Wickes - Bexhill Arvostelua 

Emma at Bexhill was amazing!
After a disastrous leak in our bathroom we had to rip the whole room out! As it is our only bathroom time was of the essence and to save time I went to Wicks Bexhill on a Saturday to get the majority of the materials so my builder could start first thing on the Monday morning! I found myself with a list in my hand written by a builder that may as well have been written in Chinese. He said to me “don’t worry just go in there and give it to someone and they’ll know what to get”. I may add… it was a BIG list! So I went in and with my two children in tow went to look for someone. We found a guy who took one look (with wide eyes) at the list and said “I’ll go get Emma for you” “she’ll know what to do”! In steps Emma confidently and precise who marched us up and down the store grabbing everything on the list and adding it all to the three large trolleys and one small basket! She even took us through a separate till to manage it all herself and then even helped us out to the van with it all. Thank you Emma! I hope your branch look after you as much as you look after them. This morning we came into store looking for paint for my wooden project. Connor served me and was able to point me in the right direction. We didn’t know what paint we could use but Chloe helped us and assured us we could get the colours we wanted using the paint machine. Excellent service and would recommend for anyone who is unsure like we were

Vicky was very helpful and friendly. She measured and designed us a kitchen which gave a very personal service and great design.

A staff member called Dave was really great - went round the store with me to find all the things I needed so I wasn't wandering around for ages. Also, I noted that unlike a rival chain, they actually carried a lot of stock in-store that doesn't have to be pre-ordered as click and collect, and pricing is good on basics - fence-post caps were only £1.60 each, a lot cheaper than elsewhere.

Went into Wickes as needed a couple of new doors around the house. Couldn't decide which ones were best for me so went to the front counter and a helpful gentleman called Steve helped advise on what doors are suited to what situations. The doors I liked where not available in the store, so he helped me through the online service on my phone to place and order for some doors.
Very helpful young man, appreciate the time took to help me. Thank you Steve.

I went and saw Kylie Young in Bexhill with some plans I had elsewhere as other companies couldn’t work out a solution which fitted with what I wanted and she was kind and welcoming to the moment I walked in. She came up with clever solutions for what I was visualising that worked with the flow of how I worked. She even offered to come out to check measure and bring samples of what I wanted so I could see it in my own setting. She really went above and beyond

Popped in today for some advice about fencing materials, getting myself ready for the summer and doing the garden up!
Steve and Paul were really helpful in advising me on the best way to go about what I needed. Honest advice, from 2 honest people that wanted to help people and not just get as much money as they can out of you.
If you are ever in the area and need advice, ask for Steve or Paul, top blokes! 👍

When I first visited the store in Bexhill, Kylie Young was friendly and helpful, but not pushy. She visited my home as arranged and made some useful suggestions. Following the home visit she sent me a couple of kitchen design options the following day. She altered these when I had second thoughts and sent me updated design options without delay. After a further vist to the store, Kylie took her time showing me different fittings, clearly answering my queries. At no time did I feel pushed into buying something and Kylie ensured she kept to my budget, but met my needs.

I popped into wickes with my wife last Monday to get some shed felt from the building aisle. I struggled slightly due to my age, I was offered help by a young man called Steve who helped me carry it back to my car. This was much appreciated thank you.

Today we went to get a new kitchen and we were very lucky to meet Andy the kitchen designer who assisted us through every style and price and quality of all we liked and with his professional help and courteous attitude and expertise and friendly actions we found the desired kitchen and through his beautiful professional design he showed us the complete look of the kitchen when finished which we really did like and Andy made the whole process very pleasant and without stress can't recommend him enough great person and lucky is anyone who deals with him thank you Andy,need to say Andy works in the Bexhill store😊👍

Vicky was very helpful and friendly and tried to find solutions to meet the criteria and layout of the kitchen.

Had a trip to my local Wickes store this week to purchase some paint for a paint project and was welcomed by a a lovely polite gentleman called Steve, he was very knowledgeable and I managed to get all the bits I needed. Definitely would use and recommend wickes again.

My forest school willows had recently been in touch with wickes in Bexhill regarding there community programme. I went into the store and spoke with the manager David who was very friendly and couldn't wait to help with my project plans!

I explained I needed shed for resources and if possible, some tools to help make my forest school safe and secure for the little ones. David was very quick in his response over email and hand delivered the tools himself, the shed took a little longer to arrive as we had the Christmas period in between all of this and was swiftly delivered on the 9th of January. Overall, incredibly pleased with the community programme and would highly recommend any schools, nurseries, and community projects to get in touch.

My bathroom and toilet installation has been left unaccomplished and ignored.
Work started on 28 oct 2024, and had to be stopped on 13 Nov 2025 while tile-work in the bathroom was being done with no care and no worknmanship or work ethics at all.
Now the tiles are falling apart. They are, by the way, 60 by 60 big porcelains!! We were told that the work would resume by the second week into January 2025. But there is no adequate info and updates about the reinstallation work to go on.
We family of 5, including our 3 under-14 kids, has been left with no bathroom and flushable toilet ever since.
Can the Authority answer and act ASAP?
Almost £5000 has been already spent off though this is financed contract signed on 4 September 2024.
Does Wickes practise and work as per its ‘professional commitment and standards’ at all?
The designer consultant, the customer coordinator, the sub-contractor accredited for the designated work and responsibilities are treating their customer absolutely irresponsibly and unethically.
My question to the Wickes Concerned authority, here, is “what would you do if you were in my position”.
Does Wickes value its consumers as per the CONSUMER RIGHTS ACT 2015??
We don’t know what to do.
Please, address this problem, rectify it and resolve it. Customers want their VALUE FOR MONEY and QUALITY for the products and services they purchase.

The process of designing the kitchen was swift and simple. Modifications were made along the way and George, the designer, was very accommodating.

We met with George Masterton to design the kitchen for our new home. He was very patient, knowledgeable, created a great design and saved us money. George you are a star.

We had Jon Heys from Wickes Bexhill come over to see the existing kitchen and advise what we could consider as a refurbishment. He measured and went away to prepare a plan. He was excellent at what he planned and we were able to have everything we wanted applied. If the fitting is as good we will be very happy customers.

From first meeting Jon in the kitchen and bathroom showroom we were treated so well. He had time to spend with us explaining kitchen design and products available. His patience was very welcome as was his knowledge. He is a true professional and came up with a kitchen design for us which ticked all our boxes. If everything goes according to plan with the installation then we will be very very happy !! …if every business had an employee like Jon then large projects like a new kitchen would be a walk in the park !
