I shop at Aldi in Bayside and the experience has seriously deteriorated over the past few years. The shop looks like it needs a bit of TLC, doors are missing from a number of fridges, and I don't think the floor is ever cleaned. Their outside area including return bank and trolley bays are always full of litter. The staff work extremely hard, just don't think there is enough of them in one of the busiest stores in Ireland.

Went to Aldi in River Valley today. I had only 2 items so l went to the express check out . 6 machines in total and 5 were card only ,1 for cash,which was in use.I asked the assistant why they had changed from 3 to 1. Her reply was they didn't always have cash
to put in and they break down.
To make matter worse the other machines were free but I had to wait for the person in front of me ,who had a full trolly. When they finished they paid by card. I pointed this out to the assistant, who informed me that the only CASH machine ,takes cards as well. With that kind of service are the providing for cash customers?? NONE.

Bought garden lights in Terenure branch on 8th April. Didnt work. Manager would not believe we bought there. In fact said they were not theirs.ARROGANT and ARGUMENTATIVE. Although showed him receipt. Very embarrassing in shop. Needs a customer relationship course.

i walked into aldi sallynoggin to use the toilet facilities but after my shit there was no tissue and when i asked an employee to fetch me some they said 'fluff off smelly arse' which i was shocked at and had to walk home without wiping

I am sick of going into Aldi in Dublin when there is one price on the signs and getting charged another at the till

Today Aldi are saying fire extinguishers are 9.99 when at the till I was charged 12.99

What is the consumers body doing? NOTHING

I had a full trolly shop, on my week day evening shop. No manned cashier service desks open. Only one staff member present who was cleaning. I asked if he would open a cashier desk but advised me to use the self service check out. I felt this was unreasonable with the amount of shopping I had. When I ran out of space to place my scanned shopping, I asked the same staff member for help. He then advised I should have went to a manned cashier desk. I reminded him he advised I use the self check out. He then said cashier desk No. 1 is now open for customers but it was clearly too late for me. He then walked away leaving me with my scanned shop over flowing on the self check out counter. No assistance provided and he embarrassed me by saying I should have used a cashier desk instead. Anyway, when I inserted my cash, a message immediately appeared on screen to request an attendant for assistance. When a female assistant arrived she asked what was the issue. I said I inserted cash and no change dispensed. She questioned me if I was sure no change dispensed. Again, this was in front of a queue that started to build up behind me. I asked if she didn't believe me. She didn't respond. Anyway she tapped the screen and my change then dispensed. The whole experience this evening was stressful, condescending and embarrassing. I dont normally write reviews but I also work in a customer facing role and feel the behaviour and experience I had in Alde (Kells) should be called out. I had to give one star to write this review but to be honest one star is too generous.

Just shopped in Aldi Rhebogue Limerick near parkway shopping centre,
The girl with long blonde hair and big eye lashes served me.No manners whatsoever , no hello or goodbye, just stated the cost,, took money and that was it😡Customer Service was brutal

I have bought rotten meat and rotten vegetables in Aldi In Rivervalley swords i bought a piece beef it was gone off 12 days and countless gone off chickens as for vegetables the onions rotten potatoes rotten strawberries with mould and tomatoes the same 🤬

Aldi have blue toilet blocks you can buy, they are far better than the brightly coloured blue power active flower thing I saw in other shops, that looked great but served no purpose. It didn’t clean and it didn’t smell nice, it was expensive and useless. You can’t beat Aldi Toilet blocks blue, lovely smell lovely clean toilet and lovely blue water. The blue blocks are the best don’t let a brightly coloured pack trick you into buying something that just doesn’t work.

Having had to use self service i was disgusted in the help I recieved.
If I wanted a job on a till I would apply.
Having asked for help was told what to do with no assistance to which I tried to do said task with no end result.
Had to put red light on then to which assistant arrived took light off for alcohol then assisted to get problem item through .
Had a quick grunt then told me again how I should have proceeded with purchase.
So so rude

I got a coffee in Aldi in Navan today from machine. There was no milk. A young girl asked her manager for me if she could get me a carton of milk. He said No. I went to fridge section to buy the milk. Only to find the manager slagging me off for asking for milk.
I asked him if he was the manager and he said "yes". I told him I was the lady looking for milk. He told me the machine didn't provide it! I told him the garage has the same machines and they provide milk on the side. He told me that wasn't his job and his machine doesnt provide it so there! I told him he was arrogant.
Imagine, this day and age providing a coffee machine with sugars, stir sticks but no milk!

Aldi Ballina Co Mayo very very disappointing compared to Lidl. Who wants to shop where they don't sell your favourite news paper, in fact, NO PAPERS AT ALL. Wake up Aldi.

Used the bathroom in aldi in trim this evening the 13 dec and it was very dirty, no paper, soap dispenser not working, toilet lid had poop on it, wash basin really dirty, dirty floor , lot of build up of dirt and dust. This bathroom has not been cleaned properly in a long time , it was really disgusting

I purchased a dual air fryer in 04/03/2025 and in Aug 2025 I had to contact Aldi as it wasn't working properly. They put me in contact with the warranty company who is based in England and after following all instructions by both companies, I still don't have a refund and it's been 108 days and counting. The warranty company are no longer answering my emails and Aldi keep telling me the warranty company says they are going to contact me!!!...

Very nice cashier today around 2.30pm. I was in a hurry with a big trolley, I had to quickly get back to the office and the older woman in front of me had a big shop, so I asked if they could open another till. The guy by the self serve just asked that I come over to self serve!!! I politely asked if he'd seen the amount of stuff in the trolley. The girl at the till promptly got up and very nicely asked the older lady if she wouldn't mind letting me go ahead of her. Naturally I said No, but the lady had no issue and so I was able to go ahead. Very nice gesture by both the cashier and customer.

I purchased Aldi Special Buys 12 Pork Sausages and 12 Irish Back Bacon Rashers.
The pork sausages are Use By the 19th of Nov. Cooked them this morning the 18th, sour and off, tasted absolutely disgusting.
The Bacon I opened and the same this morning, nearly vomited with the smell. Looked at the back on the packet, Use By the 10th of Nov. Admittedly I didn't check the dates when I bought them on Sunday last, the 16th of Nov, so they were already 6 days out of date. Unbelievable. You dont expect mean of all things to be out of date.
I don't buy much meat in Aldi, and I certainly never will be buying meat in it again. This is the 2nd time this year I have purchased off meat from Aldi.
In March I purchased a pack of 4 lamb chops, the 2 on top appeared fine and the 2 underneath, both a green purple hue off them and a stench when I opened the packet was awfull. I was able to return to the shop in time and a refund was issued, this time unfortunately I wont be able to return in time.
Never buying meat from Aldi again. Rotten!! and the advice of 'return to the shop in person' as the only way of getting customer support is a joke! at least give people an option to contact you by email and submit a photo as evidence.
I'm only writing here because I cant email them and I just cant be arsed making the journey to the supermarket to return their sub-standard out of date food, AGAIN!! Have photos of packets with dates to back up experience.

Aldi seems to have forgotten all supermarket's started out as convenience stores!! For our convenience not yours. Self checkout is clearly not working as the reviews prove. They don't even deduct % from discounted items and you have to wait for a staff member to sort it out. When he did it he put 50% ON the item and I had to call him back again. Meanwhile he's helping someone offload a cart at the self checkout because they won't open a lane. Been going to this shop since the day it opened. Not any more . I'm going to tesco.

Romanian begging outside navan store is really off putting and abusive towards customers that don't give him what he wants. Gonna start shopping elce were.

Stores are well laid out,but the use by dates are too short eg i bought some pate on thursday 13/11 thinking that will be nice for saturday 15/11 lunch went to open it use by 14/11 friday

Shocking experience, shelves not stocked and no customer service person at till only at self service, I ended up leaving full trolley there and walking out, terrible place
