Travelled down to the lakes to visit the store, was impressed by the range and amount of stock onsite. Tried to purchase a pair of boots but they didn’t have them in our size. Store refused to price match their sister company “outdoor clothing” who had the same boot considerably cheaper. Ordered the boots online while standing in the store and didn’t think much else of it. Few days later the boots got delivered and they were in a plastic bag and had no box. No the boots were to be a gift but they arrived like they’d been dispatched by Temu. Contacted the company who were totally useless and gave me some generic T&C’s to read. I then pointed out that this purchase did not fall under the T&C restrictions and surely this wasn’t an acceptable presentation to send out to a customer. I wrote a strong worded email expressing my disappointment only to be told that the boots had to be sourced from the store which I know to be a lie as the store never had any that’s why I ordered them online. Once I pointed this out to customer service they offered to send me a random shoe box. Genuinely shocked at the blasé attitude from customer service. You pay a lot of money for outdoor clothing and to be treated this way from customer service is genuinely disappointing. They don’t care and I would advise anyone making a purchase from either Gaynors or outdoor clothing to be cautious.
