White Dove ŠKODA Arvostelua 31

Just bought our Skoda Octavia estate from White Dove Skoda in Cardiff. We found the staff to be very helpful and knowledgeable, in particular Paul Morgan who we dealt with.

If I could leave a zero star review that would be more accurate my 2 year old car was towed to white dove dralership with an electrical fault. They are unable to even look at my car for 2 to 3 months and are refusing to provide a courtesy car to a community nurse.
The attitude is you didn't buy it here (lease car) so not their problem

I recently purchased a car from this dealership. The last who dealt with my purchase, Emily, was amazing! I have never had such amazing customer service and I am so please with the car and the way Emily dealt with my purchase. I would 100% recommend this dealership.

After a year of purchasing my vehicle, it started to breakdown. It took 3 months for White Dove to repair it. The customer service has been shocking. I have been told that the relationship between us has broken down because I have asked for certain documents from them and because I had to ask for the fuel used (170 miles worth) when they test drove the vehicle to be replenished. I have never been treated so poorly or spoken to the way that I have been. I have spent so much time chasing them and I have been made to feel like I am to blame for their incompetency.

Lloyd Green ( Cardiff White dove )sorted our problem out within half an hour , so appreciated his help, nothing was too much trouble, after a very stressful previous day, left feeling so relieved. thank you Lloyd.

Il be fair, me and my misses went in to change the car earlier last month, when we first got there everyone seemed very welcoming and happy to help but this soon changed after we collected the car! So before we collected the car we paid £80 to take the private number plates off our original car, This did not happen we were told the old ones have been thrown away and so they re-printed new plates that was not spaced correctly. We also agreed that the private number plates would come off the old vehicle and the number plate holders, we also did not receive these. If the number plates were not sentimental we wouldn't mind but they really are! But no one seems to care! After this i probably wont trust them again! Or if you do just be careful or do them yourself!!

When I first entered the showroom I was me by a receptionist who introduced me to Richard Mills or Salesman.

He was vey thorough listened to my needs and then recommended the Enyaq.

What a great car it's got has everything you could imagine.

So after purchasing the car ive had a call From Richard a few days later to make sure i was happy with everything.

Overall I'm very impressed with the sales and aftersales service so far!

I would highly recommend]d this dealer and in particular Richard.

We’ve had numerous issues with this garage and yet another… the car has been back on at least four separate occasions for an engine fault which appeared after its first MOT and service, which they couldn’t find and kept just resetting the engine warning light so it went away.

Picked up the car from its MOT this weekend to find that our arm rest has been snapped off. We are being blamed for this, however, they did not report any existing damage about the car. Surely it’s common sense that if you were working on a car with a severe pre-existing damaged element, you would report this to protect yourself.

Being presented with excuses such as the technician isn’t a strong man, they don’t use force, he wouldn’t need to move the arm rest; an absolute load of waffle and just clutching at straws.

This arm rest would cost £100 to replace yet they’d rather spend time arguing over it, accusing us of breaking it and suggesting we are liars. maybe they’ve got the time because no one wants to buy cars from them because of their awful service?

Yet again, just with the engine, the garage like to gaslight you by saying it must be our fault as their technicians and garage are so amazing, which couldn’t be further from the truth. Literally everytime we have left this garage we have had an issue.

The staff are very argumentative too. Rather than working with you to find a solution, they become rather defensive and make up the most absurd excuses.. maybe they’re experts on this because they have to do it so often.

Absolute joke of a garage.

Mark and the team were very friendly and helpful when I bought our car with White Dove.

Purchased my ŠKODA on finance in November 2024. Sales person was quite cold and uninterested until it became apparent I was going to buy the vehicle.
Finance agreement comes through for me to electronically sign and thank goodness I checked it thoroughly as several hundred pounds for paint protection had been added in without my consent or knowledge - it hadn’t even been discussed!! I called up to highlight this and fortunately it was sorted quickly but without apology.
I was informed the car would be serviced before I bought it but was given no information on this whatsoever. No log book provided either.
I still don’t have the above information.

I would give zero stars if this was an option. After sales appalling service. Never answer the phone. Never call you back. The only person that seems to be able to deal with anything is always conveniently in a meeting
Been messed around for 4 months with car in for electrical fault which they still can't resolve. Twice they've tried giving the car back to me saying it's fixed and it wasn't. Literally a joke there. Problem still not resolved.. if you want any aftercare repairs I advise to AVOID.

**Update** White Dove have now relisted the car they cancelled the sale on at £2,000 more than they originally agreed with us, poor business practice so will be taking legal and consumer advice.

We agreed to purchase a lovely black 21 plate Seat Leon 1.0 TSI EVO SE Dynamic from White Dove Seat for my son and agreed for some issues to be fixed including a faulty parking sensor, while this work was being done and a day before our collection, White Dove contacted us to say the car was found to have damage serious enough so they can no longer sell us the car and we had no option other than a refund.

I find it unusual that we test drove the car with no issues found apart from the parking sensor, this serious damage was only found a day before collection although the car had been in the body shop and service having other work done for about a week, I will also add that the price it was advertised and agreed (we paid the full asking price and did not even negotiate due to it already being a very good price) was around £2,000 less than other dealers for a similar vehicle.

So was the issue known and this is why the price was so low ? or did White Dove misprice and then decided they no longer wanted to honor the price ? or was this a genuine major issue that they did not know about until a day before collection ? you can make you own judgement but either way my son is very disappointed with this last minute cancellation.

Overall White Dove sales and management team could have done much better in the way they communicated with us and did not really offer any assistance or support to find an alternate car for my son, or even another resolution such as possibly repairing so the sale could continue, they just wanted to refund as quickly as possible and walk away leaving us with no car, we now are having to look at paying over £2,000 more for a similar replacement car through no fault of our own.

Not really the type of customer service I expect from a respected main dealer and certainly no way to build customer loyalty however this review is based on our experience and specific circumstances.

Emily! She made the whole experience simple, painless, no drama and everything flowed perfectly. White Dove is a great place for buying a car and I would recommend them every time. From the ordering process right down to after care. There is no one who won’t help. If they don’t have the answer right away they get the answer to any of your queries.
I’ve just had my 3rd car from them and I am loving that I know how easy the whole process is.

White Dove Skoda were found through Autotrader. They had a couple of cars I thought would suit our needs.
Initial contact was made by phone, Aled called me back with the answers.
Next day we visited, and were met with a friendly professional attitude. Nothing was too much trouble, even my multitude of questions. A great price for my part exchange and a lovely car at the right price.
Long story, short, we bought a lovely Octavia.
Next week, a couple of issues had raised their head. Emailed Saturday, the response was received first thing Monday morning. Perfect reply.
Car booked in, all sorted in one visit, courtesy car supplied.
Would I recommend White Dove Skoda?
100%, I would.
Aled was great initially, so patient and professional.
Craig (and the young lady, sorry we didn't catch your name) for the after sales, continued that experience, explaining the issue and providing reassurance. I already knew most of the answers, (typical bloke!) from a source at another Skoda dealer with whom I have a long standing professional relationship, but it was refreshing to be told the truth with no flannel.

I would not even give this garage 1 star but unfortunately it was needed to be able to leave a review. I would warn against doing business with them, a complete waste of time and effort as they did not honour their signed order form despite us having paid a deposit of £879. We travelled to Cardiff having seen a Suzuki car advertised, agreed price and signed contract. Two days later I was informed that there had been an error in the price and that although valued by Carwow at less than the price we had agreed upon, they wouldn’t let us have it unless we paid another £3k. We pointed out that legally they couldn’t change our contract to which they replied that they could rely upon “E&Eo” stamped on the bottom of the contract. Our choice was a protracted legal battle or buying elsewhere. We chose the latter and subsequently had an amazingly good experience with Arnold Clark. Best decision we could have made. Wouldn’t want any further dealings with this garage. The deposit was refunded but you have been warned.
