The B&C 10HPL64 and Radian 6CRF5130
Ordered four units of the B&C 10HPL64 along with my coaxial drivers. As always, TLHP provided secure double-boxing and fast international shipping. The 10HPL64 is an incredible mid-bass driver – rigid cast aluminum basket, powerful neodymium motor structure, and very clean free-air impedance measurements showing excellent unit-to-unit matching. Perfect choice for high-end active multi-way systems where speed, efficiency, and low distortion are required. Highly recommended!

Disappointing experience with THLP…
Disappointing experience with THLP ordering 2 LaVoce drivers for use in open baffles. They shipped mismatched drivers that had come from two completely different production runs, with visibly different cone and dustcap doping and different colored magnet assemblies. This was totally avoidable as they were in clearly different factory boxes and the serial numbers on the boxes showed they were from different production runs. It is a pretty reasonable assumption that a buyer would expect matching drivers when buying a pair. It would have been a simple matter to email me and warn me of the mismatch before dispatching and give me the opportunity to contact LaVoce for information on the changes between production runs and thus wait until matching drivers were in stock. Given I was ordering from overseas, returning the drivers was not economically viable. Partial refund was refused - only a small credit note of no value to me was offered.
It makes no business sense to lose a potential repeat customer for the sake of a small compensatory refund. Had they handled this well I would have continued to purchase from TLHP and recommend them to others.

We are sorry that the visual differences between the two drivers affected your open-baffle project.
Following your complaint, we submitted the complete case, including your photographs, to the manufacturer. They confirmed that both units are compliant and technically and acoustically equivalent. They also explained that the differences in motor finish and cone treatment are linked to production changes and manual application processes, without any impact on performance.
The product concerned is sold individually and not as a factory-matched pair, and TLHP does not offer matching by production batch, serial number or cosmetic finish.
Nevertheless, we fully understood that visual consistency was important for your project. Despite the conformity of both units being confirmed by the manufacturer, we proposed a commercial gesture within the possibilities available to us, which you chose not to accept.
We regret that the outcome did not meet your expectations, but your complaint was carefully reviewed and handled directly with the manufacturer.
Best regards, TLHP.
