Anthony Storey at Wickes Milton Keynes was fantastic throughout the design of my kitchen. He was extremely friendly, helpful and professional, and nothing was ever too much trouble. After knocking out a wall, some of the measurements changed slightly, and Anthony was more than happy to come out again to help resolve everything. His customer service was excellent throughout, and I’m absolutely delighted with my new kitchen. I would highly recommend Anthony to anyone!

I had a great experience with Wickes, particularly thanks to Antony (Milton Keynes Store), who handled our kitchen project from start to finish.

I was quite sceptical at the beginning, but Antony quickly put my mind at ease and made the whole process smooth, straightforward and stress-free. He was professional, helpful and well organised throughout, and everything was handled exceptionally well, including the project delivery.

I’m really happy with the final result and the overall experience. Antony is a real credit to Wickes, and I would happily recommend him to anyone planning a new kitchen.

Taryana - duty manager is the best at MK wicked. No one ever ask me for trade cards but she made one for me and really being very helpful. Very unusual at Wickes Milton Keynes .

Fantastic service visited today and asked staff member kian 100% great determination to help my find my product even grabbed it and met me at counter. 2 x 30 kg items says it all.
The manager Craig also amazing service could not of helped more.

⭐ Extremely disappointing customer service at Wickes Winterhill

I have been a customer of Wickes for many years, so I was extremely disappointed by my experience at the Winterhill branch.

On 30th September, I purchased a tin of Pure Cotton paint for my elderly grandfather. When I gave it to him and he opened it, we discovered that the paint inside the tub was actually a grey/blue colour, clearly not the colour I had purchased.

On 2nd October, I returned to the Winterhill branch with the paint and explained the situation to a member of staff at the till named Kim. Unfortunately, her attitude towards me was extremely rude from the outset. She told me that without a paper receipt there was nothing they could do and essentially made me feel as though the situation was my fault.

I asked to speak to a manager. Kim said that they may be able to exchange the paint, but then told me to move out of the way so she could serve another customer. She continued to speak to both myself and the other customer in a very rude and dismissive manner.

While I was waiting for the manager, I then heard Kim speak over the tannoy and say something along the lines of, “Oh, there’s definitely going to be an argument.” It was very clear to me that she was referring to me.

I challenged her and asked what she had just said. She initially tried to dismiss it, but I explained that I had given her absolutely no reason to suggest that there would be an argument. I told her how completely unprofessional I felt it was to discuss a customer in that manner, particularly while that customer was standing right there.

I have worked as a manager myself in several different environments, and never had I witnessed a member of my staff speak to me about a customer in that way, I would have considered it a very serious matter.

The manager eventually came over and told me there was nothing he could do. Unfortunately, his manner towards me also made me extremely uncomfortable. During the conversation, he approached me with his arms out and chest forward in a way that I perceived as confrontational and intimidating. At no point was I being aggressive or looking for an argument.

The whole experience was completely unnecessary and incredibly upsetting.

I have been a loyal Wickes customer for many years, and I have never experienced customer service this poor from the company. I understand that mistakes can happen with products, and I wasn’t expecting special treatment — I simply wanted the incorrect paint to be dealt with fairly and professionally.

Instead, I left the store feeling upset, embarrassed and intimidated.

Wickes, I genuinely hope this experience is taken seriously and that the conduct of the staff involved is reviewed. Customers should be treated with courtesy and respect, even when there is a disagreement over a receipt or return.

I would also like to add that I subsequently contacted the Bletchley branch and spoke to a lovely member of staff (I didn’t get her name) who was extremely helpful and understanding. She spoke to her managers and I returned to the store today, where the tin of paint was exchanged immediately and without any trouble whatsoever. The staff were very apologetic about the experience I had received, and I genuinely appreciate the way this was handled.

Thank you to the staff who took the time to listen, show understanding and resolve the situation professionally. This proves that the matter could have been handled calmly and respectfully from the very beginning.

However, I sincerely hope that the behaviour I experienced during my original visit is taken seriously and that the appropriate internal disciplinary action is considered where necessary. No customer should leave a store feeling intimidated, embarrassed or upset simply for trying to resolve an issue with a product.

Nathan was most helpful, welcoming & nothing was to much trouble. Shame he has moved store.

We recently purchased our kitchen from Wickes Milton Keynes and couldn’t be happier.

Anthony, our designer, was exceptional, offering creative options to maximise the space, including removing a wall, which transformed the result. He was always helpful and easy to contact.

Richard and his apprentice, Lewis, completed the installation in just two weeks. They worked hard, professionally and delivered our dream kitchen.

Everyone at Wickes was friendly and helpful. We highly recommend Anthony, Richard, Lewis and the entire Milton Keynes team.

Very helpful Tammy was very polite and friendly

I had a disappointing experience at the Knowhill store in Milton Keynes yesterday afternoon.

I was queueing behind another customer at a till. The young female cashier could clearly see that I was waiting, but she did not tell me to move to another till, even though it doesn't appeared that her till was closing . At the time, I assumed she was the only cashier available because other cashier was also busy checking something on the monitor.

After finishing the transaction with the customer in front of me, she simply walked away and left the store without saying anything to me or directing me to another till. I was left standing there for a couple of seconds, completely ignored, until another cashier called me over to his till and served me.

I understand that staff can have a bad day or may be finishing their shift, but a simple “This till is closing, please use the next till” would have avoided the whole situation. Ignoring a customer who is already waiting in the queue is not good customer service, in my opinion.

I don't know whether it was simply poor communication, an off day, or something else, and I don't want to make assumptions. However, regardless of the reason, the attitude and behaviour I experienced were disappointing and not what I would expect from someone serving the public.

Popped in, on the off chance hoping to ask a few questions about solar panels. The first person that approached me was a lovely young man called NATHAN.
He was very knowledgeable and even mentioned a few things l hadn't thought about.
From this short conversation l arranged a home visit, from that l have started the very easy process of having solar panels fitted.
The price was very competitive and the steps so far have been very smooth with every step of the way explained.
I can't thank NATHAN enough and wickes solar customer service.
I would definitely be letting my friends and family know where to go for solar panels.

I had to go in to the store in mk for some fencing and wasn't sure what I needed so I asked one of the store members and approached a lovely smiley lady called Rachel I believe who gave me so much advice about the job that I bought everything I needed straight away!
Very happy with the advice and customer service given.

Wickes was the first place we went to and we didn’t need to go anywhere else.

I have been a loyal Wickes customer for over 30 years, but my recent experience has been a masterclass in appalling customer service. I needed a light item weighing only a couple of pounds, but because it was out of stock at my local branch, I was forced to order it for home delivery—nearly doubling the item's cost with an extra £5 delivery charge. The store guaranteed delivery for Monday, 3rd August, explicitly telling me I had to stay home to sign for it. I stayed in all day; the item never arrived, and I received no updates. When I chased their online team, an agent assured me the delivery would now happen on Wednesday, 5th August. For a second time, I stayed in, and for a second time, Wickes completely failed to deliver. The package finally arrived a week late on Monday, 10th August.
Resolving this required a tedious five-stage email trail and online chat loop with their Customer Services and Executive Complaints teams, where they showed zero accountability:
Email 1 (My Initial Complaint - 6th Aug): I reached out to details my frustration regarding the two missed days of business productivity and the conflicting delivery instructions.
Email 2 (Support Response - 11th Aug): A customer service agent sent a generic apology, brushed past the failed commitments, and casually noted that since the item arrived on the 10th, the case was essentially resolved. They even claimed their system only ever showed the 10th as the scheduled date, completely invalidating what I was told.
Email 3 (My Escalation - 11th Aug): Disgusted by the dismissal, I formally escalated the matter to the Executive Complaint Representative / CFO, demanding a refund of the delivery fee and a gesture of goodwill for my wasted business time.
Email 4 (Support Pushback - 12th Aug): The support team emailed me back, flatly refusing a delivery refund or any form of compensation because the item had ultimately been delivered. They shockingly deflected all blame, telling me they have no access to online chat logs and that I needed to manually go back and argue with the local store where I placed the order.
Email 5 (My Final Reply - 12th Aug): I sent my final response to inform them that their total refusal to take ownership of an internal central customer service failure is unacceptable, and that I would let other prospective consumers judge their reliability on Trustpilot.

Competitors like Screwfix and Toolstation provide reliable, free next-day store delivery without the headache. Wickes has made it crystal clear that they do not value long-standing customer loyalty or basic business accountability.

Yesterday I received an email and calls from senior Wickes management where I received a sincere apology and compensation for the poor experience.

The young assistant on the shop floor of the Winterhill branch was helpful and friendly. But when I got to the till the young blonde girl was very rude. She told me move to this till over there and didn’t say please. After I paid she said “there you go” and not thank you or have a nice evening.

I would like to highly recommend Scott Grossman, who designed our bathroom and toilet. I rarely leave reviews, but Scott provided truly exceptional service throughout our project. He was friendly, professional, responsive, and always willing to help, returning calls promptly whenever needed. His positive attitude and commitment made what seemed impossible, possible, and the entire project ran smoothly because of his support. Scott is an outstanding designer and customer representative. If you have the opportunity to work with him, you’ll be in excellent hands. Thank you, Scott, and I wish you every success.

We had Nathan come round to measure up for the prospective kitchen. He was lovely and easy to chat to about all we liked and wanted and were open to. Really easy experience and highly recommended

We were advised on all options and designs without pressure to break the bank by Sarah. Quality kitchen and appliances, kept regularly informed of the status of our design of kitchen and delivery. Met Andrew James who talked us through and was professional in installing and it was very hot but didn't affect the build and decorating. Would use them again.
