Trademarkia Arvostelua 

Wasn't disclosed to me the difficulty of getting the name of my company trademarked. Tried to charge me over and over again for steps in the normal process of filing for the trademark. They waited until the last moment to communicate when they needed something from me. When I grew frustrated and withdrew the name but asked them to continue with the logo portion, they did not and now it's marked as abandoned by the trademark office. After it was abandoned, they notified me I could speak briefly with their lawyers for free for a short session, but during the process wanted to charge a ridiculous hourly rate I couldn't afford. They cited fine print found o their website that absolves themselves from any mistakes or issues that they create along the way. Now I'm waiting to raise some capital so that I can afford to re-do my trademark elsewhere.

We have had an excellent experience registering multiple trademarks with Trademarkia. Our attorney is knowledgeable and engaged. He got the job done when we were not sure if it was possible.

The application was reviewed and submitted without any issue. I was kept up to date on the progress all along the process.

I submitted their online application for a trademark for my business name. That’s all I did. I then get an email back saying that my name “might” conflict or cause confusion with another company’s name and that it may take more money to get it through. I decided it wasn’t worth the trouble to try to get the trademark so I requested a refund. They refused to refund my money because in their opinion, “After evaluating your concerns and reviewing your request for a refund our Client Services team has determined that our attorney has utilized and applied their legal expertise in evaluating, analyzing and attempting to prepare your trademark application prior to your recent refund request. In this instance, the services were performed by your attorney before a refund was requested and unfortunately, we cannot grant a refund.” I appreciate the heads up they provided but to charge me $200 for that is a rip off. I’m sure their “research” involved quickly checking a database which brought up another somewhat similar name (I personally didn’t see any “confusion” with it). So, now I’m out $200. What a scam. Don’t use this company. If they reply at all to your application, they will deem that “advice” and keep your money.

Updated July 4. So I contacted this individual and got the same response I explained above. Again, buyer beware.
