Yorkshire Housing Arvostelua 

I am living next door to a young couple who have had 3 children in 4 years, they've had the police called out for violence so many times I've lost count, obviously Yorkshire housing are informed every time. The neighbours on the other side have had so many abusive threats Yorkshire housing fitted them with a door camera , for nothing to change they decided they would fit the couples house with a door camera, I mean whst are they waiting for, something to go really wrong, youd think theyd be trying to prevent it. Social services are dealing with them for violence, drug abuse, alcohol abuse and so on, every time I go out of my house I'm being shouted at abd threatened, we have recording after recording of evidence how long this is going on yet nothing is being done about it.
Feel totally abandoned by Yorkshire housing. I've lived here 21 years and have loved every minute until this happened

Ellie was the kind lady working to offer and assess me to been eligible for a property. Always lovely and helpful on the phone. Great experience

Just had my assessment phone call with Ellie, I have been nervous and on edge waiting for this however as soon as Ellie greeted me on the phone I felt at ease as she was very friendly and compassionate. Looking forward to meeting her in person and starting my new chapter with Yorkshire housing :) xx

Iv just had my housing assessment with Ellie. I have been like a nervous wreck for a week not knowing how the assessment will go and within a minute of being on the phone she made me feel at ease. And when she offered me the property i literally cried and she was so caring and understanding. Keep doing what your doing Ellie you do an amazing job!

The lady I spoke to Suzanne Pugh was amazing, so kind and caring and did everything she could to try and help.

Ellie has been fantastic this week helping us with our tenancy. She was very friendly, professional and explained everything clearly. What could have been stressful turned into a smooth and positive experience thanks to her support.

I’ve been a Yorkshire Housing tenant for 20 years this year, and I can’t imagine ever having anyone else as my landlord. I would say my experiences of dealing with YH are 98% positive in all that time, the vast majority of staff really care about the people in their properties and want to try to make their lives pleasant and fulfilling.

Of the few less than wonderful experiences I’ve had, all of them have involved contractors working on YH’s behalf rather than YH itself, and YH have always strived to sort out any issues and make things right.

This year my flat has been upgraded with smart heaters and a smart water heater, all of which cost far less to run and can be controlled via an app on my phone, or simply by telling Alexa what I want them to do, there’s a real Buck Rogers in the 25th Century vibe! These new devices learn from my usage and anticipate when I’ll want heating or hot water and charge up during cheaper periods to save me money on my electric bill. They’ve also installed solar panels which have made a big difference to my electricity bill, especially given the sunny weather we’ve had this year. It’s basically free to do my clothes washing during the day and run my aircon unit, which is a devil for eating up electricity.

As a disabled tenant, it’s important to feel my landlord cares about my wellbeing, and Yorkshire Housing definitely does that. They’ve fitted enhancements and adaptations to my flat to make life easier for me, and they also put me in touch with the right people to ensure I’m getting the right support. It feels good to feel the people you deal with at YH want you to be happy and supported where you need to be.

They’re a grand Yorkshire firm for grand Yorkshire people. They could only be any better if they paid my electricity bill for me. Hopefully after reading this they will 😁

(They won’t, but how good would that be if they did?!?! 😂😂😂)

I have spoken to Caitlin today from Yorkshire housing, customer services. What a lovely lady, so helpful and polite. Caitlin went out of her way to help and it was much appreciated

I live in a sheltered scheme Chestnut Court and I want to say the Scheme Manager Paula Lawton-Perry is really helpful, I struggle to fill in forms and she has helped me with these taking away the stress.

Ellie was amazing, was offered my forever home for me and my little boy. So polite and lovely to speak with.

I had mould in my bathroom and it was not looking good at all am so glad Wayn came today and he did a great job he got rid of the mould and made it look brand new gave me some advice which I appreciated

5/5 stars, from start to finish Ellie has been amazing, really helpful and talked me through everything, made a stressful process easy and made my week a lot better.

Yorkshire housing have planted a “needle” in my home to create a £200 needle sweep fee which they are unable to provide an invoice for.

They have also charged £300 for items left behind which equates to the grand total of one fridge and one cabinet. Again,
No itemised break down of the costs considering the council would be £30 to pick these up.

They also claim I should have cleared the structural planks and insulation from the attic upon my end of tenancy.

Any complaints go disregarded. My mum is disabled and elderly and I have asked them to go through me yet they’ve repeatedly attempted to contact her directly and force payment which is exploitative of a disabled person. I feel sick to my stomach with their exploitative practises.

I'm a private homeowner with a tenanted Yorkshire Housing property adjacent to mine. I've suffered abuse and criminal damage from said tenant. I reported it immediately to Yorkshire Housing via their antisocial behaviour online form. I heard nothing. I have telephoned 3 times and resubmitted the form. In one month I have had no contact from Yorkshire Housing. The Police want to work with Yorkshire Housing to address this behaviour but again have not made progress in being able to have a conversation with Yorkshire Housing despite repeated attempts.

The incidents were on 28/29 June, and I have not had any contact from Yorkshire Housing in all of this time. So it's not that it hasn't been dealt with properly, it's that it hasn't been dealt with at all.

Yesterday upon calling Yorkshire Housing and asking for information about how to complain, I was hung up on.

Both Ellie and karen have been really helpful. Everything from start to finish signing for our new house has gone smoothly.
