Read this before starting with 1st Energy Gas
Read this before you sign up. 1St Energy are one of the highest. which I found out too late. Our Gass bill was $1694 which is around 25% higher than many others i have now found online.
Our Heating bill was almost $1606 for the 2 months with 1St Energy.
I have worked out with AGL it would be around $1164 which is the best I found today. Saving $442
Turns out, 1St Energy charge 0.01 Cents per Mj over most. Around 25% more.
AGL start at 0.034 Mj Cents and go as low as 0.02 cents per Mj. AGL work out to be much cheaper. SO PLEASE Look around first!
Just do NOT start with these guys which BTW I found via the compare the markets sites. Don’t trust these guys anymore either as the promote the ones they want you to buy to the top of the list it seems.
All I suggest, especially if it’s a big house, start with AGL, then work out the your monthly numbers to correctly compare with other providers.
In the 2 Images are the rates I used to compare my usage values from the AGL and 1ST ENERGY Websites.

I was confused by process
I thought the product was good. Jessica, the cold caller was lovely but then when I had to hang up and wait for a call from the product manager it became very messy.
I think what happened was a different power company called me in between times. Then I was unsure if I was talking to the correct company as I didn't hear properly what they were called in the first place.
Then it took 3 more phone calls from Jessica and Ash before things went smoothly. I thought by the end of it that I had been scammed. It was like the follow-up system had broken down and no-one knew what the other one was doing.
Fingers crossed that it has all gone well.
