Alamo Rent A Car Arvostelua 

E’ la prima volta che uso Alamo per affittare un’auto e la mia esperienza è stata positiva;prelevata auto aereoporto di Tirana per andare in Montenegro per 9 giorni, prenoto un suv poiché eravamo i 4, la macchina era comoda e spaziosa, la consegna è stata veloce, solo controllo del pieno e lo stato dell’auto.

Cuidado!!! Son unos estafadores. En nuestro caso han aprovechado la simple notificación de una tasa de aparcamiento en el Aeropuerto de Manchester para cobrarnos 35 libras "por la cara" con la excusa de la gestión de las sanciones de tráfico. Por más que les hemos explicado que no se trata de una multa, sino de la tasa normal de aparcamiento, no ha habido forma. Nos han cargado las 35 libras en nuestra tarjeta.

Alquilé un vehículo en semana santa pagando rigurosamente un importe superior al estipulado por la fianza que nos pedían sin previo aviso… lo mejor de todo, es que a la semana de devolver por parte de Alamo el dinero de la fianza, la sorpresa es que han devuelto un importe que no corresponde con el pagado (mucho menos) alegando un error del sistema y aún estoy esperando que me den una solución. Después de haber llamado más de 4 ocasiones sigo sin tener mi dinero y una respuesta a mi reclamación. Me parece lamentable y de muy mal gusto tratar así a la gente y el servicio postventa ofrecido. Sin duda alguna no voy a alquilar nunca más un vehículo a esta empresa y lo voy a desaconsejar en todos los medios que pueda. Me veo obligado a dar 1 estrella pero no se merecen nada. Horrible y lamentable. Seguiré llamando hasta que me devuelvan mi dinero, no es mi culpa que su sistema no funcione!!!

I rented a car from Alamo Rent a Car at Dubai International Airport (Terminal 1) from March 22nd to April 2nd, 2025, through the Decolar app. The rental was prepaid in full, and when we picked up the car, Alamo charged a security deposit of US$905,01 on my Mastercard Black credit card.

We returned the car on time, clean, and with a full tank of gas. The vehicle passed the inspection without any issues. However, a few days later, on April 6th, an additional charge of R$ 2,316 (Brazilian reais) appeared on my credit card, without any explanation, email, or receipt from Alamo. On top of that, the US$905,01 deposit has not been refunded or released yet.

This is completely unacceptable. I am now trying to resolve the issue through my bank and Decolar, but I expected more transparency and professionalism from Alamo.

I do not recommend this company for international travelers. I hope this situation is resolved soon, and I will update my review accordingly.

Voila 2 fois de suite une mauvaise aventure avec Alamo. la prmeière fois la voiture dema,dée ne correspondait pas à celle mise à notre disposition. Alamo nous a offert un voucher mais ca ne solutionnait pas notre problème. n'auraient il pas pu nous prévenir quelques jours avant?
La deuxième fois était avant hier. Nous devions prendre une voiture à Placensia à 18H. Nous nous sommes arrêter avant sur un parking avant d'aller au RDV, nous nous sommes fait voler nos baggages avec le bon de réservation de la voiture et autres documents. j'ai du annuler la prise de la voiture. Après la déclaration faite à la Guarda Civil, j'ai demandé a Alamo de faire un geste et rien n'a été fait. J'ai été débité totalement sans prendre compte de la force majeure.

You should take care about the comunication with the guests, when I booked with entrerpryse Rent a car, fortunately I needed to call you, then I knew you close on saturday, otherwise, when i arrived i will not have the keys, as you told me it was the other enterprise fault but in this case you should end your cooperation or do something because it will be a bad experience for the guests

Warning - they have charged me 1700 EUR for a long surface scratch (which can probably be polished away) despite it was noted in the agreement that the car was picked up on a rainy dark parking lot where it was not possible to check the car for potential damages. Can not get in contact with them by chat, phone or mail to complain.

El pasado día 02/02/2025, alquile con esta empresa en A Coruña, en el momento de recibir el vehículo se nos ofreció la posibilidad de ampliar las coberturas, cosa que no considere oportuno, por el tipo de viaje, nos mostraron el coche por el exterior nunca el interior salvo la puerta del conductor, para mostrarnos el nivel de combustible y los kms, que tenía hay se acaba la presentación del vehículo, el mal sueño empieza el martes 06/02/2025 a las 20.30 aproximadamente, al devolver el coche nos recibió Álvaro, recordar bien el nombre, al dirigirse al coche se dirigió a la puerta trasera izda, y ojo a la frase "aquí huele fuerte no"? Como a lejía, no entendí la pregunta y le dije a que quieres referirte? Y me contesta el coche está manchado y huele a lejía, se ve que no hace muchas coladas puesto que la lejía mancha la ropa, nos acuso de ensuciar el coche e intentar disimularlo, cosa que es totalmente falso, entablamos una acalorada discusión y incluso solicite la presencia de la Guardia Civil, nos han robado la fianza además de 50 euros por gastos de gestión no sé en qué concepto, el coche lo devolvimos tal cual lo recogimos el día 02/02/2025, y tras varias llamadas nos siguen acusando de los hechos, con lo cual OJO AL ALQUILAR CON ESTA EMPRESA. NOS HAN ESTAFADO POR QUE ASI NOS SENTIMOS... Hemos hablado con atención al cliente a través de un chat ya que la empresa es americana y en un principio nos dijeron que solicitaban la devolución, pero nada más alejado, nos han cobrado...

Uns wurde in San Francisco einfach das Auto storniert, obwohl bereits bezahlt! Schöne Bescherung nach 11 Std. Flug. Uns wurde keine andere Wahl gelassen, als vor Ort nochmals (und zu deutlich höheren Konditionen) zu buchen. Mit der Beteuerung, dass sich hinterher über den Kundenservice sicher alles regeln lässt.
Dieser ignoriert jedoch jegliche Anfragen, auch die des Anwalts. Die Rechtslage ist aufgrund des Gerichtsstands außerhalb von Deutschland schwierig, daher stehen weitergehende anwaltliche Aktivitäten leider in keinem guten Verhältnis zum Streitwert. Das weiss Alamo natürlich und sitzt es einfach aus.
So bleiben wir auf ca. 600 € sitzen.
Wenn euch euer Geld lieb ist, bucht bei einem seriösen Autoverleih!

Terrible place don't lose your money.
Had prepaid and lost all my money as the lady claiming to be the boss (refused to tell her name which is sick). Just said the credit card should match driver's licence country and asked my children and I to leave. Wtf today with amex, revolut etc it's impossible and no other car rental agency has ever humiliated my children and I like this. Alamo Sants lady did ruin our day but other rental agencies came to support and vacation continued.

In data 6 dicembre noleggio da Alamo all'aereoporto di Basilea auto danno le chiavi senza venire a controllare rivado al bancone dove fanno firmare e riferisco che l'auto ha dei danni graffi vari mi dicono di non preoccuparmi io comunque faccio foto e video riconsegno l'auto il 9 dicembre e chi do ch ni venga dato il foglio di rilascio per verificare che sia tutto ok ma loro dicono che è prassi mandarlo via mail. Alla fine si sono presi circa 700 euro dalla carta per danni già esistenti gli ho scritto mandato mail con allegato le foto ma niente non rispondono

Me estafaron , renté un carro con RENTI GARZ para ser entregado en DFW ÁLAMO , al llegar Zno hay carro , a la fecha no han devuelto lo cobrado en la tarjeta .

Rented a suv from Alamo at Seattle airport have hired from them every time I visit the USA 8th time I have always found the employees friendly the cars of a high standard and always got the car or SUV I wanted the rates are pretty reasonable all I can say is keep up the good work

Unfassbar schlechte Erfahrung – NIE WIEDER!
In Frechheit nicht zu überbieten!!!! Aufgrund einer Flugverspätung konnte ich nicht rechtzeitig am Alamo-Schalter in Zürich sein, um mein bereits reserviertes und im Voraus bezahltes Auto abzuholen. Was macht Alamo? Sie vermieten mein Fahrzeug einfach weiter! Kein Anruf, keine Lösung, nichts.

Am Schalter wurde mir dann nur angeboten, ein Fahrzeug in einer höheren Klasse zu nehmen – selbstverständlich zu einem höheren Preis. Es blieb mir keine Wahl, denn ich brauchte das Auto. Mir wurde versprochen, dass man sich um meinen Fall kümmern würde, aber bis heute (!!!) habe ich nichts mehr von Alamo gehört.

Das ist schlichtweg Betrug! Wie kann man ein bereits bezahltes Fahrzeug einfach weitervermieten? Kundenservice? Fehlanzeige! Ich bin absolut enttäuscht und werde diesen Anbieter nie wieder nutzen.

Alamo è un'agenzia che applica un sistema del tutto privo di trasparenza e correttezza. Il suo modo di agire è a dir poco ambiguo.
Ho noleggiato auto ovunque nel mondo con tante agenzie, ma quanto accaduto a Copenaghen va davvero oltre ogni limite. Senza giri di parole inventa danni per arrotondare i profitti. Noi italiani abbiamo la nomea, ma da quelle parti fanno i fatti. Pessima esperienza con i danesi, assolutamente negativa da non ripetere MAI PIÙ! Non è tutto oro quel che luccica!!!

Dejen la estafa y devuelvame mi plata que me quieren cobrar reparaciones no se de qué cosa. Había echo una reserva para 2 días y tenía que pagar 62 dólares y al final quede pagando 93 por unos seguros adicionales y fuera de eso el día que me entregaron el vehículo estaba lloviendo fuerte y grabé un vídeo, solo use el vehículo por 30 horas más o menos, viaje a Arraiján, lo estacione y luego lo volví a usar para entregarlo y cuando fui a entregarlo obviamente como estaba seco y había un foco iluminadolo se veían unos arañazos que el día que Me lo dieron no se veía porque estaba oscuro y el carro estaba totalmente mojado y ahora me quieren venir a cobrar eso a mí, ni sean tan estafadores, pago seguro de más por su acaso y tras eso me quieren cobrar a mi algo que seguramente ya estaba allí y el día que fui si le dije a la persona que me lo entrego que veía varios rayones al vehículo pero obviamente por la lluvia no los note todo y porque estaba oscuro, no sean tan estafadores.

Alamo had subcontracted the service to local agent at Catania Airport, Sicily. If I had know this I would have not even bothered using Alamo, as I was paying a premium to hire from a well branded name. The sub contracted firm Locautorent staff who processed my booking had charged me for a service I had not requested. Just asked me to sign a blank screen to complete booking before being able to collect car. I only realised I had been charged when returning the car, when the staff showed me what my total charge was. Obvious the staff at Locautorent are commission based and are being devious in charging customers without them knowing. Alamo should stop subcontracting to such companies. Just damages their brand.
