Awful experience
Awful experience - £299 for a watch it arrived quickly.
Popped open the box and the watch was thrown in, not displayed or fastened around the packaging designed to hold it. Comes without a battery in it or in the box for it, what am I supposed to do? Go to a jewellery store now and pay to have a battery fitted WTF. No instruction manual on how to operate the watch either.
It looks like this was a return or something and they just sent it back to me. So I initiated the free return and that was fine, obviously they tried to stop the return happening by requesting photos, explanations etc.
When “approved” - what do you mean approved, it is my right to return it within 30-days it doesn’t require your approval - they emailed me a massive label to print off (it’s not 2001 I don’t have a printer 🤣, whose printing off returns labels at home).
Then, go drop it off at a parcel shop, what parcel shop where? No link included to help me find the correct parcel distribution network to spend 30mins of my day driving to and from to return it.
Total shambles, won’t make the mistake of going cheap again. Fool me - you get what you pay for with these mass produced products/companies.
UPDATE: 3 days later still can’t return the watch, they have the worst returns process I’ve ever come across. They keep sending me labels they claim can be scanned by FedEx and DHL drop
off locations, I have visited 3 today (1 FedEx and 2 x DHL) and they cannot print the labels despite AV86 claiming they can. It is my day off and I’ve spent 1.5hrs driving around parcel shops. I have issued a chargeback with Amex as the return process is not fit for purpose and should not have to spend multiple hours on email with the customer service team being given inadequate/false information which means I am unable to post the watch back. I warn you DO NOT BUY from this company unless you’re 110% sure you want it and god forbid like me it arrives having clearly been opened and returned by someone else and just shipped out again. Re my previous entry they told me to scan the QR code for the manual, there is no QR code on the box to scan. It is a cost cutting measure so they don’t have to print it. This company is masquerading as a premium watch manufacturer but they are mainstream at best. The watch looks passable from a distance but look up close it is made of very cheap material that won’t last more than a few years if you’re lucky, do yourself a favour and stay away.

Hi Robert,
We have now received your watch back and processed a full refund. Upon inspection, the watch is in perfect, brand-new condition, complete with price tags, protective plastic on both the case back and glass, and the leather strap remains completely untouched.
Regarding the battery, which was mentioned as missing: there is a small piece of plastic at the crown designed to prevent the battery from activating during shipping. Once this plastic is removed, the crown engages and the watch starts running - a picture of this has been sent to your email for reference.
We sincerely hope that you will consider updating this review, as the information currently provided is not fully accurate. From our perspective, it appears that the main issue was with the return process rather than the watch itself.
Of course, we understand if you chooses not to, but we hope you might. We always take any feedback about our products, service, or processes seriously – our customers have every right to share their experience. At the same time, we hope that reviews reflect the facts accurately, so that everyone reading them gets a fair and truthful understanding of the situation.

We are currently in direct dialogue with you through our customer support team, where we’ve asked for photos of the watch, so we can fully understand the concerns you’ve raised about it appearing used. Please know that we never send out used products. If anything appears worn or tampered with during shipping, we treat it very seriously and investigate with our courier.
Regarding the watch itself, the battery is already installed when shipped.
Sometimes the chronograph second hand, which only moves when the chronograph is activated, can be mistaken for the main running second hand. The running seconds hand is the smaller dial, which may not have been immediately obvious. The manual for operating the watch is available via the QR code on the watch box, so you can always access it digitally if needed.
As for returns, we’re sorry if our process hasn’t met your expectations. Our return labels are designed to be printer-friendly, and for those without a printer, FedEx can print the label at any drop-off location. This process works reliably for the majority of our customers worldwide, and it ensures the package is safely returned to us.

Excellent product and customer service
The product, an AV86-1844 chronograph, is well-made, accurate, and truly elegant, suitable for daily wear and formal occasions alike. The wood storage box and leather travel pouch are first-rate and likewise well-made. The transaction was smooth, tariffs (Denmark to USA) and S&H included so no hassles. Above all, the customer service was supportive, really excellent: attentive, bright, cheerful and helpful! I am very pleased, and highly recommend this company and their CS and watches to anyone.

A Beautiful Watch and a Good Company
A beautiful watch (1956 Marine Steel/Black Gilt) and great customer service. I ordered the watch late on a Friday (US East Coast time) and didn't figure there would be any action on my order until the following week. Then there was some ridiculous US tariff threats on Saturday. I feared for the worst, but on Sunday morning there was an email from the company CEO assuring no problems and that the order had shipped. Outstanding! And the watch is as great as it looks online. I plan on another purchase soon.

Helped fix my issues.
Originally had some minor issues with the 1960 racing watch, however, AV86 were able to quickly come in contact with me and help me with my issues, even though I was half way across the world. Great customer service, the watch was nice quality and would definitely visit their store again.
