Wickes - Canning Town Arvostelua 

I had a really good experience at Wickes (Canning Town). The customer service assistant Akib at the till and the manager Oliur were really helpful. The store was nice and tidy and they were ready to help and their behaviour was engaging and supportive. I will highly recommend this branch.

We had ordered the incorrect size garden slabs so had to cancel our order. Dan and Olly were absolutely amazing with their customer service! Our order was cancelled and a reorder was made without any hassle. Dan suggested signing up for an account which we did and got a discount! Dan's the man! So calm, polite znd professional. We will be returning.

Akib served us today, fantastic customer service. Would recommend coming here again.

I had a poor experience with returning an online order that was a cancelled return delivery. Therefore was able to return in person because the chap there was very helpful. Perhaps Wicked needs to change their general return policies and ease of returns. .

I made an order and this all arrived with notification and was timely which was great. However I needed to return the order and reorder another size. This was organised by phone for a delivery between 0700 and 1900 with email confirmation. However this did not occur. I have had problems getting hold of anyone to get the items (which are heavy) picked up. It is a huge task for working people to ensure someone is in 12 hours in the day. Customer services helpful but Canning Town branch cancelled the return without notification and could not be contacted. Also I could not be guaranteed that someone will help take the heavy objects from my car to the store!!

Making changes to my flat and as a first time buyer, I have no idea what I'm doing or what I need. Oliur asked me loads of questions, gave me options and went out of his way to understand my needs and help

Really appreciated all the help from Ollie in the canning town branch. He went above and beyond to help me with a refund when I've had issues with another store (Tottenham). If it were not for Ollie Wickes would have got 1* for the design service (which was at Tottenham) which I would caution against (missing stuff from the order, then being ghosted when you try to sort it over the phone, promises you'll be called back and they never do, and poor communication in general) but appreciated the help from Ollie when I went into the store. Then he actually called me back when he said he would.

My experience of Wickes is I would caution against going through design service at Tottenham (not sure about other stores), at least for bathrooms (not sure about kitchen but can't see how it would be any different) because once the design is finalised and delivered it's very difficult to sort out any issues and to be honest for a number of reasons it's been a nightmare.
Here's what happened
- bath was missing a leg - 3 out of 4 came and hard to find a replacement
- toilet cistern was left off the order
- units sent with no worktop
- sent the wrong sink - not the one I ordered
- sent only 1 end panel for the units when I needed 2 (1 for each end...)

If you want to order from wickes I would suggest ordering all your own stuff so you can ensure it's all there (as the customer service/delivery service is actually good - you get a slot and they call you beforehand etc). But I would caution against the design service. Part of the issue is that there is no dedicated customer service in the store for any issues that crop up and the design staff are already overworked and don't actually have time to help with troubleshooting once they've dealt with you as a new customer. Then if you keep calling and hassling they eventually ghost you. You can go into the store physically which can be effective but that's obviously very time consuming especially if the store is far away/don't have a car/you work etc etc.

I visited the Canning Town branch today on a very tight schedule with an Uber waiting outside. I was blown away by the initiative of the security staff - his name was Febieu. Despite it not being his primary role, Febieu stepped in immediately to help me locate almost everything on my list. He then seamlessly coordinated with another colleague on the floor to find my final item.

To top it off, when I was worried about the checkout queue and my waiting taxi, the same security guard, Febiue, took the initiative to explain the situation to the other customers. Thanks to his kindness—and the generosity of the other shoppers—I was able to get to the front of the queue and away on time.

Febiue even politely declined a tip, suggesting a review instead - that's when I was given his name. This is easily the best customer service experience I’ve had in a long time. Febiue turned a stressful, rushed trip into a seamless one - and he deserves special recognition for that.
