Zager Guitars Arvostelua

My guitar, a ZAD50CE w/ solid African Mahogony top, sides and back. It is more than I expected. The overall look is mesmerizing. The finish is deep and shinney. The neck is smooth. The fret spacing is perfect. The tone is rich. The company was easy to do business with. Denny Zager puts his customers first and adds his personal touch by sighing the back of his guitars.

Dear Dennis,
I received my ZAD 900CE OM Sunburst a couple of months ago. I must report that I own an Olson and two Martins/D-28 & 35, all of which are amazing guitars. However, my new Zagers plays like an electric guitar, and the acoustic value is second to none. I only wish I had played your instruments many years ago and now must figure out how to afford and sneak a 900 12 string past my wife! All the best as you begin to navigate/enjoy your golden years!
Sincerely,
Mike Adams

Dennis ~ I love my Zager acoustic cutaway with pickups. Yesterday I had folks in my guitar group try it for the ease of play, they loved the action and the sound. Yes, I too like many testimonials, have friends with Martins and Taylors and I like my Zager sound and action on the neck much more.
A pro recording friend said he liked my sound for recording over Martins, as he has to correct more on the bass range.
My comment to anyone considering a better guitar is order one, try it, try it free...I did and bought a $650 Eatman to compare...that looked nice and played okay, but I always went to my Zager...and sold the Eastman 6 months later.
Bottom line - why not try out a Zager?...Free to try!

All i can say is. Great guitar's at a great value. Extremely well crafted, very easy and very fast to perform with.

My husband bought me a zager guitar as the older I get it is harder to play with my fingers. This guitar is really easy to play has a beautiful sound and I love the extras they send along with it and it’s hand signed By Denny himself. I love the color and the finish and the whole nine yards never had a nicer guitar. Thanks guys the quality is great and the people are great to work with.

I recently purchased the ZAGER ZAD900CE, and I have to say, the photos on the website don’t do this guitar justice. It is absolutely stunning in person. The craftsmanship is impeccable, the finish flawless, and the quilted maple binding and inlay really make it pop.

The sustain on this guitar is incredible, even better than my Taylor 324E. The intonation is spot on, making it a joy to play. I find the neck design makes it easier to get my hand around and really makes it comfortable to play. The neck also seems to be faster.

I was hesitant to buy a guitar without first playing it, and I went back and forth for several months before finally pulling the trigger. I’m so glad I did because this guitar is everything ZAGER claims it to be. I’m extremely satisfied with my purchase and would highly recommend it to anyone in the market for a high-quality acoustic-electric guitar.

As a late bloomer to learning to play the guitar when it came to purchasing an upgrade to my first guitar purchase, I set my sights on quality, craftsmanship, ease of playing and value for the price.
I visited and tested as many of my choices that I could over several months and in the end the choice was simple for me, a Zager 50 CE in sunburst. It nailed everything I was looking for in my next guitar!
So if you’re looking for an upgrade for your next guitar purchase give Zager guitars a test run in fact they’ll give you a 30 day free trial with shipping both ways to try it at home!

This past July of 2024 I made a purchase of a ZAD-900CE/AURA/VCS that I received but had to send it back for a minor blemish. I requested for an exchange for the same model. I did eventually received the guitar I requested. but there were many complications that took place thru misunderstandings that I may be part of. The Zager support groups lined me up with the proper channels that involved, Henry, a higher up manager that included Mr Zager’s input as well. They all went thru many attempts to rectify and bring the matter to a satisfying solution for everyone involved. Everyone was very generous throughout this ordeal. The moral of this story is that Zager and company are there to help you in anyway possible to make things right for you. I am confident everyone will be treated with utmost efforts to make it right in servicing you. They are committed in this respect. I thank you Mr. Zager personally and every one involved for a happily ending. Yours truly Donald A. Lyonnais

I purchased the ZAD900CE. It arrived in perfect condition exactly as described by other people who bought a guitar from Zager.
I never purchased a guitar online before. I always wanted to play it before I bought it to hear how it sounded first. I read all the reviews online combined and with the 100% return guarantee I decided to take a chance. I am so happy I did. The guitar was in tune for the most part and sounded great right from the start. I have owned a Taylor in the past and it sounded just as good as good as the Taylor did.

Zager Guitar company provided excellent service from point of contact through delivery. This day and time great customer service is difficult to find. I purchased the ZAD900CE Sunburst 50th Anniversary Edition and received the guitar, $700 worth of professional accessories, and a professional hard shell case. When I purchased Zager was also giving a BOGO Easy Play guitar with my package. All items arrived within two weeks, free of defects and ready to play. The Fishman Aura Pro system on the guitar is awesome, as is the ZAD900CE. All of my friends want to look at , touch and play my Zager. One of my friends has asked me over to play guitars several times and he always wants to play it. He is a lead guitarist and he walks all over the neck, unlike me, and he loves it as much as I do. I was so impressed with the Zager and their great customer service that about three days later, I purchased a ZAD80CE Special Edition in Black Lacquer; again with the accessory pack, a professional hard shell case, and a second BOGO Easy Play guitar. My second Zager arrived in about one week. Again, I cannot say enough about Zager guitars. They look beautiful, they sound beautiful and they are “right out of the box” set-up better than any guitar I have ever played. I certainly recommend Zager guitars for new players, those learning new techniques (scales or barre chords, those with any condition resulting in a weaker grip and everyone else. With Zager’s only true 100% money back guarantee (play it for up to 30 days free) and you can still get your money back if not 100% satisfied; Zager will even pay for the shipping back to them. Try that with any other manufacturer or, better yet, try it with any of the big box stores selling guitars. Zager makes the best guitar for my money. If I decide I want another guitar, I’m not sure a guitar player can have too many, I will return to Zager. Thanks to Denny, Dennis Jr., and to all the professionals at Zager Guitar Company. I’m a Zager fan for life in Atlanta, Texas

Both the customer service and the product that Zager makes is second to none! I purchased the ZAD-80CE Aura Black Special Edition "Johnny Cash" acoustic electric guitar and I couldn't be happier. It is an amazing guitar with a beautiful rich sound and excellent build quality. It is easier to play than my Martin D-18E and procuces a crystal clear sound. Thank you Denny Zager for making such an amazing instrument.

Thank you Jolene. I could not be happier with an acoustic purchase. Particularly the tonal woods of cedar and rosewood ...such a unique combination. I own a 100% koa Washburn, a 100% mahogany D17 Martin, and a Sitka/rosewood 00032 Martin. Love these combinations. All very different tonals.

Music is as necessary to me as breathing. The way I scratched that itch was with a trio of guitars. In a stunning betrayal, those I trusted stole them for drugs. I was utterly devastated. While perusing the web I saw a blurb about Zager guitars. I checked out the website and one model just sang to my muse. I ordered it and today "she" arrived. Yep, that's anthropomorphic. She is more beautiful than I expected. It is crystal clear that love, competence, and just plain artistry went into making this instrument. I tuned her and played her and I cried because her voice, even newly constructed, is sweet and softly but clearly toned. I count myself blessed to be able to play again and I thank Denny Zager, Sr., and Denny Zager Jr. for such a gorgeous instrument. Just so you know the other guitars included a Gibson and a Fender. This guitar is their equal if not superior in playability, resonance, and rich tone. Just think: She will get better with age!

Exceptional quality guitar with a focus on playability, sound quality and craftsmanship. I personally got the Zad900ce and the look and feel of this guitar is fantastic. The sound is rich and resonates throughout. It just sounds more full, one note leads into the next with the previous note still resonating inside the guitar and it never feels empty or flat. I’ve been playing for 18 years the zad900 has the best sound quality of any guitar I’ve personally played. It’s a guitar you’ll want to keep for a lifetime.

’m not being paid for this is just my honest opinion but i just got my Zager Zad50CE Vintage Sunburst ~ it’s an absolutely beautiful instrument and sounds equally as good. Awesome!

The craftsmanship is top notch. The wood selection is great and inlays are stunning.
What they say about “easy play” is definitely correct. It’s setup perfectly and you’ll find yourself playing longer without the pain.

I can now officially say that there’s only two types of acoustic guitar players.
Those that have a Zager, and those that need one.
Get one, you won’t be disappointed!
Might be treating myself to a ZAD900CE f/s 50th anniversary sunburst for Christmas 👍🏻

A beautiful, well-made guitar with easy playability and great sound, I highly recommend Zager guitars. My guitar is over 20 years old, looks like new and sounds better as rime goes by.

Terrible customer service!
I ordered a travel size guitar in June 2024, I realized that the guitar was backordered when I ordered and at that time it was going to be shipped out in July 2024 but as of September 6, 2024 they had not shipped my order. When I contacted Zager (which at times no one would respond) or I would get an email stating that my order was being expedited. There was no date as to when my order would ship, and my order status on their website showed that it was ready and on its way to me but no tracking number was provided. After waiting through the month of July, I called the first week of August and after leaving an exasperated message for someone to please explain what is going on, I received a phone call letting me know parts for the guitar was backordered so the guitar would not be shipped until the end of August. I decided to wait. I called August 26, (a Monday) and spoke to a woman asking if my order would be shipped soon, she said my guitar would ship this week. On August 30th (a Friday) still no shipping information or communication. I called on August 30, and was able to speak to a gentlemen who explained that it would probably be another 2 to 3 weeks. I decided enough was enough and called back and requested a refund, the woman I spoke to said my refund would take 3 to 5 days but as September 6 no refund was processed to my credit card. I called Zager again and left a message asking why a refund had not been processed, I received a call back stating that they will process a refund but it will take 1 to 3 days. Not trusting what she said, I contacted my credit card company and started a claim against Zager. It was obvious that my orginial request for a refund had not been done August 30.
I was a returning customer after purchasing a guitar last year with Zager and at THAT time it took several calls to get my guitar to ship but I finally recieved it. Too bad Zager treats their customers this way, they make beautiful guitars, but I not be purchasing any more guitars from Zager, it's just not worth the headache!!

Wonderful guitars! Wonderful service! Very fair in all of their dealings!

I'm an ordained Southern Baptist Pastor who always enjoys singing those favorite hymns while playing guitar with it. Historically speaking, I've purchased, owned, and played with many other brand name guitars in the past. However, recently I've purchased the one of Zager's Mahogany 50 series ZAD900 from Zager Guitars. It definitely and truly has the brighter, richer and deeper sound from it than any other guitars that I've previously owned and played with all my favorite hymns. Therefore, I'd give my thumps up on Zager Guitars. 👍

Beautiful instruments . I was one of the lucky ones who got in on a BOGO deal. Not only a more than generous accessories package but a free guitar!!!
I can’t say enough about the quality and playability of these guitars . Sound rings true and pure. Wishing you all great health and long life.
