badly maintained boats - bad service
One of our clients hired nearly new Bavaria Cruiser. 46 with them and had several problems with the boat, including (but not limited to) a broken winch for the bathing platform. He was told by the base manager that he is not authorised to repair that winch and that they have the same problems with several other boats as well.
Even if the boat was nearly new, the condition of the yacht have been far below average. Not only on his boat but on neighbouring boats as well.
After return we contacted the head office, asking for a compensation, which was rejected with two arguments:
The shipbuilder is delivering poor quality so there is nothing that can be done (poor quality is true and everybody knows) but boats need to be properly prepared after deliver as all other companies in the market are doing.
The clients are treating the boats badly, so there is nothing they could change. Might be true as well, but this is their job, delivering proper maintenance and keep the boats in a good sailing condition.
Looks like they only try to make money without putting any effort in maintenance or customer service,
