AGAIN and "postage charges will be refunded back to you"!?!!

As usual I refused to do that and he wrote me that he contacted the seller and they agreed to arrange a pick up collection!!?? (the seller wasn't).

We returned to the start of the nightmare with a supervisor!

Only after several conversations with different agents I was able to be connected with a manager Nitin who requested an immediate refund which I received on Amazon Gift card in several minutes!

Customer service is so unhelpful, dishonest, incompetent smatters.

It should be written clear under the item where it's mentioned "15 days returnable", also "Prepaid return pick up service is not available!"
