Wickes - Colchester Arvostelua

If you are considering buying a Kitchen, the showroom and sales team are pretty good. The delivery service and aftersales is horrific. We have now been without a Kitchen for nearly 2 months with no finished Kitchen in sight. we should’ve listened to tradesmen who recommend going to Howden‘s and other Kitchen retailers. We hope that this review will help others to make a decision if they choose to change their Kitchen.

We were met in store when looking at kitchens by Andrew Lovlee who was helpful and professional. There were a huge range of options to consider and helpful advice was given at each stage including things we had not considered. Plans were clear and any ideas we had were used as a starting point and incorporated well.

Very helpfull staff got what I was looking
Very quickly,

Great Burger van also lovely food , probably best in Colchester
Great staff also 👌

Excellent service received from the Colchester store team, staff are always ready to help with a smile.
Thank you

The salesperson in the shop was very helpful and informative. She took the time to go through all the options with us and arranged an appointment for a member of the design team to visit, take measurements, and discuss whether we should proceed with a full refurbishment or simply purchase the products.

However, on the day of the appointment, a member of the design team called and asked about our budget. When we explained that our budget was less than £10,000 per bathroom, he did not seem particularly interested in proceeding, and the appointment never went ahead.

Based on my experience, unless your budget is at a level they consider worthwhile, there seems to be little value in speaking with the design team. The service in the shop was very good, but the follow-up experience was disappointing.

Excellent service received from AJ at the Colchester branch.

AJ was our bathroom designer he was extremely friendly, polite, very experienced, knowledgeable , helpful and able to offer us various ideas and choices .

We stepped into Wickes very confused at all of the options suggested by local tradesmen.

AJ didn’t rush us at all ,gave us the time and information we needed and we felt totally at ease throughout the process.

We used the Wickes installation team .
Jason refurbished/refitted our bathroom and was an absolute delight to have him work in our home and has carried out an amazing job.
We are extremely happy with the service and end result.
Thank you Wickes.

Thank you so much to staff on the shift today in Colchester Wicks. The manager Renato was great and supported us to exchange our items. Colchester service was superb and staff were very helpful. We are very thankful, that's why we are regular customers.

Met AJ Thomas for our bathroom planning. He was so helpful and knowledgeable. He suggested ways our ideas would work and offered alternatives which actually proved better. He didn't try hard selling anything which was welcome. Fantastic service, so far.

I had a fantastic experience with Gavin Hickmott at Wickes. He came out to our home the very same day to help with our cloakroom project, which was incredibly helpful and much appreciated.

Gavin was friendly, professional and exceptionally knowledgeable. He took the time to listen to what we wanted, offered brilliant ideas and practical suggestions we hadn't even considered, and guided us through every step of the process. His expertise gave us complete confidence in our choices.

With Gavin's help, we've now purchased everything we need for the project, and that's entirely down to his excellent advice and customer service. Nothing was too much trouble, and we never felt rushed.

Gavin is a real credit to Wickes, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone planning a new bathroom or cloakroom. Thank you again for such outstanding service!

Had my home visit by James Clark from the Colchester branch. Polite, professional and knows what he is doing. Came up with good designs, followed up with a meeting in store to finalise the details which was just as efficient. Had some good tips too as I am installing the kitchen myself. Highly recommend Wickes kitchens and talking to James

Kitchen design consultation with James Clark was extremely constructive and helpful. James listened to and understood our brief, suggested alternatives where appropriate and left us confident in the design, product and service.

James Clake was an excelent planer his wealth of fitting experiance really shone through with his practical advice
and eye for a good design. Thanks James

John McCormick was fabulous. Could not do enough. The installation went really well. Impressed how they cleaned up every day. Also refunded tiles that were left over

We were determined to walk out with a complete bathroom design and plan of action and that’s exactly what we did. James was very knowledgeable and advised what would work best for our space.

Outstanding service from Andrew at the Colchester branch

The designer took notice of all our requirements and gave helpful advise when choosing units and fittings. The installer was able to deal with all the issues that were encountered in a professional manner

Needed a new kitchen when I moved home and had sourced various ones before deciding on Wickes.
Home consultation and in store at Colchester with James Clark, design consultant, was beneficial.
Very helpful and patient with planning and choosing accessories. Any questions I had were answered and customer service was very good.
Very pleased with my Chester Reed Green kitchen.

AJ was really switched on to what look and result we wanted and really took the brief as well as thought out of the box for great solutions. He was great! Our only quibble was the cost of installing as will have blank canvas to work in as bathroom being built to first fix so all pipes and electrics will be there ready no ripping out old stuff . A little disappointing they don’t discount for that part .

Very good experience. Andrew Lovlee provided excellent customer service.
He was very friendly and professional a credit to your company

Extremely pleased with our new kitchen from Wickes. James Clark was excellent helping us design our kitchen and the installation team of Darren Watts were polite and extremely hard working, especially during an extreme May heatwave. Project managers checked in on the installation team and there were several follow up calls at the end to confirm we were happy with the result. I definitely recommend Wickes for a kitchen.
