Unprofessional and threatening behaviour.
Unfortunately it is necessary for us to rewrite our original review due to emails we are continuing to receive from Moomin Merchandise.
Our original review voiced our concerns of this business conducting themselves in a dishonest and inappropriate manner, of potentially being a scam.
Moomin Merchandise asked us to be a supplier for them with the materials needed for one of their own products. After a week the order had not arrived so Moomin contacted us by email and phone. We replied to the email within 5 minutes of receiving it with an update but were unable to answer their phone enquiry immediately.
Rather than respond to our email, Moomin surprisingly took to Trustpilot to accuse us of illegal activity, running a scam and encouraging others to avoid us. A somewhat disproportionate response for an overdue small order of fabric!
We tried to reach out to Moomin by email once again but to no avail so we left our own review of our experiences. Online retail is awash with a myriad of scams and Moomins alarming reaction certainly ticked a few boxes of well known retail scams.
Sadly this is where things have taken a sinister turn.
This morning our employees have arrived at work to find a bombardment of Facebook comments and threatening emails from the owner.
He has told us to remove our review or he will, in his words, 'be forced to take further actions...'
What does this mean? Legal action? Personal threats? Both?
Most worryingly he has made it clear that he has discovered some of our employees personal addresses, presumably to target with these 'further actions'. A very concerning situation for those that work for us and their families. Why would you need staff members personal addresses when our business address is readily available?
The owner of Moomin Merchandise says he will be reporting us to the Police. Given the threatening emails he has been sending us today, this can only be considered a good thing and we look forward to hearing from them.
Moomin Merchandise are very willing to be spiteful and leave terrible feedback accusing you of illegal activity if you are unable answer the phone to them. However, when a review is left for them, expect plenty of personal threats and social media harassment.
No doubt Moomin will respond with further accusations but all of the above is accurate. It is all documented and awaiting that police investigation that Moomin claim will be taking place.
All this because we took 5 minutes to respond to an email but had not answered the phone!
Whether you are a supplier or a customer, be wary of this one.

Update; Sadly rather than desist, Dave is now organising his friends to spam our account with negative, offensive reviews.

I ordered a product from Hot Pink Haberdashery, they didn’t supply the product, they didn’t tell me they couldn’t supply it, they told me nothing at all, not even a courtesy email.
I then left a negative review to express my dissatisfaction.
They emailed me telling me “I will have you refunded and pop a review on your own Trustpilot to reflect our experiences of Moomin Merchandise.”
A couple of hours later I received an anonymous review that read
“SCAM COMPANY DO NOT USE We have made several attempts to contact them and zero response”
Interesting as they literally told me there going to do this in an email so clearly were in contact with me at the time.
I replied to this with the response
“thanks for your review hotpinkhaberdashery.com. sadly this is a lie, its in retaliation for me leaving you bad review for leaving me on the phone for 30 minutes without picking up. how sad you're going to make fake reviews”
This then prompted them to change their review entirely to what is above accusing me of all sorts things after I threatened them with legal actions.
The funny thing is all the time it was anonymous there was no way to prove they wrote the review so I had very little legal recourse. That was of course until I called them out in my reply. At that point they ingeniously changed their fake review to try to cover up the libel and in the process exposing that it was them that posted it all along.

interesting as I never sent an email about it? I sat on the phone to you for half an hour listening it to it ringing and used your website to try to contact you but I never emailed you so curious to know how you responded so quickly?
