Cartmel Hourglass Side Table

When paying so much for items from TWC why do they choose to use Evri. I purchased the Cartmel Hourglass Side Table in the sale. Everything was fine until it reached Evri. It arrived at the local delivery depot and immediately stated it cannot be delivered today and this status did not change for nearly a week with no update. I contacted TWC who said they would recall this order and send a replacement which they did but sending it by Evri again. All went well until the item arrived at my local Evri delivery depot. Exactly the same thing has happened again. The same message stating that it cannot be delivered today! I am now on day 5 with no update on what has happened to the replacement delivery. In the meantime I reordered the item as I now needed it urgently and paying an additional £7.99 for next day delivery to ensure it arrived by a different carrier. I actually have received it via Royal Mail although even this wasn't delivered on the chosen delivery day but a day late. So now I have spent another £112.99 because of this debacle to ensure I received the product. I have contacted TWC customer services about the missing delivery and have been told I will get an update in 24 to 48 hours whilst they contact Evri for an update. Given the vast amount of money I spend with TWC, I am extremely disappointed that I am having to chase continually regarding late deliveries. This really makes me wary of ordering further products now due to the stress of whether items will arrive given Evri is used by default it seems unless you pay extra for delivery.

I placed an order for a mirror on 25…

I placed an order for a mirror on 25 February and was advised delivery would take up to 3 weeks. I was then given and booked a delivery date of 20 March, which I later found out was only an “approximate” date – very misleading.
I am now approaching 5 weeks since placing the order and still have no item and no clear information.
I have contacted Wincanton, who told me the item has been passed to a third-party company, but they cannot provide any further details or even confirm who that company is. I have also contacted The White Company multiple times, including calls and emails, and have received no meaningful update. At this point, I am the one constantly chasing, while no one can tell me where my order is, who has it, or when it will be delivered. This gives me no confidence that I will receive my item anytime soon.
What is particularly frustrating is that this is not the first time I have experienced this. In October, I ordered photo frames for my sister and after multiple attempts to have them sent to Jersey, they arrived over 7 weeks later, missing her birthday.
I love the products, but the delivery process and lack of accountability are extremely disappointing. As the retailer, The White Company should take responsibility and have full visibility over their delivery partners.
I still want the item, but the lack of communication, repeated issues, and ongoing delays are unacceptable.

Seychelles Indulgent Gift Set - Broken Glass Candle Received Twice.

My son bought a Seychelles Indulgent Gift Set as a present for Mother’s Day. As a 17 year old student who doesn’t earn a great deal, it was a thoughtful and expensive gift. When opening the gift box my wife discovered the candle was broken and unusable. Following the online process my son contacted customer service as was offered an exchange and a paltry £10 gesture of goodwill. We have today received the replacement and have found the candle is in a worse state than the previous set. Absolutely disgusted that my son has to once again try to resolve a matter which shouldn’t have happened once never mind twice.
I would recommend do not use this company as they clearly do not take customer satisfaction seriously.

Dangerous- Take Care / Reed Diffusers

Until The White Company change the lids on their Reed diffusers I will not be buying anymore. They are a home health & safety nightmare, perhaps as a team building exercise they could challenge their executive team to open them and then let their customers into the secret.

Slow delivery with no updates

Obviously White Company products are the most beautiful high quality you can buy but, ordering them online or even in store and you'll be waiting weeks for delivery. I think 3 weeks is the record at the moment. So don't order if you're in a hurry. I think their distribution centre must be on the moon!

poor experience with furniture delivery

Very poor experience with your delivery. Vague ‘it’s being processed’ initially and then Evri cancelling delivery last minute. Really need to up your game on delivery.

Avoid. Shocking customer service and still no refund

I bought a diffuser from The White Company for my partners birthday in February 2025, which stopped working after 11 months.

What followed was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had ever.

I emailed The White Company to claim under the 12 month warranty. My initial email was ignored. I chased a week later… ignored again. I then contacted them via their webchat service and was told someone would follow up on my issue. No one did.

Upon contacting them again, I was promised a replacement or refund plus a 15% goodwill discount on my next purchase. This was then suddenly retracted by the agent (Nothando), who claimed the warranty had expired despite me reporting the issue weeks earlier and being ignored.

After a long and frustrating back and forth, I was told to return the item for a refund (no offer of repair or replacement). I did exactly that.

I am still waiting for my refund and have been completely ignored.

I also had to chase the promised discount code, which unsurprisingly doesn’t even work. Invalid discount code…

Communication throughout has been inconsistent and at times unprofessional, with frequent spelling mistakes and contradictory responses within their webchat.

Overall, this has been a complete waste of time. I would strongly advise others to avoid The White Company, they don’t care about their customers or their reputation.

How difficult to order from this…

How difficult to order from this company.
You order first day of sale ,no mention of item not being in stock , they receive your money and then you wait and you wait , on contacting them you are told the stock level is that they are waiting for presumably someone to send back and then they will process your order , meanwhile they have your money .

Please refund me for the item I paid for and never received!

The White Company took payment for an item I ordered online and, 9 DAYS later, they still have not processed my order. I asked for the order to be cancelled, since I never received it but they say they cannot issue a refund until it is dispatched (?!) This seems weird to me - it is clear that the item has not been received (it is still sitting in their warehouse). I have raised a case about this order and have been chasing The White Company for the past 6 days with no success.
If I can't get a refund until the order is dispatched then why won't they dispatch it?
Despite contacting customer services several times asking them to dispatch so that they can refund me, the order remains (9 DAYS LATER) unprocessed. It seems that they are delaying dispatch to avoid having to refund me.

Ordered an item for Mother's day. 5 days later they have only just sent an email informing me its on its way to evri and could take a further 48 hours! The item was in stock and they charged for delivery. All you get from them on Chat is generic copy and paste/ AI responses. So ill now receive my item well after mother's day. Thanks the White company!!! Top job. Ill never be ordering again from you

Awful quality

I ordered a dried linium wreath which was absolutely awful. Very poor quality, not uniform, no way to hang it. I tried to write a review on the actual website but couldn’t. Now questioning whether the many positive reviews are actually genuine. I buy regularly from the White Company and to be fair this is the first time I have been disappointed. But this product is well below par in my opinion so will be returned

What’s the point of paying express delivery if it turns up when it wants?

I have bought a lot of white company bits over the years but I ordered some glasses online for the first time for urgent delivery. 7.99 for pick a date and time delivery is not to bad so long as they turn up. They didn’t turn up and and they still hasn’t turned up the day after . No help what so ever from the agent online and no sign of my glasses. Won’t be ordering online again.

Lovely products but slow delivery

Lovely products. Great quality. But unfortunately delivery times to Ireland are too slow and they provide you with a UK tracking link that doesn't work. From now on I will just buy in store.

Poor customer service

I’ve ordered from this company several times over the year’s and never had an issue but then I’ve never had to deal with their customer services before who quite frankly do not care about customer satisfaction.
I opted to have my most recent order packaged in their gift box however it arrived with the lid torn almost completely off and with no signs of damage to the delivery box I can only assume it left the white company like this, no big deal mistakes happen so I contacted them to arrange a replacement but I was told they won’t send a gift box as a stand alone item I explained im not trying to order it as a standalone item and I just wanted a replacement for damaged goods but they didn’t care and still refused.
If you want to charge premium prices im afraid you have to offer a premium service, won’t be buying from here again

Don't bother or trust them for important deliveries!

Can not be trusted for an important gift delivery. Ordered in plenty of time. Paid next day delivery. Info states on website next day before 4pm. Even before 4pm, I could only select 2 days later (not next day then is it?!) but opted for this. Then 2 days later, a dispatch email but no DPD tracking. Parcel hadn't been picked up yet due to failure of The White Company to dispatch it in time, and wouldn't be delivered in time.

Product quality is generally good still, and the basics are letting The White Company down here! Considering the price point of the products and company reputation you expect so much more!... Really really disappointing. Thanks for ruining a birthday and mother's day plans.

Poor at best

Ordered 3 candles on the 5th march for Mothers day. The order appeared on the Evri app, the status stayed the same so I contacted TWC on 12th March to see what was happening. The customer service agent (or lack of customer service) stated it was lost in transit. She then said she could re order but it would take up to 5 days to get to me. I asked if they could send faster, only to be told I would have to cancel the order and select the higher priced faster delivery with a voucher from TWC. Unfortunately I have to work for a living so don't have the time to keep cancelling and reordering the same products when its your supply chain at fault. The customer service is dire at best. I will not be ordering from this shower of a company again.
