Testing was quick - the payment has taken a while

The laptop I sold was received on 4 March and the payment amount was confirmed on 5 March. I then received an email saying “we’ve got some money for you” and I accepted the offer the same day. It is now 16 March and I have not received the payment yet.

I sold a phone with another company that same week and the whole process from them receiving the phone to making the payment took three days. Because of that I am not sure why Laptops Direct takes so long to make a bank transfer. The bank details I sent were correct but apparently there was some trouble making the transfer so I have been instructed to wait another 2-5 working days.

The testing process itself was quick, but the payment has taken much longer than expected.

Disappointing Service

I placed my order on 2 January and was informed that delivery would be on Sunday 4 January. DPD sent a confirmation stating they were expecting to receive my order, but nothing was delivered on Sunday.

I informed the pharmacy of what had happened and assumed they would send a replacement, as DPD never received the order and therefore had nothing to deliver. It is now Wednesday 7 January and I am still waiting.

ASDA claims the order was returned by DPD and that they are sending out the same package, despite repeatedly stating that the medication must be refrigerated and that the packaging only keeps it cool for 48 hours. It has now been over 96 hours since they claim the order was dispatched.

To date, I have received no information about when to expect delivery. The way they conduct their investigations does not put customer wellbeing first, and there is no transparency at all. I suspect they simply dont have the stock. I have now reported the pharmacy to their regulator.


Update
- I was told that I would be getting my order today. It looks like the pharmacy did not put my house number on the package so the order has been returned again. I was sat by the door since morning so I know DPD was not on my road and I did not receive any calls from the driver. I will attempt to get a refund from Asda and purchase my medication elsewhere.
