It truly has been an aggravation that one now has to prove their shipping sizing. I know you guys state it is the carrier but it is also a reflection on you that it is begging to feel like nickel and diming us. Shipping now is becoming more and more of a hassle to have to prep your shipments to potentially defend yourself after the fact. Note: I have also began to experience that some UPS Stores are beginning to charge for drop offs and to hold packages ($5/day/package). I understand some are independently own but something else to consider

Hi Lee,
Thank you for the honest feedback—we completely understand how frustrating this can feel.
Over the past year, carriers have significantly tightened their billing and audit processes, which now require much more precise package measurements than in the past. While these policies are set and enforced by the carriers, we know that experience ultimately reflects on us as well, and we don’t take that lightly.
The intent isn’t to nickel and dime anyone, but rather to pass through the charges exactly as they’re assessed to us. When dimensions are flagged or adjusted during a carrier audit, we’re charged accordingly, which is why accurate sizing upfront has become so important.
We also hear you on the added hassle—having to double-check measurements or potentially defend them after the fact isn’t ideal, and it’s something we’re actively working to make clearer and easier for customers through better guidance and tools.
Regarding UPS Store fees, you’re correct—many locations are independently owned and may charge for services like package holding or drop-offs at their discretion. While those fees aren’t controlled by us or the carrier directly, we agree it adds another layer to consider when planning a shipment.
We truly appreciate you sticking with us and sharing this perspective—it helps us continue improving the experience.
