Wickes - Minworth Arvostelua 

I had my so called dream kitchen installed in January this year but within 3 months the holding bracket for my under worktop freezer has split and subsequently led to my freezer slipping back and putting the outside door out of line. I have had so many conversations with the warrenty team who totally refuse to put this right and are now saying this is down to aftercare so basically blaming me and are now washing their hands of the blame. I reached out to Bosch who were very helpful and after looking at photos immediately informed me it is definitely a wickes responsibility to put right , I passed this on to the warrenty team but they will not accept this either.
I am now at the point of escalating my complaint and have filed my complaint with the wickes customer relations team.
I am determined that I will get wickes to take responsibility for this issue and I am prepared to do everything in my power to get them to put this right. The warrenty team are a disgrace in my opinion and I am also in the process of complaining about the attitude of the guy who has been my contact point.
I am feeling stressed, frustrated and bitterly disappointed with the way this is being handled and it has definitely taken the shine off my new kitchen!

I've been searching everywhere for help with a specific paint effect, but every store I visited had no idea. Today, I walked into this store and met Demi — she was amazing. She had real knowledge of the paints and explained exactly how I could achieve the effect I wanted.

This is what I call customer service — not just a manager pointing down an aisle, but someone genuinely willing to assist and guide you when you're unsure. Demi is an absolute credit to the store.

Excellent Service, I went with a list of things to get and didn't have a clue where to start and found the most helpful person in your store. Can I please say a massive thank you to Lee R as he helped me get everything I needed and knew where everything was.

I recently visited the Wickes store in Minworth seeking advice on how to remove stubborn ivy stains from an exterior wall. I was fortunate to be assisted by Demi, whose customer service was nothing short of exceptional.

From the moment we spoke, Demi was friendly, attentive, and genuinely eager to help. She listened carefully to my situation and provided clear, knowledgeable advice tailored to the type of surface I was dealing with. Not only did she walk me through the right products for the job—such as suitable cleaning agents and tools—but she also explained how to use them effectively and safely.

What truly stood out was Demi’s professionalism and attention to detail. She went above and beyond to ensure I left with both the right products and the confidence to tackle the task. It’s rare to encounter someone who combines technical expertise with such a warm, customer-focused approach.

Thanks to Demi’s guidance, the job was a success—and much easier than I had anticipated.

Wickes is lucky to have such a dedicated and knowledgeable team member. I wouldn’t hesitate to return or recommend the store to others based on this experience alone.

I was struggling with my Wickes trade app, purely my fault I deleted it !!!
Demi took less than a minute to sort the app and then proceeded to help me with getting the timber I had gone for . S very helpful, smiling young lady . The store was surprisingly very clean

Really pleased with my recent visit to the Minworth store. Lee R helped me with some paint as I was having trouble finding the correct colour I needed.

My family and I have been in to see Mizan a few times in relation to our kitchens at our home and just wanted to thank him so much for all his help, he was professional, patient and very knowledgable and we just wanted to thank him very much for all his help whilst dealing with us! He answered any questions we asked and advised us when we were unsure about anything! Thank you so much Mizan! You’re a star!

Mizan from the minworth store helped me from design through to placing my order, was very precise with the design and helpful along the way to answer any questions I had. Would highly recommend to anybody looking for a good kitchen designer 😊

Our shower started dripping, and then running in mid October. It's under warranty. I have visited the branch and been told to email Customer Services - they always promise to respond in 72 working hours. I emailed them and emailed the complaints department repeatedly called Customer services - was told its under warranty - speak to the warranty team - but there's no phone number. I've emailed three times but the shower is constantly running - and I'm on a water meter with no way of isolating the shower.
It's now 24th November. Last week they sent us a replacement tap - despite being told 3 times that it's a shower, and sending photos and videos of the problem.
Nobody at Wickes has any idea about Customer Service, there's no way of escalating the complaint within Wickes. I would never buy anything from them again.
It is now 26th November, I have visited the store where they were only able to email the warranty team - again! I was told to email customer relations - but I had already done this on 4th November with no response. The shower is running much more every day and the bathroom is getting damp.
It's now 9th December - Wickes said they were sending out a new shower to arrive by 29th November... nothing has arrived

I would suggest no one’s to buy a kitchen from Wickes. We bought a kitchen from the Minworth Store.

I submitted the following complaints below around 3 weeks ago although I did have a response the same day. I suspect this is just to appear to be concerned on Trust Pilot since then I have not had any further feedback about how the investigation was going this is very poor customer service.

We needed to make a change from a double oven to single oven we had to wait nearly a week for It to unlock the account to make a change.

Then we needed to change one of the cabinets on the peninsular. To make it space for a floor standing washing machine again we had to wait around another week to IT to make the change.

Thirdly we had three glass cabinets sent which were smaller the original on design we were told that the ones we wanted were not available from Wickes so why were they available on the design this left a large gap above the cabinets we have been sent the material to correct this.

The when design consultant measured the room it was not accurate although all the literature and website states it will be measured accurately but the kitchen has large gaps against walls has left a a 25 cm gap on the far right and about 20cm on the left side. I raised the complaints with manager Bill Underhill who was rude and dismissive of my complaints .
He was trying to pass the blame inaccuracy on to our installer saying your fitters would not have continued with the job until the issues were resolved. As we started work on the kitchen on 9th September and it was now the beginning of November and we are now we had already been without a kitchen for around a nearly three months partly because of the delays so any further delays were not feasible.

We have found contacting our designer to be challenging to say the least I have made several calls early in the day but have not been able to speak to anyone until late in the day I have also made attempts to contact the designer via email but he is not particularly good at responding to his emails. We only received the complete design and drawings last Friday there had been changes made on previous designs that I was not aware of this has led to delays in fitting the kitchen.

We have also sent request by email for a carousel which was not added to the order. I have had to raise these complaints with at least three people but I have had to make all of the contact.

Finally when I try to complain to customer service I was referred back to the store as they said they had no training or access to correct systems. But as a large part the complaint was with the manager who didn’t listen to me he came phone was very rude. I have no confidence that my any of my complaints would be addressed with any impartiality if I were to raise the complaint again with the store . So trust pilot is my last resort.

We had a bathroom installed by Wickes in 2021 and the whole experience has been an absolute headache and 3 years later still is. I'm sure this will get removed, I have proof of purchase. We now have to get the toilet replaced because of the absolute cow boy work the plumber they provided did, the bath wasn't installed properly and caused water damage, the bathroom panel has yellowed and cracked, they refused to replace it and overall they've just been absolutely useless.

They cut the side of our toilet without telling us it would void the warranty to make it fit and absolutely bodged the entire job - 3 years later we are still resolving issues from the plumber THEY sent, and when we highlighted these issues DURING installation and after Wickes really were useless.

If there was any help from them, or even an apology they would be fine, but their customer service is awful.

Was looking in howdons for a kitchen did not see anything I liked and it was expensive .So I popped into to Wickes. When I asked a sale assistant for help they put me in the right direction and I ended buying a kitchen my wife loved it. I am very grateful to Ferlynn who then told me she did not work on the kitchen's department, she nneds sold me mine thank you Ferlynn

Helped out by a young girl called Elle in the Minworth store! Incredibly helpful and friendly, got my exactly what I wanted and even suggested some additional products that saved me another trip to the store, credit to the store!

I often use your branch a few times a week on average and most of the time I’m served by Ferlynn. She’s a always has a smile on her face, very helpful and a credit to your Minworth branch

Very friendly and helpful going the extra mile, would have given discount but wasn't possible which was a bit unfortunate though no regret of buying these tiles as we knew the price. Very good advice on the items thanks.

I came to my local minworth store to find our about the Wickes Community Programme. I spoke to very helpful Tasha who provided me with all the information and contact details I would need to help my Nursery. Looking forward to what they can provide for our outdoor play space, what a great scheme.
