Up & Running Arvostelua

I had a really good experience in the Sheffiel store and the staff were really helpful, advising me which shoes to get. The shoes recommended to me were not in stock in store so I was given a discount code to be able to order them online. As they were a sale item, there were only a few left. Luckily my size was in stock.

I then had issues with DPD and their delivery. They tried to deliver outside of delivery hours, wouldn't deliver to a locker (Up and Running said it wasn't suitable for that) and then when they tried to redeliver the third time, DPD sent them back to the sender without trying to deliver them.

I contacted Up and Running about this and I do understand that this wasn't their issue but their response wasn't very helpful. They told me they were refunding me and that if I wanted the shoes again I would have to put in a reorder. I explained these were a sale item and that I wouldn't be able to just simply reorder and that I also didn't think this was a fair response. When I explained they were now out of stock, I was told to keep 'half an eye out' on the website 'just incase we get your parcel back' or 'just in case someone else returns the same item'.

I explained that to some people £100+ running shoes are not a given, they are a luxury. I had saved for these shoes and spent months trying to find the right fit for my running style etc and I felt that the customer service response was not appreciative of this. As someone that really struggles with running, this experience has put me off ordering from Up and Running ever again.

Mark was great and a huge help! Loads of great advice and support. Would come back for sure. Thank you! (Nottingham store)

Walked into the Darlington store with a niggle from a run the night before and hopped on the treadmill for a minute. Examined my gait and tried on 4 different shoes to remedy this and walked away with the perfect fit... all in 10 mins and the running advisor was very helpful and knowledgeable. Great experience.

Excellent, always helpful. Not the widest range but they will sort for you.

Marine was attentive, positive and gave good advice when asked. A definite asset to the shop.

I went to the Nottingham branch of Up & Running this morning. I had a brain haemorrhage and a speech and language disability (aphasia) and I’m very disabled now. Sally Ann who served me was very helpful. I tried two different pairs and I walked around the shop to see if they were ok for me and one pair was. I would highly recommend the shop for a fantastic service.

wonderful and skillfull staff member!
Sue from Milton Keynes store!

Thanks a lot for your friendly assistance

Reading Store - Nick is amazing!

I wanted some help choosing some trainers for running, Nick performed a Gait analysis and went through what he believes would be best for me, not just which trainers I need but also what exercises I could do to improve my running and not put too much stress on my knees. He’s a credit to your company. 10/10 customer service

Great company to buy from, easy to order and kept informed about delivery. Really please with my GTX Brooks Ghost trainers, which I ordered half a size bigger than usual. I’m using them as a waterproof walking shoe and they are so comfortable!

Maire in the Milton Keynes store was so helpful and friendly. She was assisting two people at the same time and could not have been more attentive.

Visited the Reading branch and was assisted by Nick. He was amazing with us and dealt with multiple queries and advised us amazingly. Such an asset to the company and would highly recommend!

It was my first time in the shop getting a Gait assessment before buying a pair of running shoes. Marine was the colleague in the Milton Keynes shop and was brilliant. She took time to help me and explain everything. I couldn’t recommend the store or Marine enough! Thanks Marine for all your help you’re a credit to the store, amazing service. Thank you :)

Had a great experience with Chris helping me find a suitable marathon training shoe. He was knowledgable and patient and helped me find the perfect shoe without being pushy. Very happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend the shop.

Luke at the Oxford store was amazing, thank you so much! Very helpful, knowledgeable and patient.

I was honestly a little worried about going into the store to have my gait analysis done. I’m on the heavier side and only started running in May, so I had convinced myself I might get laughed out of the shop! 😬

However, with some trepidation, I walked into the Basingstoke store and couldn’t have been made to feel more welcome by Paul.

From the moment I arrived, Paul was friendly, approachable and incredibly knowledgeable. He couldn’t have been more accommodating and immediately put me at ease. The gait analysis was fascinating — he explained exactly how I run, how my foot lands and what that means when choosing the right running shoes. I found the whole experience really interesting and, most importantly, I felt completely comfortable.

I would have happily purchased a pair there and then, but unfortunately the colour I wanted wasn’t quite right for moving into the winter months! 😂

Paul, I genuinely can’t thank you enough for being so kind, friendly and knowledgeable. You made me feel comfortable in an environment where I don’t always feel completely at ease, and that really means a lot.

Thank you, Paul — you’re a credit to the store! 🏃‍♀️👏

David was incredibly helpful! He spent so much time with us to find just the right shoe. I cant reccomend them enough

We had a fantastic experience at up and running Sheffield very helpful with the gait test and helped us chose better trainers that suit us.

I went to Up and running because my physiotherapist recommended I get a gait analysis and invest in some better footwear to help me with my sciatica.
It felt a bit odd heading to a running shop for this, but I'm very glad it was Sallyann served me, because she had suffered with sciatica before and understood and helped me through the process, with excellent advise and no pressure. I tried on many pairs and when it was between two weeks got back on the treadmill which helped me settle on the right pair for me.
Very pleased.

Super friendly, knowledgeable, and genuine. A great experience, really helpful, and SallyAnn was an absolute delight. Thank you

Love the trainers, they’re light, comfortable and bouncy. Speedy delivery too!
