Terrible experience using the pay by phone app which is registered with my car registration number. I received a summons stating I used the incorrect registration number which is not true.
A picture shows my car entering Moor Park car park with my car registration which is the same as on my app so why the summons?

I have been sent a demand for a parking fine when I was not responsible for the car and did not park. Every attempt to contact ZZPS has been blocked. It is unbelievably frustrating and unjust.

I entered the wrong licence plate…
I entered the wrong licence plate number and received a fine for parking contrary to regulations. I had paid and was surprised. I contacted ZZPS customer services and spoke to Alex. He looked into what I had put down as my number and discovered that I missed a letter. I had paid but wrong number. He agreed to rescind the penalty which he did forthwith. His customer communication skills and manner were outstanding.

I didn't receive the original parking fine
Called as the parking fine has been escalated to ZZPS debt recovery despite me not receiving the original parking fine or the subsequent chase letter, due to an error in address. Was told nothing they can do and I need to let it proceed to solicitor level/court. Not happy.

Reference 154665996 - I got a parking notice because I made a typo in my registration. Once I queried it - it was resolved. My question is, when keying in an incorrect registration into the parking payment box, how is this not challenged there, on the spot? Surely you guys know what registrations have entered the car park? Quick enough to send a charge through. So, as a recommendation, instead of hoping people just pay up - make the system challenge incorrect registrations so that we do not have to do unnecessary life admin.

We’re glad to hear that your query was resolved.
We appreciate your suggestion about checking registrations at the point of entry. However, we do not manage the payment system used for parking and therefore cannot maintain a database of vehicle registrations.
The system can only record the details entered at the time of payment. This means that if a registration is entered incorrectly, it cannot be automatically cross-checked, which can, unfortunately, result in situations like the one you experienced.
We understand this can be frustrating and appreciate your feedback. While we are unable to make changes to the payment system ourselves, your comments have been noted.
