I didn't have to deal with a new provider on the phone to set up an appointment. Plus the appointment was what I picked, not them.
Didn't have to call, leave a message, wait for a call-back, get put on hold; wait for them to come back to the phone or get cutoff and have to start all over again.
Got to review the providers and their reviews ahead of time. Wasn't rushed.

DOCTORS BEWARE: Do not use ZocDoc! They effectively steal from your small business and refuse to have your back, no matter how much someone misuses their platform to incur charges on your account. It is very possible to have hundreds of dollars MONTHLY worth of bookings made by patients who either 1. Never respond or show up, and/or 2. Misrepresent their insurance, and ZOCDOC WILL NOT CREDIT YOUR ACCOUNT. In their own words: "The booking fee applies regardless of the outcome of the appointment. In certain cases, fees may be waived, but this is not guaranteed."
From our experience backed by documents, emails, bank statements, and more: this is not true, and there is no case where anything is waived. You may very well find yourself paying upwards of $1000 monthly with ZERO patients in your chair from this platform, and HOURS of front office administrative time wasted, along with time you could have gave other patients.
Would you pay $1000 a month to have zero patients in your chair, your time wasted, and business disrupted? In my opinion, that is what ZocDoc has begun to exclusively (in effect) offer in the past year.
Their business model, as well as decision making management, are problematic. Our ZocDoc representative was constantly changing, and regardless, none were any help in making ZocDoc a smart choice for our business.
From my experience as a Doctor and business owner: this company stole thousands of dollars from me (in effect), and I am certain there are many other practitioners who have had this experience and just have not come forward yet. In fact, many already have, check out this Reddit Thread:

I have already told everyone i know about zocdoc, that may seem excessive, but they really impressed me. I am used to having to call around, wait on hold, give ALL my info, then MAYBE that office can see you in a timely manner. Zocdoc was incredibly easy and they didn't ask for all my info up front. Just which insurance do I have, what kind of dr am I looking for, and what area would I like to dive too. As a bonus, they display open appointment times. Honestly, incredibly impressed, I was able to book and make a doctor's appointment in the same day. Thanks again for making a service that actually make the medical field a bit more user friendly.
