Wickes - Bury St Edmunds Arvostelua 

Lack of communication from Bury St Edmunds store, Design Consultant and manager. Emails from manager stating he will phone you between certain times and doesn't to resolve a complaint. The complaint team followed items up only to be let down by the store. A new store in a new town I thought would want to improve business not drive it away. I feel Wickes don't take customer service or complaints seriously.

Great new store. Always so clean and tidy. Staff on hand and happy to help as needed with my enquiries.

Jasmine at the Bury St Edmunds store has been so helpful to me. I am working on a Community project in the Town, to recognise Suffolk Day 2026, building scarecrows of famous people and Wickes have kindly donated some materials to help us make the project possible. They were the first company to say yes (that makes a HUGE difference to me as the no replies were tough) ) and have been so enthusiastic and contactable. We are working with vulnerable community groups and so its wonderful to see the new store giving something back to help the Community. THANK YOU Jasmine from Michelle at the crafty foxes

Thomas was great, listened to what we wanted in our new kitchen, working off plans for extension.

I needed some touch up paint for my kitchen cupboards as the company that supplied them said that they had discontinued that particular colour.
I went into Wickes at Bury St Edmunds and a lovely young man named Josh mixed the colour for me, he was very polite, friendly and extremely helpful a credit to the Company.

We went in today to purchase some wood and found a very helpful young man called Robbie who not only opened a new pack of wood but also helped us select the pieces we needed he also carried them out to the car and loaded them . This was so helpful as my husband is disabled so it was so nice to experience good customer service. We usually go to the Stowmarket Branch but we will definitely come back to Bury St Edmunds in future. Thank you Robbie for a very pleasant experience 😊.

Both myself and a friend have recently been looking for products in this store.
Found a gentleman to ask who, I think, was a manager.
Both of us, at different times, have found him to be rude, uninterested, and unhelpful.
It is a shame as my husband and I had a kitchen from Wickes in 2013, and bathroom in mid 2020 (all COVID protocols followed) and we were very happy. On buying the kitchen we were told all parts are stocked for 15 years. They quite clearly are not.
With the experience we've had at this store, and generally looking at other stores sadly, it seems, Wickes are both the excellent DIY store that they were.

Designer Tom made the experience straight forward and simple, was patient whilst we decided on what we wanted and accommodated our requests. Very happy , great service

I came in today for flooring and tilling and was heavily pregnant so one of the workers, Robbie, offered to get me a trolly and load all of the items I needed and also loaded them all into the car for me. He was very patient & so helpful.

I meet with Tom Stephenson, who took his time and showed his experience, as we wanted a replacement worktop.
At all times he was polite and ensured that product meet our requirement.
Unless B & Q at Bury St Edmunds who didn't show any commitment at all.

The whole experience was great from start to finish, I have a couple of rentals and needed a new kitchen. Megan at the BSE store was excellent, helped me with the design, would 100% recommend, we purchased the Ohio kitchen, absolutely brilliant, easy to put together, great look and excellent value for money!

Rob has been a great advisor and designer, Thank you Rob! He visited my house and this really added to the ideas he had and my final decision on my new kitchen. Another company I considered use different people to survey and design which doesn’t work quite as well.

Josh at Bury St Edmunds displayed excellent customer intimacy skills. I came in with a Dulux Tester from Homebase (remember them?) of 2020 that I was really keen to get mixed to use in a room I am decorating. He understood the Dulux colour mixing system and its capabilities intimately, quickly found in its database the colour I was looking for based on its historic reference. Most importantly Josh took the time to interact with me through the whole process and zi now have 5 litres of Dulux Spring Breeze 4 Matt ready to apply. As a retired Aerospace Engineer who spent a considerable portion of his career in customer service solutions, I judge Josh to be well up there with best I have worked with.

I needed a pot of paint mixing up, and although there was no one at the unit, the checkout assistant called for a colleague who arrived within a minute or so.
I shared my requirements with Josh who quickly found my colour requirements, showed me my tin size options and then mixed my paint, while helpfully and professionally dealt with two consecutive customer questions.
Checkout at the till was a little slower, but the assistant apologised for the delay.
First time I have visited Wickes since it opened, and overall a positive experience.

Robert made out shopping experience a good one , his honesty, professionalism and knowledge of products helped us to choose a bathroom that is going to look amazing, he was so polite and a credit to the store, I have popped in to discuss small changes, again Robert was very accommodating.

We purchased our kitchen with the help of Rob - he’s been amazing from start to finish and we cannot recommend him enough. So professional, efficient and had a genuine interest to make sure the kitchen was right for us. We fit the kitchen ourselves and Rob was always on hand to help answer any questions we had. He made the effort to come to our home twice to measure up and make sure everything was just right. We’re so happy with our new kitchen and can’t thank Robert enough. 🤩
