We took Translowcost to court and won. Our experience with them was terrible—stressful, frustrating, and depressing. We photographed everything before, during, and after the move, and we have clear proof that many of our items were damaged and not wrapped or handled carefully—or at all.
We asked for a refund of the service fees and compensation for the bed, chairs, table, lamps, bowls, plates, and boxes they damaged. Translowcost acknowledged the lack of premium service but only offered us a small amount, which felt like an insult given what we had paid and the damage we could clearly prove.
Only at the second court hearing did they agree to refund us €2,000. It still cost us significant time, energy, and money to reach that point. Translowcost were a nightmare for us—we honestly wish we had never hired them.
If you want a refund from Translowcost then take them to the Small Claims Court. We did, and we got our €2,000 back. While we couldn’t recover compensation for the damaged items (without going to a higher court), getting the service fee refunded made the effort worthwhile.
Moving house is stressful enough—choose your removal company carefully. Go with one that has good, consistent reviews. Good luck with moving!

Last May, I moved from Brussels to the Algarve, and for someone who has moved frequently, I have never experienced anything like Translowcostportugal. The delivery guys were rude and complaining about the stuff that had to be taken to different floors. They even left a sofa bed in the hallway with plastic and their blanket on it. I got a box with almost all my stuff broken, and I'm still missing two boxes with kitchen stuff and a monitor. My office chair arrived broken and without a wheel, a large clock has the numbers smashed in, and more. I am calling on anyone who has experienced or is still experiencing problems with them to respond to this message. I am preparing to take legal action against them.

Meerprijs moet je wel betalen, want ze weigeren anders om je spullen te bezorgen. Na dat we de schade hadden gezien hebben we gereclameerd maar zonder resultaat, gewoon geen reactie. Met name de eigenaresse is zeer onvriendelijk en legt alles bij haar personeel neer. De verhuisers waren wel vriendelijk.

A pior transportadora que já utilizei. O camião que foi pago não veio, apareceu outro sem material de recolha. O GPS não funcionou, o transporte veio com 2 dias de atraso e fui eu que paguei grande parte dos caixotes para a mudança. Esta empresa é uma vergonha

Appauling service. Lack of communication, no agreed timings and when they do they leave you sitting their for a full day. Try to overprice you after they quoted and now have goods. Absolute scammers

Uma transportadora horrível. Nada recomendada. Só no caso de desejarem que a mercadoria chegue completamente danificada, ou mercadoria em falta ou até receber mobiliário de outras pessoas...
Marquei uma mudança para portugal com a translowcost, por me terem oferecido um orçamento em conta. O levantamento do mobiliário no país de origem foi feito atempadamente mas a entrega com 1 semana de atraso.
No dia de entrega chegaram primeiramente pela manhã com a mercadoria de outra pessoa pois o primeiro nome seria o mesmo. Eu disse que as coisa não eram minhas e voltaram pela tarde para entregar os meus pertences... os moveis estavam completamente danificados , como uma mesa de madeira maciça partida ao meio e todos os moveis ficaram riscados, lascados ou partidos. Uma caixa ainda está em falta e descarregaram caixas que não me pertencem. Já informei para virem buscar mas ainda não o fizeram... só será feito quando tiverem tempo."foi-me respondido"
Quanto aos danos, não se responsabilisam por nada.

Ils sont malhonnêtes et ne respectent pas leurs engagements. Ils ont dégradés certains de mes biens et ne m’ont plus jamais répondu pour rembourser les dégâts. Je ne recommande pas, à fuir ! Aucun respect pour leur client

I moved from Portugal to Spain on Sept 15th of 2023. They delivered many days later and missing two key tools for my daily job. Today, 20 DAYS LATER, my tools are not here yet! I explained I NEEDED THEM FOR MY DAILY JOB AND THAT THEY WERE MAKING ME LOSE MONEY FOR NOT HAVING IT, they basically didn't care at all, said "they tracked the things, that were delivered to another client in another place of the world, that they would send the assets right away... STILL WAITING!!!
I had to spend €300 to replace one of the tools to stop losing time and money and they neither want to pay for it, telling me that the assets "are on the way"!
SAVE TIME AND MONEY, HIRE ANOTHER COMPANY!! The "Low Cost" ends up being a way higher cost than what you'd spend on any other company!

Stockage en mon absence à Béziers. Je viens de récupérer ce déménagement.
Il manque une télévision neuve!

- Paguei perto de 5000 euros por uma mudança internacional em que me garantiam um transporte exclusivo, mas o qual não se verificou, atrasando a minha entrega no pais de destino. Argumentaram que os funcionários estariam a "ajudar" outros colegas em França. Mas não foram essas as condições acordadas. Se não fosse exclusivo teria sido bem mais barato !!!!!
- No emails que trocamos garatiam seguro de recheiro transportado, o qual NÂO EXISTE!!!
- Danificaram artigos durante o transporte incluindo televisão, mesa e móvel de casa de banho, mas RECUSAM qualquer RESPONSABILIDADE e não querem pagar os artigos danificados!!! INACEITÁVEL
- Quando recarregaram as nossas coisas, um funcionário da empresa disse que as nossas coisas estavam bem embaladas (inclusivé muito melhor do que por eles realizadas) e disse também QUE SE ALGUM ARTIGO FOSSE DANIFICADO NO transporte, a seguradora PAGAVA os danos;
- Foi pedido nome da seguradora e nº da apólice que nunca forneceram (ilegal)
- Péssimo atendimento ao cliente. Inúmeras chamadas sem resposta ou simplesmente enrolam e enganam o cliente dizendo que existe um departamento "interno" que trata das reclamações mas aparentemente, o cliente não pode falar directamente com esse departamento;
- para além disso e altamente GRAVE, ILEGAL E NÃO ÉTICO, os funcionários que realizaram o transporte tinham montado um colçhão em cima das nossas coisas (na parte de trás da carrinha) de modo a que um dormisse enquanto o outro conduzia a carrinha!!!!
ESTA EMPRESA É LIXO!

My things take too long to arrive, I had to call several times and they do not respond to my email, and still had my refrigerator came with damage and they do not want to pay anything.

Contactei esta empresa para receber cotação para mudança de casa , fui informado que iria receber e-mail com preço para o mesmo, após dias de espera do e-mail que não chegava voltei a contactar a empresa, estranhando ausência de resposta à minha solicitação, seguidamente recebi desta empresa e-mail com informação que não podiam dar preço,!!! ???
o que conseguiram foi que perdesse tempo com isto tudo, péssimo serviço e desprezo pelo cliente!
NÃO RECOMENDO!!!

une vraie catastrophe la livraison effectuée en 2 fois avec un retard de plus de 3 semaines manque des objets aucun recours j'avais pris le service plus resultats livraison fractionnée avec un intervalle de 15 jours un radiateur electrique manquant et 2 cartons transporteur a éviter scandaleux aucune excuse pour ces déboires

J'ai réservé et payé 6 mois à l'avance, une semaine avant du chargement ils me disent qu'ils ne peuvent pas venir chercher mes affaires. Maison vendue pas de transporteurs disponibles en une semaine…. La galère….

Pas contente de la prestation finale !! chargement en France parfait nous avions tout protégé !! et arrivé à leur dépôt au Portugal ils ont déchargé le camion sans notre accord !!!! pour tout remettre dans un autre camion sans faire attention à nos protection !!!! arrivé dans notre maison au Portugal il y a avait forcement des détériorations car nos protections avaient été enlevés sur certains objets !!! 😢😢😢on me dit que c'est de notre responsabilité de protéger !!! en revanche décharger nos affaires dans un autre camion sans notre consentement et donc sans notre présence !!!!!! visiblement c'est normal ..... j'ai demandé une indemnisation mais visiblement je vais pouvoir juste regarder mes affaires abimées ....

Ce transporteur est a fuir. Après le paiement de l acompte, aucune nouvelle de leur part pour connaître la date du chargement des meubles. Lors du chargement, 5m cube ont été facturés en + alors que nous avions déménagé dans un camion de 8m cube 2 semaines avant les mêmes meubles. Du Vol !! Puis a la livraison du chargement 2 semaines après, les meubles étaient abîmés, le tissu du canapé déchiré, le pied du canapé cassé etc etc...les photos ont été envoyées des meubles saccagé et la réponse qu on vous donne est l assurance n est pas comprise dans le prix !!! Alors avant le paiement de l acompte c est compris dans le prix mais après la livraison c est plus le cas ! Sachant qu en amont, j ai relancé une bonne dizaine de fois pour obtenir un contrat de prestation qui ne m a jamais été donné ainsi qu une facture qui ne m a jamais été envoyé non plus. A savoir aussi que la livraison a été faite avec 2 jours de retard et que personne ne vous prévient!! Tout simplement du vol, une escroquerie ! Cet établissement devrait être fermé pour défaut de service et escroquerie ! C est un scandale

Transporteur a fuir absolument !!! manque de sérieux dates de chargement et déchargement aléatoire plus ou moins 2 jours selon leurs envies. Le chauffeur était seul pour décharger obligé de faire appel à des personnes extérieures alors que la prestation était payé , et pour finir une grosse partie des meubles avaient des impacts important .
Discussion impossible avec la société.

Trans Low Cost n'est pas fiable quand à ses responsabilités.
J'ai payé une formule max pour 1 demenagement d'Orléans à Minde au Portugal.
Le camion a eu une casse d'essieu en Espagne et a du est remorqué.
15 jours de retard sur la livraison des meubles et 1 pierre en marbre cassee en deux morceaux.
Translowcost considère que ce n'est pas de leur responsabilité.
Ils refusent de rembourser la casse.
Un comportement irresponsable de mauvaise foi.
Ne passez pas par eux!

hi with all honesty concerning customer assistance and contact i am please but ... i am now starting to get anxious as my things have not yet arrived in the uk/ apparently there have been a few issues with the vans etc but i have to keep on at them and it is now worrying me as i keep being given different dates / it is now starting to hinder me and the dates have not been confirmed / so yes i am worried / it has been well over a month / it was all expected to be around the 18th october/ now they are saying they estimate it in november / then it is holidays then they had problems with the vans / i just pray this now happens as it is giving me a lot of instability and insecurity / the ladies in the office i feel dont know what else to say i do sympathise with them / but if they have so many clients surely this should work on priorities / well i just pray all happens smoothly and urgently as you can all imagine how frustrating it is to be in this situation/ wishing them all the best of luck thank you

Awful transporter, do not warn and find false justification when their guys are late. When transport is canceled because they missed the meeting, they keep the money and do not refund. Do not waste your time and money with them!!!!
