Avoid them!
Done a few order with Zappies before and never had issues until now. Waited over a month for stock to arrive as usual and received invoice to pay so they can ship the products. I wanted to double make sure product is correct and asked for images before making the payment. Then 2 days later I get this reply saying
“ i've come in this morning and my manager has told me that the supplier messed up on the cost of that item, so it's increased. our normal cost now is £13.80, but of course for the quantity you're taking i have sorted a discounted price of £13.26 - this is the lowest margin i can apply on top of our cost so it's the very best price i can offer.
here's the link to the item, let me know asap if you still want as we have another buyer that will take them but you have first opportunity of course as you ordered before them.”
We agreed on £10 plus vat beforehand. What if I had made the payment 2 days ago and been told I would have to pay more which looks like others had this issue too. Be careful they are not professional and make mistakes that fall on you. Personally I think my manager Chris Needham had negotiated a price with me that was agreed on but another buyer offered more. Even so mistakes from a distributor should not be falling on their customers.
