tripadvisor is a forum of users/ travellers-so it provides reliable information about any place before you actually can go there
Thats the biggest advantage as familirisation with the place reduces your anxiety considerabaly.

A very good source of travel information. The only problem I find is that, the discussions or reviews lacks some crucial information regarding the place/hotel. This is not a fault of tripadvisor but the reviewers just miss it. If you can include a more structured review pattern it can help travelers more...

This is reliable and complete informative platform for travellers.

I was acquainted with Tripadvisor when it gave me a platform to review WOW (Women On Wanderlust) ,a Women's Only, Delhi-based travel company who cheated me. Since then I'm reviewing places for Tripadvisor and sharing my first hand experiences to help travellers. In the process I'm also being helped by Tripadvisor's reviews.

This is an unbiased platform. The new app makes it easy to post reviews and photos.

Tripadvisor is no doubt a right Platform for the Travel Community. But as a reviewer, I feel there should be more clarity. For example as some one who reviews, I dont know how to contact the trip advisor executives through Telephone. Because you cannot convey everything effectively through e mail. I believe Reviewers should be encouraged with some incentives to visit and post reviews as many of us cannot afford the trips. I find Tripadvisor an excellent service over the crowdsource. I am using the word "service" consciously. Most of the reviews are genuine, and reflect traveler experiences, which in turn guide other travelers get a better experience. My whole family start all travel plans by a visit to TA, and we are also guided by what we see there. In turn, we try to provide whatever small guidance we can in the form of sincere reviews.

A few reviews, albeit a few, seem fake, and are generated by unscrupulous hotels, and can easily be sorted out by checking on the reviewer's own credentials, they are usually first time users, and the id's obviously have been created to generate these entries.

An added benefit is the availability of rate comparisons for Hotels from various sites. However, of late, I checked some "deal" buttons, which led me to the particular site, with many "deals", but missing the particular hotel on which I had clicked. Obviously, sites are just trying to lure a footfall away from you.

Keep up the great service that you have built, and we shall remain loyal members.

I have found the transparency on web page and honesty with the viewer. I trust the community and gets very good informal information from the site. Again very easy to browse and light to use.

Trip advisor is a most liked platform for travellers allover the world. This is being used by travellers to get firsthand information about different airlines, hotel and restaurants etc. Travellers are benefited by getting advance knowledge about the places they want to visit which saves lot of time in search and being uncertained about the quality of the services they want to use.
I strongly recommend every traveller must visit this site while planning a trip and read various reviews from actual travellers about the various services at the places they plan to visit as it will save them time money and uncertainty and ro get best value of money abf joy.
