Wheelbase - Darlington Arvostelua 14

My first time using wheelbase and won’t be the last. After the chain snapped on my bike and was unable to get it looked at elsewhere. I tried my luck when passing by. The member off staff that assisted me was brilliant. Came out looked at the bike and said he could do it straight away for me. ( usually would need an appointment, I got lucky it was towards the end of the day ) within 15 minutes the job was completed. Thanks again much appreciated.

This review relates to the workshop only, sales is fine.

We took a bike in for some work to be carried out, this was done promptly. When picked up the mechanic was very dismissive of our concerns and patronising in his manner. When asked for guidance he insinuated that the problem was us and not the bike.

We have been cyclist for many years, the problem was definitely the bike, but he wouldn't listen.

Have been put off returning after being a customer for many years.

So easy to order from, Staff friendly and helpful, delivery so fast and on time

Have been a customer of Wheelbase for many years but in particular the last six years. Purchased 3 bikes and multiple components accessories & clothing. In terms of mechanical service absolutely first class and in terms of product offering it’s always been very good but continues to get better every year. Overall service and friendly staff has always been the shops stand out attribute in my view. What more can I say other than highly recommended in all aspects!

Excellent customer service and a great job fixing my bike. They charged me £89, the fist bike shop I took it to quoted me £350!!
So if you need a good reliable bike shop wheelbase Darlington is the one to go to 👍👍

Hats off to the staff at wheelbase , we waited a bit of a while for the bike but the staff kept chasing the order and updating as and when needed , picked up the whyte e180 tax today and we’re over the moon. Thanks everyone and hopefully the after service is as sweet !!!

Bought a Santa Cruz Bullit from overseas. Within 30miles the motor went into limp mode.

I contacted the local Shimano service centre and dropped the bike off and they honoured the warranty even though it was bought from Italy.

The workshop quickly made space and squeezed me in throughout an extremely busy period for them.

The motor was a fault they'd never seen before. They quickly sent the motor off to Maddison and within a week the bike had a new motor and was returned to me.

The motor sounds amazingly quiet compared to the previous one but I'm yet to put it through its paces.

Thanks guys for a great service. I'm looking forward to getting out on Saturday!

I live in Chester le street and I have found that most …E-bike Servicing can cost a lot ! You know the routine when you take an e-bike in for a service’ the person doing the job is all smiles 😁 yet when the time to paying the bill its a case of head-scratching and with a sharp intake of breath you receive the expensive news I’m pleased to say that with the wheelbase Crew what you see is what you get ! Which is quite rare in today.s dog eat dog world of finance 👍🏼

Excellent service from start to finish till my new bike arrive before 7am today thej after unpacking which was extremely well done too not a mark on my new bike took five minutes to finish assembly put pedals on handle bars on and front wheel in place extremely satisfied and very happy woth the service from start to finish will be buying my next bike again through wheelbase next time too

I ordered a Riese and Muller bike two months ago and I am still waiting to get the bike. I have called the shop and the staff in Darlington can’t tell me what is going on. I have not been given the code so I can check the bikes progress. At no time have the shop initiated any communication with me. I am very disappointed and I am considering cancelling my order.
