Although buying a home can be quite stressful, but we appreciate the support provided by Barinder Sangha in helping us through the process and getting everything in place for completion. Also, Jaspal Bhogal and Aaliyah Archer were always helpful if Barinder was not around.

Disappointing experience - poor communication and constant chasing
We chose Talbots Law because they were local, believing this would make the house-buying process easier, quicker and better coordinated. We deliberately decided against using the solicitors recommended by our estate agent. Unfortunately, having now completed our purchase, I regret that decision.
The whole process felt unnecessarily long and difficult. Communication was my biggest frustration. I regularly found myself chasing for updates, trying to understand what was outstanding and what needed to happen next. I appreciate conveyancing involves multiple parties and that not every delay is within a solicitor's control, but keeping clients informed and proactively managing the process should be a basic expectation.
The online portal was also disappointing. It offered little meaningful visibility of progress and certainly didn't make the experience any easier.
Even on completion day, the communication was poor. Our estate agent contacted us to confirm completion, and we had already collected the keys before Talbots called to confirm - around half an hour later. That rather summed up the experience.
I chose a local firm because I wanted a more personal, responsive service, particularly during such a significant purchase. Instead, I felt that much of the responsibility for keeping things moving and coordinating updates fell to me.
We got there in the end, but the experience was considerably more stressful and frustrating than it needed to be.
Based on my experience, I would not choose Talbots again, nor could I comfortably recommend them.
