Zager Guitars Arvostelua

I am in my mid 70’s and have had acoustic guitars since I was 13 but shamefully cannot read music. Nevertheless, many happy hours have been had strumming on my own or entertaining others. I have a moderate guitar collection and all have been purchased from ‘high street shops’, until now. By pure fluke I was reminiscing over my 60’s days and music I liked when I happened upon one of my many ‘milestone’ record memories - In the Year 25 25, by Zager and Evans. It took little research to discover that one half of the duo had been hand crafting guitars for many years. From then on it was simple to seek advice on how to procure a gem!

I soon realized. that I was not only buying a musical instrument, but joining a family. The care and consideration I received throughout the buying process was outstanding and beyond words. I thought that was the icing on the cake, but there were cherries to follow! The quality and finish on the guitar - outstanding. My ‘favourite’ guitar to this point had been a 12 string that I have had for 17 years. The built in harmony of the strings left all my others behind. Now I have been filled with confusion as my Zager 6 string presented wonderful tones that logically, (to me), should not emanate from a six string! Mr Zager’s, or should I now say MY guitar, is s masterpiece of engineering. BUT, it has presented me with a problem.. All my other guitars display on stands in my living room. I love this one so much that I want to keep it in its case!

Well done to the Zager family!

The Zager family makes awesome products. The tone and beauty of the instrument is wonderful. The strings maintain their tone and tune.

Highly recommend Zager!

After many months of researching and trying to decide on the right Zager guitar for me I settled on a ZAD50CE Mahogany. I had seen the ads for Zager and what drew me to them was the easy play feature. I have had an Epiphone for forty years but would stop as soon as I started because it hurt my fingers due to an injury I had.

My guitar arrived the other day and was even better than I expected. It is a truly beautiful guitar and the workmanship Denny and his crew put into making it is evident. The details are incredible.

What a great company and family to deal with.

I purchased the 2026 ZAD900CE natural finish and it was just delivered to my Texas home today (Aug. 3rd, 2026). After close inspection I found it to be beautifully crafted and absolutely gorgeous. The first thing I noticed is the guitar nested perfectly into the case protecting it from any kind of gorillas that it might encounter during transport. The top wood was exquisite and flawlessly finished. The purfling and mother of pearl inlay is just right, eye catching but not gaudy. Same for the Rosewood back and sides. Also, very nice touch on the gold Grover Tuners.

I couldn’t wait to tune it and play for a few minutes before checking things further. I hate to use this term but "I was blown away" by the rich tones, projection and overall quality of the sound. The fret board is also immediately notable at how much easier it is to play and hit notes. I hate to say it but I think my Martin, Yamaha and Takamine guitars are going to be gathering dust or sold. Lastly, I hooked it up to my amp to check out the Aura Pro onboard electronics. I set my amp up to emulate a 12 string and I was grinning like crazy.

To be truthful, I was hesitant to put money out for a custom guitar but your claim that people with arthritis would benefit pushed me to give it a try. Bottom line is that I could not be happier with the purchase so far. I think it will likely extend my ability to play far into the future without the pain I was starting to experiencing with my other guitars.

That said, I believe that Mr. Zager’s has designed and built a superior product to his competitors and I can see now how his business model must frustrate the corporate biggies. I paid ~$2,100.00 for the ZAD900CE with all the extras (case, picks, capo, tuner, leather stape, 3 sets Zager custom strings and lifetime access to the website lessons and topics). I feel they could charge twice that (or more) and I would still feel that I got my money’s-worth. I’m going to have fun putting my guitar up against the high-dollar hand-made $5k - $9K guitars (you know the ones) and watch their faces.

Anyway, I think Mr. Zager is a guitar genius and I wish him all the best. I love the buy straight from the factory business model; it’s a win-win. And thirdly during extensive research, I read you have separate “Easy Play” brand (Not the USA Zager Custom brand) that you have made for yourself so that you can give away a million bucks worth of good playing guitars to schools and less fortunate. I admire that so much and it says volumes about your work ethic and generosity. Actions like that brings great happiness and will actually change certain people’s lives for the better.

Please keep up the quality business model and encourage your family to never change it and thank you for a great value and product.

The easiest and consequently the best sounding acoustic guitar I’ve ever played … the combination of low action and the extra string spacing makes a 4 fingered c a certainty …., rather than a hope!!!!!
An affinity is felt as being from Lincoln England…. I could not resist a guitar from Lincoln Nebraska…… so glad I did …. My main stage guitar…. Would love a dark burst cutaway to add to the stable …..
A lasting note …. Other manufacturers and vendors could learn a thing or two from Zager … after my initial contact, Denny has contacted me several times to see how I’m getting on with the guitar…etc ….. unheard of elsewhere….
Much love

Just received my 900CEOMVS and I’m thrilled to have it.
Zager talks about the play and sound and it’s nothing short of that. The beauty and workmanship is top notch. Their team has your back, the quality is amazing. I have others guitars (Martin/Taylor) and yes they are good, but I’m telling you this is the best! If you’re looking for an acoustic start w/Zager - You will not regret it!

The Zager guitar I received is a beautiful instrument. It plays great and sounds amazing. The company was awesome from start to finish.

I purchased a Zager parlor recently during the scratch and dent sale. The repair was so expertly done i couldn't see any sign of it even knowing where it was. the finish is flawless and the sound is unbelievable. it plays significantly better than any other acoustic guitar, and also many electrics that I've tried over nearly 25 years of playing. everything from the setup to the fret finishing and even their made in-house strings it comes equipped with is perfect. Combined with their customer service and support as well as the value for your money, I could not recommend Zager guitars more.

At the end of last year 2025 I purchased a ZAD 900 CE but when I got it, I had a problem with the pick up so I sent the guitar back and they didn't bother to just change the pick up out instead they sent me a brand new guitar which I've had since then and to tell you if your thinking about buying yourself a great Acoustic I would definitely recommend that you try a Zager right along side a Martin, Taylor of Gibson. I have played or owned them all , and of them All I recommend the ZAD 900 CE as the best playing best sounding of all I have ever played. Hands down. I absolutely love mine.

With my ZAD80CE, I can play material I could never play before! It truly is an Easy-Play instrument. The easiest to fret and chord with. I can spend hours playing without stress or pain. Ive been playing since 1978, and this world class acoustic guitar sounds better acoustically and through PA better than any guitar Ive ever owned...Its beautiful to behold and gets attention when Im on stage with it! Even the free student guitar I recieved plays better and easier than most brands.I love my Zager!! The people at Zager are responsive and the online help I get learning how to make this guitar last lifetimes is wonderful!

Been Playing for 60 years and this whole experience has been top notch. Professional all the way. From Ordering to support to delivery it could not have been better. I have interacted with several of the Team and Family members and they make you feel that your issue matters to them.

My 900CE is an amazing instrument. The detail and finish can not be properl;y protrayed online or in videos. It was so much better than I expected and I have played most everything at one time or another. Also it sounded much better than I expected a Fresh Guiitar to project. Kudos to Denny and the Family and whole team. Truly Masters

#1 I love the guitars that I recieved from Zager Guitars. #2 Their response to questions time was amazingly quick. I did the buy one get one free deal they had going on. Recieved the purchased guitar within a couple of weeks. It took a couple of months for the free one, but I was very pleasantly surprised to get another guitar that was as beautiful as the purchased one. The quality, feel and sound of both guitars are amazing! Thanks Zager family! P. S. Love the Easy Play Strings!

I had the best customer experience with Zager guitar's, I have 100 percent faith in this family business. I never have to worry if I get stuck with an issue with my beautiful hand made solid wood hand made guitar, believe me you have to play one of their guitars they are fenomenal and so beautiful Im sold..

I won a ZAD50 in a Zager Guitar Giveaway contest, and truth be told, this is the most beautiful guitar that I have ever owned. The craftsmanship and attention to detail is excellent, and the sound is mellow and full. It's a dreadnought: lightweight and comfortable, the string action is fast, the neck is slim, and the Grover tuner knobs turn smoothly and accurately. Simply stated, it is a joy to play.

My husband had been eyeing a Zager guitar for about a year or more. He was all excited talking about the guitar, the BOGO offers, the special discounts and pricing, and the quality of the guitars. He has been playing the guitar along with other musical instruments as well as playing in a band since he was a young man. He emailed me one of the guitars he was drooling over. I decided to buy him a Zager guitar for his 65th birthday. The one he was drooling over was the (Black 900CE), which came with a free accessory package worth $625.
This is what was included:
Free Zager pro ABS digital humidified case upgrade $199
Free lifetime membership to Mr. Zager’s Guitar Lesson Library $295
Free years' worth of Zager custom EZ-Play pillow touch strings $89
Free years' worth of Zager carbon guitar picks $39
Free Zager leather padded strap $48
Free Zager Pro stainless capo $39
Free Zager clip-on tuner $25
Free expedited shipping $79
I jumped on the offer because of the quality and special discount, along with the free accessory package! He was over the top excited when he unwrapped his gift. The quality is amazing! I would highly recommend Zager guitars not only for the quality, but also for the excellent customer service!

When I first started looking for a new guitar the one I bought was the one I saw first. I saved every penny I could til I had enough. I placed the order and could not wait. The box was delivered a day early and it was like Christmas for me. She plays incredibly amazing. I have toted her everywhere to show her off. I'm sure those around me will be placing an order or two. Bless y'all and thank you for making this for me. J.Cooley

I have been playing guitar and performing for 60+ years. I have played many different acoustic guitars over the decades. I now have arthritis, and my hand speed and strength are diminished. I perform at local elder care facilities at no charge, and it has been increasingly difficult for me to play due to the pain. I decided to purchase a ZAD900CE. Wow! I love the look, feel, touch, playability, and tone of this guitar. The Fishman AURA electronics are easier to use than I anticipated. Forming the chords and manipulating the fretboard are incredibly easy now. I have played Martin, Taylor, Guild, Gibson, Ovation, and Yamaha acoustics over all these years. They are all excellent guitars, but the 900CE has the most comfortable feel of any guitar I have played...and the sound is equal to, if not better than, the rest. I have relatively thick fingers, and the spacing between the strings is tailor-made for me. The 900CE is my go-to guitar. Many thanks to Mr. Zager for his brilliant design.

My experience with this company has been extremely positive. I do not expect a great deal in the way of customer service these days, but Zager and their reaction to my situation was beyond what I could have imagined. They went beyond what is 'just acceptable' and personally saw to it that they excelled in their providing me with above what was expected. They handled my situation quickly and in two days I have a magnificent guitar in my hands. The instrument was beautiful, light, full of tone, easy to play and matchless in it's quality. I would recommend their product and customer service to anyone looking for a beautifully hand crafted guitar. They are really 'one of a kind'.
Thank you!

Bought a ZAD900CE in February. Ordering was easy, and the guitar was shipped carefully and in a short time.

This guitar is very well built and high quality. Craftsmanship is superb. With that said - the sound is remarkable, intonation is great, and yes, it is an "Easy Play" guitar.

I'm not a professional, but I've owned many guitars in my 5 decades of playing, and I must say that this Zager ZAD900 tops my list of favorite guitars to play.

I liked the first Zager so much, I got another one - ZAD50N.
Same great build quality, same craftsmanship, same playability and also great sound (rosewood back and sides on the 900, mahogany on the 50).

Zager Guitars was easy to communicate with, also providing prompt and thorough answers to my inquiries.

There's a lot of people out there saying these Easy Play guitars is just a sales gimmick - Not true.

If you looking for a quality guitar from a good company, buy a Zager. You won't regret it.
