Just ordered a bathroom suit plus wet wall pannels from wickes in Chesterfield and was really pleased with the help we received fron Sandy Bownes,who was very knowledgeable off the products and the amount we would need.

Sandra Bownes at Wickes Chesterfield is absolutely excellent. We sought advice via email about replacing a Wickes toilet seat and received an immediate reply from Sandra with two products which would meet our needs. She was very helpful when we replaced our bathroom, en suite and downstairs cloakroom, giving good advice and supervising the installation process.

The Design process was very easy. Sandra Bownes at Chesterfield was very helpful, knowledgable and competent. She was able to answer our questions and responded quickly to follow up emails. Hoping the install goes just as well!

We are having a new bathroom installed, and from the moment we met Sandy Bownes she was incredibly helpful. She came out to measure everything, explained all the different options, and showed us exactly what we would be having and how it would look once finished. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole process easy to understand. We were very impressed with her service and would definitely recommend her.

Called in for some paint at the Chesterfield branch. The colour chart provided was most useful. Turned out the shade I wanted was from a special range not stocked in store. Ian on the help desk was brilliant, patient and went above and beyond to answer my questions and assist me. He ended up ordering it online for next day delivery to my house and provided some excellent advice

I visited in late May 2026, Ian was really helpful and patient throughout. Really excellent.

We had bought a garden fork from the Chesterfield store as a gift for someone but it turned out that it wasn't needed. A little while had passed since buying it so we spoke to customer services to ask if we could still return it. They spoke to Chloe at the Chesterfield store who said it would be okay to take it back if it was still in its 'as bought' condition, which was the case. It was a few more days before we could get back to the store. We met up with Chloe who was immediately pleasant and helpful. Having checked the garden fork she efficiently processed a refund back onto the credit card that we had used to buy it. All round a very good and professional service. Thank you.

I visited Wickes Chesterfield on 15 May 2026 to pick up some paint, and I had a really great experience. The store was clean, well organised, and easy to navigate, which made finding what I needed quick and straightforward.
The range of paint available was excellent, with plenty of options to choose from at competitive prices. The staff were friendly and approachable, and although I knew what I needed, it was reassuring to see they were available and happy to help if required—something many customers consistently highlight about this store.
Checkout was smooth with no long queues, and overall the visit was efficient and stress-free. I’ll definitely be returning for future DIY supplies and would happily recommend Wickes Chesterfield to others.

We had such a fantastic experience at Wickes Chesterfield and couldn’t recommend them highly enough.
From the moment we arrived, the team were incredibly friendly, welcoming and genuinely helpful. A special thank you to Sarah, who truly went above and beyond while helping us mix paints for our little boy’s Thomas the Tank Engine themed bedroom. She took the time to get everything just right and made the whole experience really enjoyable.
What really stood out was how warm and engaging she was with our son – chatting with him about his new bedroom and his love of trains. It made the visit feel really personal and special, not just a quick transaction.
Nothing felt like too much trouble, and the level of customer service was outstanding. We’ll definitely be coming back for future projects.

Lesley came out to the wrong address after I had called the shop to correct the details. She struggled to take measurements and seemed disinterested for the 10 minutes she stayed. I will be using another company.

Had someone come out to measure my flat for a new kitchen and bathroom and haven’t heard from them since , it’s been over 3 months. Ridiculous

Dwain Griffin arrived promptly. He measured up, drew a rectangle (said to represent our kitchen.) He promised the plans in 48hrs. max. It has been 7 months and we have heard nothing! Worst service imaginable.

Ian was really helpful I was being very particular about the paint I wanted and he helped us throughout our visit to wikes, we painted the walls today and the colour was exactly what I wanted!
