I ordered an oak worktop and sadly there were quite a few defects. I understand that it's hard to produce a 3m length free from defects but I'd have hoped they would've been treated better.
This includes several knots that were only partly filmed, several smaller holes that had not been filled at all, and some sort of bubble or void just underneath the surface of what was meant to be a solid board.
Credit where it's due, they offered to collect it, inspect it and return it but the timescale for this didn't work for me (7 days to collect, 5-10 to inspect, and then presumably another 7 days to return).
I really wish that the quality of product matched the price tag better.

It’s with great regret that I’m having to write this review especially with the great reviews the company has but my experience is just not expectable.

Placed an order for worktops on the morning of 03/02/2026 which were in stock and paid in full at the time of purchase.
In the afternoon of 03/02/2026 I received a confirmation call to confirm my worktops would be delivered on 12/02/2026. I confirmed this would be okay as long as they promised this date as I had a carpenter booked in for the 12th and 13th and the worktops were required for the specific work.
I was assured that there would be no issue with delivery and I would have them on the 12th.

8 days later at 10am on the 11/02/2026 (the day before delivery)I had a missed call and an email saying that they were really sorry but my worktops are now discontinued and I won’t be receiving my order at all.
As you can imagine this isn’t what you need to hear the day before installation.

I spoke with Pat from tops worktops who I will say was very apologetic as I explained the situation. Unfortunately nothing could be done apart from a lot of sorry’s.
so I’ve ended up with no worktops and having to pay a carpenter for a loss of wages for a day.
Just to top it all off when I asked for a refund I was told it could take up to 14 days to receive my £1,835 that was taken for worktops that didn’t even exist.

All I would say is check, double check and then triple check this company has what you want before you place the order.
You could end up in the same situation as me.

WEB page was to navigate and use. I needed to speak to customer support and spoke to Pat ( I believe) who was courteous, friendly, authoritative and helpful. This was my first order with Top Worktops, as they delivered in my area, which I relocated to last year. I’ve fitted plenty of Oak tops for my customers in the past, and I must say, I was so pleased I decided to order these.
From a quick message to keep me updated on a delivery time, the two guys brought them in.

Delivered on time.

Easy to order and in a big enough variety of lengths, thicknesses and woods. Very fairly priced. Arrived when told it would with the delivery team phoning on the day to advise of expected arrival time.
Worktop was wrapped in protective material and the delivery team of two carried it to where requested. Worktop looked good and when installed and oiled was even better than expected. Highly recommended.

Easy to order delivers when we were told it was on its way, the only downside we’ve found is that when you order it tells you on the website what days the deliveries are delivered to your postcode we found that incorrect and delivery was on a day we were not thinking it would be delivered aside from that it was only a couple of days later than we expected overall from order to delivery we were very happy with our experience and on top of that the quality of the worktops are fantastic solid, very heavy, no bending when picking them up and it took two strong men to do that and very thick, they are now treated and installed and look fantastic would definitely buy from them again

Great price and service. Top quality. One of the worktops was slightly damaged on one side, but could flip it over. Only concern was could be better packaged for shipping as I guess this is where it got damaged
