Really disappointed with the latest bate and switch added charges from bikeflights. They changed the way you need to document measurements and now require you to lay the box in its side and take pictures of it to prevent an uncharge. We took pictures of the box standing up like we always have and they no longer accept these as accurate measurements.
Uncharges suck but they suck even more when the goal posts keep changing.

Hi Maxx,
We totally hear your frustration on this. Unexpected charges are never a good experience, and when the process changes it can definitely feel like the goal posts moved.
You’re right that we’ve updated how measurements are documented. Having the box laid flat helps ensure the most accurate dimensions and aligns with how carriers like UPS assess packages — it’s not meant to make things harder, just to prevent discrepancies (and those exact kinds of charges) on the back end.
I do see you’ve already been in touch with our Claims team, which is great. They’re the best group to review the details of your specific shipment and make sure everything was handled correctly. If there’s anything that didn’t feel clear or fair in that process, please don’t hesitate to follow up with them — we want to make sure you’re taken care of.
Appreciate you calling this out — feedback like this helps us continue to improve how we communicate changes like these.
Thanks for responding to our review request. I have sent you a message to follow up and clarify exactly what aspect of our service you were disappointed with.
We have some automation for our chat and an automated voice response to help customers reach the right agent on our phone system. We are always open to how we could make those aspects of the service more effective so I look forward to hearing back from you.
