Amazing experience with XPATS International,John was really professional.took 8 days lemosho route and all of us summited, from airport pick up to accomodation and 8 days expedition was above our expectations. Thanks to XPATS International.

I had an amazing experience climbing Mt Kilimanjaro in June 2022 with Xpats International on the Lemosho 8 day route. We were looked after phenomenally by the crew on the trek and also from John at Xpats on the ground. John spent a lot of time communicating with us prior to the trip to make sure we had the correct kit/information we needed for a successful summit. The experience was enhanced by the friendliness of the crew, amazing porter services and excellent food and water supplies to keep us going. There was never a dull moment as we were singing and chanting and dancing with our guides and porters along the trek. Our medical stats were monitored closely and we all felt very looked after by the guides. It was a challenge but I definitely could not have done it without the support of the crew and John.

We have just finished the 8 day Lemosho route with XPATS. The guides and porters were amazing, spirits were high every single day! We were fed extremely well the whole trip, and it was delicious. Every morning we were greeting with tea & coffee, when we arrived at camp popcorn, and a meal would be waiting for us!

The guides were very knowledgable and safety aware. We learnt lots about plants, Swahili, culture, and overall had an amazing time with them! They kept us singing, chanting and dancing the whole way to the top! We all summited successfully also!

John was super helpful throughout the trip, and before it - answering any questions we had no matter the time of day! He helped us get the best prices for things, arranged a safari for us in Arusha National Park and showed us the best of Arusha food/culture! Would definitely recommend using XPATS!

Wir, zwei Ehepaare im Alter zwischen 60. und 77. Jahren haben eine Reise nach Sansibar und Tansania mit vielen tollen Tipps und Vorschlägen von John Baron geplant. Erstes Highlight war die fünf tätige Safari in der Serengeti und dem Ngorongoro Crater. Unsere Guides waren sehr erfahren und wir sahen die Big 5 und vieles mehr an Tieren. John hat seine Guides gut ausgewählt. Sie waren hilfsbereit, herzlich und sehr lustig. Die Unterkünfte währen der Safari waren ein Traum.
Auf der Insel Sansibar hatten wir ein super Hotel am Meer inmitten eine grünen bunten Oase. Das Essen war sehr gut. Die Ausflüge auf Sansibar waren sehr interessant und gut organisiert. Hier hatten wir drei Guides, was eigentlich einer zu viel war. Ein bis zwei Guides sind völlig ausreichend. Trotz allem sehr sympathische junge Männer.
Fazit: Unsere Reise war sehr gut organisiert einschließlich Bring- und Abholdienst vom Flughafen.
Ein super Urlaub – jeder Zeit wieder – vielen Dank!

First of all I would like to say thank you to John and his team for this great trip. First we successfully climbed up the uhuru peak via the lemosho route and then we decided to go a three day safari trip (tarangire and manyara national park and nogorongo crater). What I appreciated the most was that John was available all the time before and during our vacation. He gave us helpful tips as well as supporting us with administrative things like visa, other activities, health care… that went far beyond his actual job.
Also as I had no connection to reach out to my family during the hike, John tried to reach our guides as often as possible to give my sister at home a live sign from us :). I felt safe with him at all times and that is for me one of the most important things. It was definitely a service that went far beyond what was expected. I would also like to leave a big thank you to our guides Godfrey and Makanja. Thanks to the warm nature of them and the good atmosphere of the whole crew, especially John who always serves us with food 😊. Without our guides I probably would not have made it to the summit. When I really wanted to give up, they motivated me with all they have not to give up and I finally made it.
I can also recommend the safari with xpats international. We had a guide who directed himself after us and could also tell us a lot about the wildlife.

I went to Tanzania to climb Kilimanjaro in January 2022. What started as a dream became an actual plan when I talked to John and ultimately a success story when I climbed the mountain with my guide Godfrey.
In the preparation John did an excellent job advising me on which route to take, what to bring and how to prepare physically and mentally. I really appreciated the communication, because he always answered any questions I had right away. He was also the one advising me to go for Machame instead of Marangu route. After summiting I am very happy that I went for Machame. I honestly don‘t know whether I would have summitted on Marangu as the acclimatization landscapes are a lot worse. Additionally, John did an amazing job making sure that I am comfortable and taken care of. He picked me up at and brought me to the airport, organized hotel rooms for before and after the climb and even helped me buy a Tanzanian SIM card for my stay afterwards. On the mountain, On the mountain, the first days were not difficult and offered beautiful landscapes. In my experience you can not compare these days to summit day, though. The last climb to the summit was extremely difficult and exhausting. In retrospective, I should have prepared more by hiking in higher altitudes and exposing my body to altitude changes as I had minimal hiking experience before climbing Kilimanjaro.
Lastly, let me share one very memorable moment on the mountain with you. I wear contacts every day and would not see much without them. On day 4, I wanted to put them in in the morning when suddenly a gust of wind blew the contact off my finger. Once my guide Godfrey and the porters noticed, everybody immediately came to help me search for it on the ground. Everybody who has ever lost a contact knows how hard it is to see the transparent lens. After 45 minutes of searching I was on the verge of giving up and had already sat down to have breakfast. Suddenly Godfrey shouted “It’s here!”. He had found it. I really could not believe my luck. It could have been hundreds of meters away by then but Godfrey found it a meter away from where I lost it. This experience examplifies the team spirit on the mountain and shows that guides and porters really want to get you to the summit.

Really enjoyed the trip! John has been great with helping me prepare for climbing Kilimanjaro. He organised it perfectly, helped with last minute questions and I was able to reach the top relatively easily! Guides and crew were good. Really great to reset a bit and enjoy the amazing nature.

Xpats International was professional and delivered as promised. Going to a different continent was intimidating at first, but Xpats made the experience comfortable and enjoyable. I would definitely use them again.
