I would like to give 5* review for Mandy S at Newport Wickes . She is always friendly and very helpful with superb customer service .

Mandy and Jill and the Newport branch were top notch, very helpful and brightened up my morning !

Served by Cassie at Newport store very polite and friendly gave us confidence in having paint mixed by her going through everything she did

Cassie is an absolute delight to deal with ,she has a bright bubbly personality and goes above and beyond to assist me every visit .

She is an absolute pleasure and an asset to any employer.

Visited the Newport branch this morning requiring roofing felt, osb sheets and fencing paint. The staff Mandy and Jill were extremely helpful and friendly when I required materials that were not on the shelf. Between them they promptly found extra stock. UPDATE: I HAVE REPORTED HIM TO THE POLICE WILL NEVER USE WICKES AGAIN. THEY ARE IGNORANT AND BELIEVE COURIERS OVER THERE CUSTOMERS WITHOUT ANY EVIDENCE WHATSOEVER. THEY CLAIM THEIR COURIER HAS MADE A STATEMENT TO THE POLICE AFTER I TOLD HIM I WAS GOING TO REPORT HIM! NOTE: WICKES + CITY SPRINT DON'T DELIVER HEAVY BAGS OF GRAVEL/CHIPPINGS/STONES ETC BUT B&Q DO, SO I WILL BE SWITCHING TO B&Q INSTEAD FOR ALL FUTURE PROJECTS, AS THEY HAVE A DIFFERENT COURIER WITH MUCH BETTER DELIVERY OPTIONS + A WIDER AND BETTER SELECTION OF GOODS. (I believe City Sprint don't want to deliver heavy items, and that's the real reason for the failure to deliver 4x bags of soil to me 4 times, see reviews).

I've had a shocking experience with Wickes. They use an appalling courier company called CITY SPRINT (don't trust trust pilot reviews, check out oi.reviews, Glassdoor, etc...only 2* and lots of talk of aggressive drivers, with police involvement also). They let me down with my order multiple times. Watching the tracking as soon as they hit Newport I had a message saying there's a problem with my delivery and its all been sent back to Wickes. I had to send over 20 emails to get it sorted then when the delivery driver turned up he refused to bring my goods around to the back of the House (I'm in a rear garden flat). He'd only brought one deckboard to the gate. I complained I'd had loads of hassle for two weeks so please just bring my goods to my garden flat, but after him saying its not my fault, no point 'ranting at me'! he then just stood there and said 'no'. So I took the decking board leaning on the wall and said this is mine I have paid for it. Then rather shockingly he grappled with me to get it out of my hands nearly pulling me to the floor! I let go of the board which then fell to the floor and pushed the end of it through my gate before he could grab it again. He must of thought he was going to need the whole order back to claim a failed delivery? Anyway he took off because I said I was going to report him. I told Wickes what had happened. They rebooked the order for a FOURTH delivery attempt and said they ensure a different driver was sent, but in the meantime I left a bad review for City Sprint, so then they stopped that order! because of my bad review and Wickes refunded me. I told Wickes this was completely unacceptable after I had been messed around for two weeks and 4 failed deliveries and over 20 emails to sort it out. They said that they had to cancel the order because City Sprint had said they had involved the police, making it appear I had done something wrong or even illegal! And basically banning me from all future online deliveries! I have asked for proof of this statement from both Wickes and City Sprint, neither has provided ANY proof. CITY SPRINT APPEAR TO HAVE LIED TO WICKES to prevent me ordering from Wickes again. I'm the victim of an aggressive driver who had no right to pull a decking board out of my hands. He has caused me injury to my arm/shoulder. HE was a courier with a appalling attitude and aggressive behaviour. THEY ARE VICTIM BLAMING. I AM A 5'2" 8 stone, deaf, epileptic, cancer patient, with 2 brittle bone conditions and a balance condition, so walk with a stick. The driver was a large man over 6 foot tall. Yet, after my review and after they were made aware of the situation they chose to stop me recieving goods via Wickes deliveries ONLY because I left an honest review (as the last booking was AFTER they had been made aware of the incident, but BEFORE the review). Its incredibly bad practice. I rely on Wickes delivery as I can't drive due to my epilepsy. I'm pretty much housebound because of battling stage 3c ovarian cancer for so many years. Gardening is my therapy. This is CRUEL 😢 I have been a customer of Wickes for decades. Renovated an entire house via Wickes and spent thousands there before the cancer. This is a shocking and disgusting way to treat their long standing customers. I believe the real reason for the failure to deliver to me is because I live in a rear garden flat at the rear of a large Victorian house, so they have to go through 3 gates to get to my flat. The first gate takes them past the front garden, the second takes them past the front flat, then the third takes them to my rear garden flat. My order was heavy. A large bag of compost and 3 bags of topsoil. The delivery man was unfit and overweight. He simply couldn't be bothered. Now I am left with incomplete garden projects. Its so upsetting, because after all my time and effort for over two weeks and 20+ emails I obviously wasted my precious time, as I have a life limiting illness that's quite upsetting to me
