No, no way! I happened to notice 2 days ago that a packet of Wild Atlantic Haddock had been frozen in April 2023 with a BB4 date of September 2026. I was utterly horrified. Unfortunately, I had just put in a £177 order to stock up. Parcel arrived today and I have checked every packet. 3/4 of the delivery will be chucked because these items (especially Sushi tuna, etc.,) was frozen in the 1st and 2nd quarters of 2025. We are now the 3rd quarter of 2026. I simply will not put 15 month-old fish into the bellies of my family. This is appalling, and I don't care how long it's safe, etc. We are supposed to be buying FRESH fish - "Fresh seafood", it says on Google. It is NOT fresh - so everybody, check the freeze date and decide how you feel.

My fish arrived deep frozen, no mean achievement this summer. The quality from FS is always premier, in this case the monkfish tails and salmon Saku were delicious. Unhesitatingly recommend.

I’ve just placed my second, large for me and my wife only orders, I’ve always preferred fresh over frozen, every time my decision has been right based on the frozen fish I’ve had before, some from the fishmonger’s’who I guess froze it because he couldn’t sell it fresh in time, or the frost bitten supermarket offerings, I don’t know how they freeze the fish here, it must be a more efficient method because I’ve not had such juicy sweet fish like this since I used to catch my own. I’m not a great one for grilled fish, much preferred by me is a nice beer batter or breadcrumb cooked in beef dripping, but I’ve tried some wild British butterflied red mullet as it sounds delicious, I’m a haddock and cod person in that order. Thank you for the outstanding customer support and service I’ve received. I recommend them without reservation
